Elaine's POV
Waking up at the exact spot where I woke up from when Luca took me with him. I tried to break free with all the strength I had in me, but all my efforts simply looked like pouring water on a rock.
"Nothing here is the same as outside, Elaine, so you can give up already and be sure that there's no escaping from this." Luca's voice echoed from behind me.
"What do you want this time?" I asked while still trying to break free.
"Nothing much. It's always you that I'm interested in, and you know it, right?"
"Burn in hell!" I spat, but he only smiled.
"The plan is actually to drag you anywhere with me so you could rule by my side, you see, and if you choose hell as a dwelling place, I am very much not against making it a home for you, love."
"You only care about yourself and the madness in your head. You just keep being snitchy because you're on someone's side today and tomorrow you're on another person's side. You can't be wanting to have me with such a crazy behavioral pattern that stems from you!"
"Oh, true. Think of it this way then. I'm on nobody's side, and at the same time, I'm on the side of those who can give me what I want. Speaking of which, I think I've had enough of the talking. Now it's time for what I want," he smirked, unbuckling his belt.
"Please, Luca. Don't do this to me, I beg you," I rushed to plead, genuinely not wanting any form of intimacy right now.
"We agreed that this is about what I want, right?" He smirked, walking quietly to tilt his head close to my ear. "You let Kai mark you after I broke off Damien's, and we can break that silly bond you created with the wasted beast, Kai."
"Stop," I begged.
"Don't you think so?"
"Luca, I beg you, please stop," I went on pleading because I had no better plan or thing to do. He clearly overpowered me thanks to his masculine strength and magic. However, I couldn't stop begging either.
"Breaking a bond can be very painful, and I hope you thought about that before agreeing to it," his tone became dead serious this time. He whispered a few words softly, and as he kept going, his tone became a lot harsher. Something burned in my chest, and as much as I was determined not to give him the satisfaction he was looking for, I couldn't help but let out a painful scream.
Did he stop? No, he kept on chanting the words in a strange language, taking me through various phases of pain until I almost felt numb. I watched as he approached me with a knife, making a small incision on my wrist.
What he needed my blood for was what I wasn't sure of… maybe it was a ritual to break the bond between me and Kai, and I wouldn't lie, the pain was something I had never imagined it to be, not even in the slightest way.
He came back to me after a while with his body completely bare.
"It's time for the next round, Elaine," he smirked. "Now spread your legs for me."
Even after he asked, he didn't ask for permission before doing what he wanted to do. I wouldn't say that he had sex with me when everything about it was violent to the core, leaving me wounded and bleeding afterward. He brutally raped me, and it went on until the third day.
"I wouldn't think that you have gotten used to the pain already, Elaine, but that only proves that you're a lot stronger than I presumed," he murmured to himself.
"Why are you doing this, Luca?" I asked the dumbest question I've ever asked him for the one-millionth time.
"Because I want you, and now that the ritual is complete and the bond between you two is finally broken, I can focus on keeping every other obstacle out of the way. And until I'm done, I'd advise you to stay loyal to me."
"Does it matter to you that I don't even care about your existence, let alone wanting you at least half the way you want me?" I asked him flatly from my weak breath.
"It doesn't matter, because all I need to do is to make you mine first, and gradually I'd make your heart sync with the desires of mine. You'd love me back," he said with every assurance he had, making me chuckle weakly.
"Not even Damien would let that happen, how much more Kai? They would do all they can until you're driven off the surface of the earth, and trust me, I'd be repaying you for the experience you've given me in these past days."
"Hopefully, we'd see about that when the time comes. For now, just be a good girl, and I'd take it easy on you," he whispered naughtily, licking the side length of my neck.
He did all the things he knew as foreplay just to get a reaction out of me, but he failed miserably. Frustrated, he pulled out a drawer revealing various toys and oil. One he clamped against my nipple, vibrating them in a very intoxicating way.
"Now all you owe me is that tiny voice of yours," he lowered his voice while bringing a vibrator close to my clit. He pushed his fingers inside my pussy until he happened to be fisting me with a wild pace while his other hand held the vibrator in place.
There was absolutely no need for him to bother about keeping me still because of how tied up I was. However, it was against my wish, but I did scream when he took me beyond the edge. Thankfully, he hadn't come to check up on me the next day. Probably because he was done with the ritual, and he had successfully broken the bond between me and Kai. At that moment, I wondered if Kai went through the same kind of pain I felt. I wondered if Damien or Cordelia was close to him to help him through it, even though I wished we could have gotten through it together.
It didn't matter now, though, especially when the deed had already been done. My mind slowly drifted to Luca, recalling that it was almost dark and I hadn't seen him yet—not for him but for the benefit of the things I saw him do from where I was. Most of the time, he'd think I was sleeping and do certain things where I would clearly see him.
"Hello, Elaine," he greeted me from behind, making me snap my head in his direction.
His whole attire, including the dark-colored cloak, triggered a memory I was trying to make clear in my head. He smiled at me, sensing what I was trying to do.
"I've seen this somewhere," I muttered to myself, but he was able to hear me.
"Of course you have, and if you need help, I'll remind you freely," he smirked, making me gasp.
"The cult."
"Exactly, Elaine. You remembered right," he chuckled even louder, somehow proving me right even though he had not admitted it to me yet. How the hell did I not see this coming?
I put the whole pieces together, and it only made more sense why that night wasn't a coincidence. He was already a member of the cult for him to execute while the others were executing theirs. Was he that desperate and determined to bring Kai down, or was he looking for something else?
"You could have done better than to hide in the shadows, Luca," I spat in disgust at the monster he was turning himself into every passing day.
"Some surprises are better off delayed if you understand what I mean. Plus, what would have been the fun if I had just announced that I was now a member of the cult seeking Kai's destruction desperately, just the same way they—"
"This can't be entirely about Kai, is it?" I questioned after taking sceptical view of what he was doing.
"You're right. It's a quest for utmost power even above the cult, after which I'd eliminate the final obstacles and rule with you by my side while everyone else remains under the will of my power," he admitted firmly. "And joining the cult is merely one of the nearest routes to my wild ambitions," he smirked.
"You are insane, Luca."
"Absolutely."
With that, he left, leaving me in awe of the scary revelation and the firm determination in his eyes when he spoke. Luca was going particularly about what he wanted, which was scary because he was putting everything he had into emerging successful.
