In a house in Chicago.
Third person POV.
It's Saturday night and a young man is drinking is stress away. The room he was in was dark and littered with multiple bottles of different types of alcohol, from booze and beer to whiskey and vodka. The only light in the room came from the active radio that was showing 09:00 PM.
Suddenly a message was heard from it.
- In three hours, the group ..... will start their concert at the TCF Center in Detroit. So I hope you have purchased your ticket so that you can be ready for the concert of your life.
When the message finishes being read, the inhabitant of the house starts stirring up from is hangover.
— A yes, the concert, I better get going, but I think I have the time for another drink
After drinking more, the teenager finally looked at the time.
10:00 pm, I have time for, wait 10:00 pm, I'm late!! I better get going; I don't want to miss it.
After saying that the house occupant stood up, takes his keys from the table and runs to the coat rack. He then put on his coat as he exited the building and ran in the direction of his car.
Arriving at his car, he quickly pulled up a smoke and lit it up. He then entered the vehicle and started it. After that, the car hit the road and started going in the direction of Detroit.
Moving fast down the deserted road, the car hit its top speed.
— At this speed I'm feeling so good and alive, but I'm still too slow to arrive in time.
Afterwards the radio inside the vehicle started playing his favorite song from the group.

12:00 just hit and our driver is still driving. His shoe is placated to the ground, on the acceleration pedal.
Then a light suddenly flashes his eyes and temporarily blinds him. From the other side of the road, a truck is seen approaching from the turn.
At this time the machine that our teen was driving was at full speed, making it impossible for him to turn in time.
When he regained his vision back and saw what was going to append, he did something surprising.
— HA HA HA HA HA HA HA...
He started laughing at the sight. Then say.
— I'm going to die, why?
Slam!!!
After those final words, our hero's car hit the truck. This impact wasn't able to kill him, but as he was trying to get up, his strength started leaving his body. Then he fell to the ground dead.

Second time that I wrote something on this site and so I hope you will like this small novel of mine.
Just so you know, I will publish in inconsistent intervals. Since my motivation comes and go at random.
