[[[ A few hours later in the morning ]]]
The atmosphere in the village was loud today as the men gathered to bury the bodies of their relatives and brothers.
There was deep sorrow in the air, and the streets were crowded with children, men, and a few women.
Zeus, Sorai, and Beatrix sat in the crowded and noisy tavern, where everyone was talking about Marwan's heroics and how his mecha fought against three enemy mechas and managed to destroy one of them.
At the same time, there was a lot of talk about the sudden explosion that occurred among the enemy ranks, with many speculations and imaginations, but no one really knew what happened.
Victory in this battle was something no one could have imagined… as they were all fighting with the belief that they would die defending their families and land.
Suddenly, in the midst of this heated atmosphere, the tavern door was flung open and a man burst in shouting:
_ The Union Army has arrived! The Union Army has arrived!
There was a moment of silence before everyone erupted with joy and cheers of excitement.
There was a spark of revenge in the eyes of many who had lost someone dear to them in this battle.
Fighters began to gather outside the village to join the Union Army in fighting against the gang that had terrorized the region for years.
(Sorai): Well, this is both bad and good at the same time.
(Beatrix): What are you thinking?
_ No one from the Union must see us… especially you, Zeus. If they find out you're alive, you'll be questioned for not reporting your survival and could be charged with faking your death… it's a bit complicated, just don't show yourselves.
(Zeus Pixel): Alright… whatever… this reminds me—Marwan is also a wanted fugitive, right?
(Sorai): He'll be hiding somewhere… let's go to his friend's workshop, we might find him there… You know what, go ahead, I'll check out the Union forces they sent.
Indeed, Sorai split off from Zeus and Beatrix, and each team went its own way.
Half an hour later, they all reunited with Marwan at the workshop.
(Marwan): So?
(Sorai): Congratulations… The Union has sent a lieutenant colonel leading a battalion of 600 soldiers, with enough armored vehicles and trucks, ten combat robots, and also guess what?
(Zeus): How many?
(Sorai, smiling): Six mechas… two humanoid class and four hybrids… They can easily overpower the enemy forces.
(Beatrix): Finally, the problem is solved.
(Marwan): Nothing is solved… unless we rescue the prisoners, none of this means anything… I'll join the Union forces.
(Sorai): They'll arrest you, man.
(Marwan): I'll follow from a distance… I know the enemy base… I can find the prisoners before they do and get them out.
(Zeus): I'll go with you, this sounds exciting.
(Sorai, smiling lightly): I guess I have no choice but to join then… will you join us, Beatrix?
_ You don't expect me to stay here alone, do you?
Marwan smiled at seeing this trio and their bond, and it reminded him of his own friends, whereupon his smile gradually faded and sorrow grew in his heart.

1. Military Ranks: From Lowest to Highest
To understand relationships between officers (authority, obedience, internal conflict), it's important to know who commands whom:
Lieutenant / First Lieutenant: In training or just starting out. Often rising heroes.
Captain / Major: Field leaders, face decision-making struggles and pressure.
Lieutenant Colonel / Colonel: Mid-tier, handle complex operations, often torn between loyalty to the system or their own vision.
Brigadier / Major General / General: Strategic decision-makers.
2. Military Formations: To grasp the scope of events
Using these formations defines the scale of military scenes:
Platoon (30–40 soldiers): Local skirmish – small rebellion, infiltration.
Company (100–150 soldiers): Partial battle – site assault or defense.
Battalion (300–800): Medium-scale conflict – control of a region or city.
Brigade (2,000–4,000): Major battle – beginning of war between two fronts.
Corps: All-out war – invasion, coup, or decisive battle.
---
The Union has Special Task Forces, each with the strength of a full brigade under a Colonel's command. Members of the Secret Division are a special case—they are not considered standard soldiers and hold officer ranks starting from Lieutenant and capped at Major, who is the highest field commander rank.
The next ranks begin from Lieutenant Colonel, who is a strategic commander. Being a good soldier or platoon leader isn't enough to manage operations at this scale—it requires different expertise beyond mere combat skill.

---------‐---------------------------------------------------/
The difference between the sides was clear, not to mention Zeus and the others, and the villagers who would fight alongside the Union.
The army lined up its formation and prepared to move after conducting an initial investigation into the battle that had occurred a few hours earlier.
At the heart of the temporary camp stood Lieutenant Colonel Murad, a man in his forties with a long beard, short hair, a slightly lean build, and a sharp, stern personality. He didn't seem weak in any way.
Murad gathered the field commanders under his command, and they were discussing the assault plan.
(Lt. Colonel Murad): Is everything clear?
(One of the commanders): What about the village militia? They want to join us.
(Murad, annoyed): I can't allow that. We have one plan and one operation to carry out with precision—they'll only hinder us… Speak to their leader and tell him if I see anyone following us, we'll shoot on sight.
_ Yes, sir.
....
(One hour later / 11 AM)
As Marwan, Zeus, and the others were preparing to leave in front of the repair workshop, Marwan saw over 40 men from the village approaching with their weapons.
Marwan and Sorai exchanged looks, and Zeus immediately loaded his weapon, but Marwan motioned with his hand to calm down, signaling there was no danger.
Marwan met the men a bit away from Zeus's group and spoke with them for a while. When he returned, he explained the situation.
(Marwan): The army refused to let them join… they want to come with me and are insistent on fighting.
(Sorai): This is completely outside the plan… but there was a big chance the plan would fail anyway… let's do it. Tell them to get ready… also, you'll lead them—I'm not placing that many lives on my shoulders.

Due to energy consumption during movement, combat robots are transported via large trucks or sometimes by cargo aircraft.
One of the main differences between combat robots and mechas is the energy system—mechas have far greater energy reserves and more efficient consumption systems. For this and other reasons, mechas are far more complex and costly to manufacture, with each being relatively unique and not mass-produced in factories.
