*Ding*
The crisp sound of a bell chimes in my consciousness. While I hear the sound of fire burning in the distance and the panic yells at people.
[The host has set the pirate ship of the brown duck pirates on fire.]
[Obtained 100 chaos points for the act of chaos.]
[Obtained additional 10 chaos points for a successful escape.]
[Obtained additional 20 chaos points for committing an act of chaos undetected.]
[Current Chaos points: (1,000,000/ 999,750) till system fully unlocked.]
I almost shed tears after the notification. Ever since I have been transmigrated into the One piece world, I had been grinding points to fully unlock my useless system that does nothing except counting chaos points I gather by causing all sorts of mayhem while doing my best not to get killed or kick the bucket.
I am almost there, just another 250 points till I can fully unlock my dog crap of a system. But by the amount of chaos I have caused so far on this island I would need to grind points elsewhere to keep a low profile. All this time I have relied on nothing else but my own cunning mind and my "Jostar secret technique: run away" to make a living. Also had to be worried about the Marines not to put me on a wanted poster, which I utterly failed.
I am Samuel Iaboli, a homewrecker, arsonist, thief, part-timer, scammer and former member in the Marines. I once joined the Marines under an alias and caused some problems and had to fake my death to escape the consequences not one time, not twice but three times on different parts of the east-blue.
Ever since then I am known as Sam Aboli the Vigilante. With a bounty of 6,660,000 bellies for the various stunts I have done and the long list of people I have screwed over. At this point I am on the shit-list of both the Marines and most pirate groups on the east-blue.
As a result of me being either constantly on the run or operating under a false identity, I have become rather decently strong for someone living in the East-blue and a master of disguise. Yet I rarely engage in fights, most of the time I run the hell away from my pursuers by any means, even though I could theoretically take on a pirate crew without them having a devil fruit user. The outcome would be 50-50 by my estimation.
Since I mostly target upstart pirate crews as my victims of choice, the Marines usually don't bother actively hunting me down.
For example, just like a few minutes ago I committed arson against the brown duck pirates. Sabotage the ships of pirates, stealing from the scummy nobles, unleashing a plague on Jaya island and slipping drugs into marine supplies. All in the name of chaos and mayhem.
As for the average folks, I mostly leave them alone unless they are scum bags. Legal citizenship won't save them from me coming after them like Michael Meier on Halloween. Since I mostly commit my crimes stealthily and do my best not to be caught, I am mostly charged for minor offense throughout the East-blue. Basically a small time criminal in the eyes of the common folk and the Marines, but for pirates I'm an unseen ill omen some called me "hundred faced rookie hunter" that could be anywhere on the East-blue.
"I guess it's time to head back to logue town." I said to myself, while walking alongside the bustling Port of this island. The pirate ship in the distance is still burning like cow dung on fire. And just like moths swarming to flames, the local marine is already alerted by the burning pirate ship and the panicking pirates. Since I am currently disguised as an elderly person the Marines just ran past me without sparing me a second glance.
[logue town a few days later.]
Arriving at logue town, the birth place of the infamous Gol D Roger and the place where legends are born I was currently in a different disguise looking like a Gyaru-oh from those Japanese doujinshi's. My current identity is that of a dock worker from a merchant ship.
Walking through the bustling streets of logue town, I entered a random bar that is not too shady. Just the kind of tavern where I can overhear information and the latest gossip on upstart pirates and steal some sea stone items from smoker while I gather the last 250 chaos points. To unlock my system at the town of legends has a symbolic meaning to me.
'Finally after all these years, the era of Samuel D Iaboli shall start in loguetown and my legend shall begin. I thought to myself while keeping my ears sharp for any information the towns folks and travelers talk about.
Fishing for information is basically a waiting game. This part of my grind usually takes a few days till I get the information that I'm satisfied with. Just like picking out on sale groceries at the market, I fish for information and then cook up my act of mayhem. There is no script nor reason to the action I take. I didn't survive for all these years by being predictable.
I doubt that even Sengoku would ever deduce the next place I would show up, since my course is decided by dice rolls. Except for this time When I fully unlock my cheat, I either win it all or lose it all.
Last I checked, from the information I gathered Straw hat Luffy should be setting out on his journey in about a year or two from now at the earliest.
while listening to the casual conversations and Gossips in the bar I sipped orange juice and enjoyed its sweet and fruity flavor.
After a few hours I decided to stop for now and twirl around in the market for some actual groceries and ingredients for my next disguise. People have no idea that it's possible to simply craft a fake visage by using common material such as flower, wax, rubber and a makeup kit. If there is one benefit my system provides me other than counting my points, that would be a system inventory I possess that allows me to store things in a dimensional pocket without carrying them around. Since I have robbed several pirate crews and scummy nobles throughout the years, I don't lack money.
Casually strolling through the bustling and vibrating market place in my dock worker facade, I spotted a few Marines patrolling the market plaza like a group of gangsters guarding their turf. I thought about stalking one of them back home to where they lived, but dropped the idea since I planned to make it big and these small fries are not worth it.
While perusing the wares and produces of the various stalls, my mind began to calculate the deeds and their chaos point values.
Causing mass panic = 50~70 Cp
Destruction of property = 30~50 Cp
Murder of ten or more people = 30~40 Cp
Unusual occurrence = 10~120 Cp
Giving a plot relevant character an unpleasant experience = 20~50 Cp
After some thought I decided to stay true to my own principles. Keep the casualties low and the chaos high. As long as civilians don't drop like flies while I'm doing my thing and I can grind my points in peace, the Marines won't actively hunt me down.
[A few days later in the early morning]
*Ra! Ta! Ta! Ta!Ta! Ta! Ta!Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta!Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta!Ta! Ta!Ta! Ta! Ta!Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta!Ta!Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta!Ta! Ta! Ta!Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta!Ta! Ta!*
Before even the first citizens have woken up from their slumber, the irritating explosions of firecrackers rang through almost the entire port town waking up every citizen in a panic. Not soon later, the sound of fireworks shooting up in the sky could be heard all over loguetown mixed together with the chorus of firecrackers. It took me many hours to gather this amount of firecrackers on a daily basis.
From a hidden vantage point I watched how the half awake Marines scrambled about, trying to put out the firecrackers.

[The host has caused civil unrest in the early morning.]
[Obtained 60 chaos points for the act of chaos.]
I smiled wickedly and counted down the seconds that ticked by.
Not a second too late, the execution platform that had one been where Gol D Roger the pirate king has given his famous speech had been set up aflame. This only further drove the drowsy Marines into further panic. Watching them trying to put out the fire for a few more minutes, I stealthily made my way to my next act of mayhem. Committing arson is the quickest way to earn points.
*Ding*
The sound of the system notified me of my deed.
[The host has set fire to a historical monument of great significance.]
[Obtained 70 chaos points for the act of chaos.]
Good, now I only need 120 points. I stealthily ran through several alleyways. I am currently disguised as an average marine soldier in order to mix under the crowd of marines. As a former marine, I am intimately familiar with how the Marine operates. sneaking into their ranks is as easy as stealing the two legendary swords from that one weapon shop in loguetown. Sandai Kitetsu and Yubashiri are now stored in my system inventory.
[Line break]
Blending with the crowd of marine background characters I successfully infiltrated the Marines and had already scored another 60 points by sabotaging the plumbing systems and slipping a hallucinogenic drug into their food.
Since my firecracker stunt earlier this morning followed up by burning down the infamous execution platform of loguetown, Smoker is still out in town investigating the cause of said incident.
Which in turn gives me ample time to tamper with his stash of average quality cigars.
[A few hours or so later.]
Back in a random tavern I waited for my hard work to bear fruits. Sometime later, I heard the system notification ringing, heralding my success.

[The host has induced key character "Smoker" into a drug induced trans by mixing narcotic herbs into his cigars]
[Obtained 30 chaos points for the act of chaos.]

[The host has hidden small amounts of gunpowder in the cigar of key character "Smoker", this act caused the mentioned cigar to blow up in his face.]
[Obtained 30 chaos points for the act of chaos.]
*Ding! Ding! Ding!*
[Congratulations to Host for reaching the set quota of Chaos points: (1,000,000/ 1,000,000).]
[Host now has access to the full functions of the Mayhem system. "strive to become the king of chaos. The aeon of elation has granted you its blessing for your hard work.]
I blinked in surprise. Aeon of elation, I think I have heard about that name somewhere but can't recall where exactly.
[Host has unlocked Gacha functions.
By spending 160 Chaos points the host can pull the Gacha for a random reward. Anything pulled from the Gacha is adjusted to the function in the world the host resides in. Things pulled from the Gacha can be modified by spending chaos points to fit the host's preferences.]
