The classroom fan buzzed overhead, pushing warm air around the room like it was doing a favor. Borey slouched in his seat near the back, chin resting on one hand, the other doodling tiny mechas in the corner of his workbook. History class dragged on, Miss Cheata's voice barely cutting through the hum of heat and boredom. Outside the window, the sky looked too bright, too calm.
His phone buzzed in his pocket—twice—but he ignored it. Probably his friend from the other class messing around again. He didn't know that twenty kilometers away, Takeo's province had already cracked open into something far more brutal. That while he memorized dates of old wars, a different kind of war had already begun.
Borey was sitting in his classroom while doing some math equation preparing for BACII when suddenly every student are screaming and running nonstop in the hallway and the scream had been heard all around school, making everyone in the class hurriedly look out the window.
People are…biting each others? He took a little time to process before running out of the classroom as fast as he could to his friends class. Upon arriving, he witnessed a most unsettling incident….his friend was bitten by a Zombie? Borey hurriedly went to his friends size before pulling that zombie away and grab his friends hand for the run.
"I was bitten.." his friend said while holding onto the wound that slightly injured with blood while they're running nonstop looking for a secure spot to hide temporarily. As borey run into an empty classroom, he hurriedly close the door before turning to his friend, Vichea with a worried expression.
"Chea, you're okay?"
Before Borey can say anything more, Vichea show him the bit mark…. Borey look horrified
"You got bitten…."
"Is it like Train to Busan?" He chuckle weakly while sweating heavily
"Tell my mom I love her,…" he said before his eyes turning blurry
"If it's really train to busan, you need to Stay Alive…" he said giving borey his cellphone
"Contact your mom, my mom too to evacuate….they're..in the market… it will be so dangerous" he said weakly.
Borey grab the phone before dialing his mom number while looking at Vichea pale face full of sweat.
"Mom!" Borey said worriedly
" Rey, where are you ? Are you safe?" A scream can be herd in the background
"Mom, I'm safe. Please evacuate. It's so dangerous out there" Borey becomes more worried with the whole background noise
" Borey, No matters what. You have to stay alive. No Matter What!! You…ha..v.e to stay…ALIVE…mom love you" the phone suddenly got cut off
"Mom!" Borey said while vichea suddenly stand up and walk toward him. Borey turn to Vichea , vichea is heading toward him from the other corner of the class with a paleface and…white eyes…
"Chea…" before he could say anything. Vichea suddenly jump on him to the ground and trying to bite him with the weird noise..zezeze. Borey tried his best to defend himself. He realized it's really is Train to Busan just…this is real.
Borey put all his night together before pushing vichea backwards and run toward the door. He know it's a silly think to do but he had no choice, he had no weapon or anything useful.
As he successfully open the door…it was…Empty. It feel like the whole zombie already reached the Uban part of the province. Without another thought Borey run out of the class room from the 2nd floor to the ground floor and hurriedly run outside while following by Vichea who is running toward him.
