Chapter 1 - Married to the devil?!

> "Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Lu. The wedding is complete."

The priest's words thundered through the grand hall.

Su Lin's lashes fluttered open.

Everything felt… off.

The air smelled of roses and incense. Velvet carpet beneath her heels. A dazzling chandelier above. Red petals scattered like blood. And beside her—

A man.

Tall. Imposing. Dressed in an obsidian black suit that hugged his broad frame like a second skin.

Lu Ziyan.

Her heartbeat stopped.

Cold, ruthless, calculating. The man who had crushed her in her past life, step by step. The one who sent her family into ruin and watched her die without a flicker of remorse.

Her enemy.

Yet… they were holding hands. Gold rings glinting on their fingers.

She snatched her hand away, but it was too late.

The cameras clicked. Applause followed.

"Mrs. Lu, please smile for the photo," the photographer said cheerfully.

Mrs. Lu?

Her gaze darted around. Familiar yet strange faces. A luxurious wedding venue. Her best friend—no, ex-best friend—Xu Weiwei, smiling like a snake in a red bridesmaid dress. Her fake smile barely hid the jealousy in her eyes.

What the hell is going on?

Then it hit her.

I died. She remembered the pain. The fire. The betrayal. She had begged for a second chance—but this? This wasn't what she imagined.

Suddenly, a cold electronic voice echoed in her head.

> [Ding! Welcome back, Su Lin.]

[You have been reborn. Starting Point: Marriage to Lu Ziyan.]

[Main Mission: Survive. Target: Lu Ziyan.]

Her lips parted in shock.

Reborn? Married to the villain?! And a mission?

She turned to him. Lu Ziyan's jaw was sharp enough to cut glass. His eyes were dark, unreadable.

"I don't remember agreeing to this," she muttered under her breath.

He leaned in, his voice low and dangerous.

"You did. Last night. After you begged me to marry you."

Her eyes widened.

Impossible. I would rather die than marry you again.

But maybe that's exactly what had happened.

She forced herself to smile, every muscle aching.

"Of course. How could I forget such a… magical night."

He smirked. "Let's go, wife. The media's waiting."

She took his arm, her mind spinning. Think, Su Lin. You asked for a second chance. This is it. Play the game… and win it.

Her smile deepened as cameras flashed in her face.

"Fine," she whispered under her breath. "Let the game begin."
