"Princess!"
"Princess!"
"Gosh! My head feels like it's going to break. Can you keep your mouth shut for a bit?" Ash speaks as she struggles her way out of the bed while holding her aching head. She felt pain all over her body. This was probably the worst waking-up scenario she ever had, well, just trying to explain her feelings more elaborately.
"Princess? Are you okay?" Jane, a maid, stated in panic. She tried to stabilize Ash as she got off her bed.
Ash just can't open her eyes because of dizziness. Ash even cursed the drink she had and swore that she wouldn't even drink because it felt like it was breaking her head. Perhaps a prize for a quick loss of pain.
"Ha! Ha! Princess? Jean, why do I feel like you seem to be more gentle... wait..." Ash opened her eyes, trying to figure out what the weird thing that was happening was. Ash felt like she was dreaming, so she pinched her hand so hard.
"Ooooooouuuccchhh!" Ash shouted in pain and looked very pitiful as she stared at her reddish hand. She was not dreaming, and she was out of nowhere.
As soon as Ash discovered something was really wrong, she then shouted in shock and looked at her surroundings as if a lost child.
"Where the heck am I?"
"Princess? Did you lose your mind? Should I ask for a doctor?"
Ash tried to compose herself and familiarize herself with her surroundings. She is in the middle of a huge sparkling bed with a long silky dress.
She looked at Jane and was very shocked. She is the famous maid in her story that has a mole in her neck, a tiny one, but it is eye-catching since it is a perfect heart shape. She did everything for a princess, causing her death.
How could she ever forget the details of her story? She was still astonished, but she was a person who respected every belief and didn't dare say things didn't exist. Jane is the most loyal servant of her book, and she deliberately put a resemblance to her real-life best friend, Jean.
Ash tried to close her eyes and looked for a mirror. Well, it is real. She looked Jane in the eye and was totally amazed at how similar she is to Jean, but somehow different is their aura, as Jean tends to be a powerful woman, yet Jane is so delicate and innocent, but they have one thing in common: they are sincere when looking at Ash.
Ash can't stop looking at Jane. She couldn't find any reason behind what is happening to her, but at least she has Jane, someone who she can trust, but she is sorry because she wrote that she died in her book. Ash secretly vowed to herself that she would protect Jane this time and wouldn't make her sacrifice her life.
She will give her the freedom to choose her life after she fixes things. She is sorry because she still needs her and won't make her leave her side because so far she is the only person she believes in and has a bit of familiarity with in this book she created.
"Princess, are you okay? What is happening to you? I am sorry. I didn't take care of you."
Jane started crying, but Ash seemed to be occupied and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked like herself, but a hint of royalty could be seen through her.
The brave princess.
The tears of Jane make everything real, and she mentally accepted everything.
"Is this for real? Did I just enter in my book?" Ash tries to ask herself, but actually she is just stating a fact.
Ash laughed maniacally and stared at Jane for a minute. She tried to comfort her while smiling like an idiot. Jane is technically Jean, so she hates it when her best friend is crying. Even if they are not totally the same, their fate is more likely fated.
"Jane, you are actually very beautiful." Jane is a woman that is beautiful and someone a man wants to protect, which she is amused by as she imagines Jean in such an attitude.
Jane blushed as she was like a tiny girl who never received a compliment. She felt awkward and happy at the same time. Jane was not close with the princess, but they have a good relationship, though she finds the princess a little bit different, but she is liking the changes.
"Princess, don't tease me." Jane tried to cover her face and hide from Ash.
"Hahaha!"
Jane found her princess very happy for the first time, so she was just watching her.
"So, tell me what happened. Why did I pass out?"
Jane immediately gets angry.
"Princess, that Consort Victoria is really evil. She tried to hook you up with that crazy First Young Master of the Lincoln. She drugged your drink, but thankfully the First Prince rescued you and put Consort Victoria in jail. The king is very mad, as he sentenced her to death in public with poison."
Ash nodded. She seemed to remember this scene in her book. The Consort Victoria hated her to the core, so she tried to scheme against her, but she didn't succeed and just died. The king's madness shows how he loved his princess, the only daughter her queen left behind.
The king adored her so much that he just agreed to whatever she wanted. Just a little bit of pain that the princess can inflict can make the king so mad. Almost everyone knows this in the country. The princess is only second to the king.
The princess is actually quite intelligent and talented but super stubborn in something that she likes or wants. Maybe the attitude was taken when everything around her bowed down to her and everything she wanted was just being given to her just because she is the princess born by the queen, who is the greatest love of the king.
"Oh!"
Jane was stunned because of Ash's expression. The princess that she knows will be angry if ever someone schemes against her. She is kind but terribly hateful when someone does something against her. She will just probably seek the King's presence and complain to make herself better. She will use it to make requests for her father.
The person in front of her seemed to be composed and actually very happy, which made Jane raise her eyebrows, but she just kept her mouth shut. There are certain doubts coming into her mind, but just try to ignore them. Jane was not only loyal, but she was also intelligent, as she was a maid left and trained by the queen to be of help for the princess.
"The king has arrived!"
The place was instantly filled with sounds of footsteps.
King Philip is rushing towards Ash, followed by his servants and guards.
"Amishta! Are you okay? I already avenged you. Don't be angry, okay?"
"Father?" Ash becomes emotional, as this character resembles her real dad, who died because of cancer. Amishta is actually just a small character in her book, but she is one of the characters who tries to express every emotion she has. Whatever she wants in life, in the end, she doesn't have a good ending, thus resulting in the character Amishta dying in her book.
King Philip instantly felt guilty as he thought that he hadn't protected his princess well, which made her suffer. He hugged her and comforted her as much as he could.
"Princess, don't worry. This will never happen again. I will have more guards following you around, and I will make..." Ash cut his father's words by breaking the hug.
"Father, I am fine. I just thought that having a father like you makes me so blessed in this world."
King Philip was taken aback but felt like his princess was just making him happy.
"Princess, you will always be my lucky charm. The day you were born was the best thing that happened to me and your mother."
The father and daughter engage themselves in a happy conversation, completely disregarding what just happened.
The night came so fast, and King Philip returned to his room, leaving Ash in deep thought.
"I died and suddenly entered my book."
"Maybe this is a given chance for me to live a life that I wanted. At least I have my dad here. I will do my best to save this country from destruction. Gosh! I just hate writing that my dad will die. No! I will remake my own novel with my real intention."
"This life, I will choose to be with you. I will make sure to be with you even if I will compete with my protagonist character. I will make sure that you are not going to end up together. You and I can only be together. Please, wait for me."
"From now on, there will be no Ash anymore. I am already Princess Amishta, the only princess of the Abberhyn Kingdom."
Amishta smirked and closed her eyes.
