Two Years After the Uchiha Massacre
At the service counter of the bike shop, a relaxed Touki watches the people passing by on the street. His appearance is the same as always, although his body has gained a good amount of muscle, the result of his varied exercise routines, which are increasingly necessary to support the constant improvements to his armor, which unfortunately continues to grow in weight.
While the man himself doesn't seem to have changed much, the shop has undergone quite a few improvements and renovations. Business has been quite good, and bicycles have become quite a popular item in the village, especially among young people, leading to the development of a much larger industry that goes beyond just selling the product. Touki himself had to open a workshop next to his shop, entirely dedicated to bicycle maintenance and repair, with new staff specially trained in the subject.
In cities, bicycles have become commonplace, largely displacing the use of horses and encouraged by authorities due to their smaller footprint on street pollution, meaning less manure to clean up. Thus, innovators have sprung up throughout the Land of Fire, copying and bringing bicycles to other nations and even to other hidden villages, especially after the introduction of the all-terrain model, which, while still unable to navigate the roughest terrain, is perfectly capable of traversing the vast majority of rural roads.
Touki still maintains a monopoly within Konoha, selling dozens of bicycles every month, encouraging competitiveness among ninjas by sponsoring races within the village, which has created a new sport, which has more and more adherents, even among the highest grade ninjas. A prominent example is a certain Might Guy, who established the "Konoha to the Capital" challenge, a crazy race that only he would have thought of and which consists of reaching the capital in less than a day. Of course, he holds the record for arriving in just 6 hours, although only if the bicycle can hold out, an excellent customer for Touki.
Karin, now nine years old, from Touki's perspective has transformed into a true inhabitant of Konoha, totally adapted to her academic life, very colorful and with many friends, even dragging Naruto into her particular group, where you see faces like Sakura, Ino, Hinata, Shikamaru, Choji, Kiba and even Sasuke sometimes.
Sasuke is one of the few serious victims of the butterfly effect that Touki was able to witness, since unlike in the original story, Itachi didn't have the time to torment him before leaving Konoha. The boy isn't so different from how he should be, but he certainly doesn't radiate the bitterness and hatred that his television counterpart displayed.
As Touki was able to find out, Sasuke does not believe much in the stories that say that Itachi is responsible for the Uchiha massacre, as he still has vague memories of his brother trying to help him against a mysterious man who captured him. Consequently, the boy, although with a rather reserved personality, at least doesn't reject the approaches of other children and participates in several of the meetings outside the academy, especially the bicycle trips organized by Karin.
Touki doesn't interfere in the children's lives, mainly because he knows someone is always watching Naruto, so he keeps a safe distance from Karin's group. But there are those who are much more involved with the bikes and constantly visit Touki's shop for advice and to buy miscellaneous items. Most notably, Ino, who loves to deck her bike out with the most distinctive decorations and tries to compete with Karin in using adorable decals.
Touki has a soft spot for the protagonists of the original story, but Ino's case is special because she's always been his favorite female character, to the point of developing a certain emotional attraction. The man can't help but pamper the child version of Ino, giving her advice on how to improve her bike and giving her stickers every time she visits the shop, something she's undoubtedly taken advantage of.
In terms of seal language development, Touki has made significant progress in previously stagnant fields. Starting with the use of combinations capable of producing something similar to a Kekkey Genkai, Touki was able to produce the first practical results.
The first Kekkey Genkai that was completed was a program capable of perfectly blending the elements of earth and fire into an explosive mixture, designed to improve the explosives Touki once used in Kusagakure, this time several orders of magnitude stronger. The tests had to be conducted in very secluded locations to avoid attracting attention.
But that wasn't all in the realm of explosives, as Touki was able to improve the program responsible for the explosion that nearly cost him his life. Through almost pure experimentation, the man managed to produce a relatively controlled collapse of a storage dimension, causing cracks in the spatial fabric without significantly affecting present reality, albeit with the disadvantage that the damage cannot exceed three meters in diameter.
But one of the strange things that Touki was able to discover by causing spatial rifts is the emanation of a kind of radiation quite similar to that caused by radioactive materials in his old world, since it causes burns with mere exposure to it for too long. Touki didn't take it very seriously at first, since the healing artifacts have been quite effective in curing any wounds and ailments caused by this phenomenon, but when he tested a caged rat in the epicenter of the area where one of the dimensional bombs was detonated, it didn't last more than an hour before dying, completely bloodied, as if its organs had collapsed from the inside.
Touki broke into a cold sweat at that moment, thinking about how close he'd come to ending up like the rat if it weren't for the energy from his healing artifacts' ability to nullify radiation. But at the same time, the man began to think about the consequences of using a weapon with such characteristics, very close to a weapon of mass destruction, immediately remembering what happened in the Uchiha district.
The man could do nothing but hope that nothing bad had happened to the radioactive waste from the explosion in Konoha, and he proceeded to collapse the ground at all the test sites he used, with the help of Izumi, who is capable of using earth jutsus. Likewise, Touki promised himself that he would never use such weapons in populated areas.
The second Kekkey Genkai that Touki managed to complete is the full version of the weapon used against Obito, the program capable of forming a kind of laser for long-range attacks. It is not a novel idea, since similar ninjutsu already exist, especially using water, but this time Touki was able to perfectly mix both fire and electricity, in the form of an extremely powerful laser, now capable of traveling hundreds of meters in fractions of a second. But the disadvantage is that there is no material that can withstand the stress of more than a few seconds of action; only adamantite is capable of withstanding about five seconds before melting, transforming the artifact into a single-use weapon.
The third Kekkey Genkai developed was the best of all, as it is an improved version of the fog-generating program, this time mixing the elements of water and wind, resulting in a fog that is very aggressive in its propagation speed and also very difficult to disperse, even with wind jutsus, being called "Blue Fog" by Touki, due to its color. The problem, as always, is the need to use the best materials to be able to produce a device capable of supporting the program, greatly limiting the practical use of this power.
Touki estimates that he will need a chakra metal alloy greater than 80% to be able to make an artifact capable of using the "Blue Mist" without breaking, something quite expensive and very difficult to obtain, even for the samurai of his organization.
It was in the medical field that Touki made the most astonishing discoveries, as he managed to isolate the precious yang element and deduce it from healing programs. The element has no direct practical use, but is a kind of extremely positive natural manifestation, which, when combined with other elements in a healing manner, has yielded the greatest medical advances Touki ever imagined he would discover.
• Yang + Earth resulted in a brown aura, extremely effective in bone repair and general bone regeneration.
• Yang + Water resulted in a dark blue aura, providing enhanced effects on organ and soft tissue healing, as well as accelerating blood production.
• Yang + Wind resulted in a white aura, capable of producing a kind of healing mist, not unlike normal healing, but with considerable range.
• Yang + Electricity resulted in a yellow aura, which has the strange effect of energizing and eliminating fatigue, although with the secondary effect of causing extreme hunger.
• Yang + Fire resulted in a pink aura, with no immediate effect, still under study, but with the apparent potential to rejuvenate the skin and eliminate scars and wrinkles.
Touki is still researching the healing applications of his discoveries, but he has managed to produce some artifacts specialized in treating specific wounds, basically instruments designed to focus the specific aura in the necessary place. These instruments have been highly valued by doctors within the samurai ranks of his organization, who are now beginning to treat them as divine artifacts as well.
