The Forsaken Knight blitzed forward, shattering the stone beneath its feet.
Its figure seemed to blip out of existence. However, Sunny could still see it.
Sunny melted into the shadows, appearing behind the knight, Using [Feather of Truth] making his fist as heavy as a mountain, he slammed it into the knight's side. He felt the dark armor crack under his knuckles.
Crashing into a column, Sunny stalked over to the knight.
"Come on! This is all you got?!"
Sunny snarled.
Grabbing the knight's neck, Sunny stared at the two crimson flames nestled between the knights visor.
"I'm just getting started…"
Using all his Supreme strength, Sunny lifted the knight to the air, and threw him across the hall.
The knight lingered in the air for a moment, falling eerily slowly, before crashing into the ground and scraping across the stone floor.
Sunny watched the scene with dark glee.
Soon the knight rose from the ground, with hunched shoulders, its lanky arms hanging loosely, It glanced over at the column by Sunny where its long sword layed. Shifting its gaze back to its former killer, the crimson flames ignited even brighter. Wisps of red flames licking the edge of the visor with rage.
Sunny grinned.
"Come at me, bastard."
Breaking out into a sprint the knight ran toward Sunny. Mirroring the wretch Sunny followed suit. As they clashed, Sunny fought with formless grace, weaving his blade around the knight as he would forging a Memory. The black knight on the other hand, fought with an unorthodox style that it did not use when it was in life.
Its body moved strangely, moving around Sunny opposite of its center of gravity. Where its hips would go, its torso shifted and lagged behind. Its arms still hung loose, each strake was like a viscous snap of a whip.
'What the hell kinda hand to hand fighting is this?'
The knight danced around Sunny like a snake slithering around its prey's neck.
Sunny continued to flow like a tide of shadows, ever moving, ever changing, dancing between styles he had acquired over the years of combat. The dark odachi would shift between a tachi, and a spear seamlessly.
However, the strange style the black knight used, seemed to perfectly counter all of Sunny's attacks. Sunny's tachi twirled in his palm, deflecting a strike from the knight's fist; in the brief moment of pause, Sunny shoved the knight's hand and kicked it in the chest.
***
"Looks like you picked up some new tricks in your eternal slumber. Good, keep it interesting."
Dismissing the manifested shadows, Sunny cracks his knuckles.
The black knight tilted its head slightly.
Sunny walks in an unhurried manner, each step measured, and indifferent to the demigod standing in front of him. Sunny himself was now a demigod as well.
Smacking its fist against its chest twice, the knight started its approach to Sunny.
Elemental darkness bled from the knight's knuckles, its crimson eyes raging like twin tornados. The great hall seemed to be shrouded in black, like a starless night.
Shadows were kicked up as Sunny walked, swirling around his feet, beckoning him. They were eager to answer his call, eager to follow the will of their supreme ruler.
Standing close enough that Sunny could feel his warm breath bouncing off the visor of the knight.
'Standing this close feels a bit intimate. If Effie was here I'm sure she'd have plenty of jokes.'
Sunny balled his fist, straining his muscles, he twisted his torso, and his fist flew toward his mark. Now that Sunny was a Supreme, his Will was more of a weapon than it ever has been before. Enveloping the world around him, he Willed his strike to land true, truer than any strike he has ever unleashed before.
He also Willed his fist to define the laws of wind resistance, allowing it to not just cut through the air, but devour it.
The black knight could not react, nor did it want to. It wanted to take the brunt of Sunny blow, it wanted to show him that it was superior.
The shadows trembled.
The darkness braced.
Sunny's first met the side anthracite armor, shattering like glass, a thunderclap reverberated through the great hall. The stone ground shook, stone columns vibrated, loose debris fell from the ceiling.
However, even taking the full might of a Supreme Titan. The Forsaken knight stood its ground, not budging, its feet cemented to the ground. Darkness oozed from the gash on the side of the knight.
Sunny eyes narrow.
'Crap.'
The knight clinched its dark fist, straining its ethereal muscles, it twisted its torso, and his fist flew toward his mark. The Forsaken knight was now a Cursed one, which means it Will can also shape the laws of the world.
Its fist blipped from existence, appearing on Sunny's side. The moment Sunny felt contact, he commanded the Jade mantle to weigh as heavy as it could. The knight's fist dug into Sunny's side, his armor managed to remain in one piece, but a net of cracks stretched up his side. Sunny felt his ribs fracture.
His vision flashing black.
A second thunderclap echoed through the great hall. The stone under them split, two columns to their left collapsed, causing some of the roof to cave in. Dust shot up from the ground filling the hall in a shroud of dust fog.
The artificial sun from the Crimson Spire, shone through the hole in the ceiling.
The knight's strike was dreadful. Briefly knocking Sunny unconscious.
However…
Sunny remained planted. Unmoving. As if the strike was too insignificant. Unworthy of the Lord of Shadows time.
'Holy shit, that hurt..'
Taking a painful shaky breath, Sunny looked up to the two meter tall knight. Only able to see the two red flames through the dust.
Sunny felt the warm heat of the artificial sun. It was nostalgic. This whole thing was.
Sunny let out a dark laugh.
When the dust settled, the Forsaken knight looked down at the young man, however now, instead of seeing his handsome features. He saw a fearsome black mask of lacquered wood, carved to resemble a ferocious demon. Its teeth bared, with four fangs protruding from its mouth. There were three twisted horns rising from it like a crown.
Inside the black chasm of its eyes was nothing but pure darkness
"Was that supposed to hurt?"
Sunny punched the knight once more. The world around them quaked.
The knight returned a strike. The world around them quaked.
Again Sunny striked.
Again the black knight striked.
Soon their punches became a blur. A barrage of shadows and darkness.
Invisible to the naked eye, their Will were in a similar bout.
Elemental Darkness, and Shadows both surged in the great hall. Responding to the wills of their rulers.
Each punch was a cataclysm. A natural disaster in each block.
The great hall trembled. The stone floor shattering. Column crumbling. Roof caving.
The Ruined Cathedral was plunged into a dark purgatory...
