There was crowd everywhere and people were busy on their own. But it was nothing sort of a high tech city, though everyone had gadgets with them or even humanoid robots as their valets or chauffeurs but the place looked akin to a open bazaar where people were bargaining to get something in cheap price from the vendors, the vendors were counter offering the prices for which the customer had asked the item for. All in all the atmosphere was lively and warm and the setting sun was just the cherry on top making the atmosphere even more beautiful.
Though there was a noisy atmosphere but the vibe was tranquil. Now the security personnel led them to his office. His office had cool vibe to it and was a mixture of ancient and modern. The style of architecture was modern but the sitting arrangements and other things like painting and other decorative items were a bit antique. There was a platform at the side of his desk which was to register a person's identity and it was also a way to determine someone's identity. His name was Naval Myon. He was an officer of the batch from the *Imperial Year 8030*. Now was the year 8100, so 70 years have passed and for the last 40 years he was a security officer in this gate of the wall. He would oversee the Academy Assessment Entrance for Kian.
The man asked" Sir when would you like your ward to be assessed? There are still 2 slots available for today."
"No we would like to schedule our assessments for tommorow morning." replied Rafael.
"Even that is feasible. I will book you in the first slot of morning."
Rafael looked towards Kian.
"Fine by me."said the little one.
"Okay then. It would cost you around 20 Imperial Silver Coins. And with the Assessments Admission Token you will get a Temporary Identity Card and some other basic manuals as well as an interactive city map. Now please authenticate yourself in this portal to let the server know that you have officially entered the Nara Province and also register the child's identity." Upon saying all this the officer motioned Kian to go to the platform and asked Rafael to put his identity token on a device before him. To which they both complied. As soon as he put the device he was authenticated.
Rafael had already taken a seat and was watching the registration because he knew what would happen once the officer would confirm the identity of Kian. He was amused and he laughed evilly because he thought it might give the tough officer the scare of his life. The officer asked Kian "Are you ready?"
To which Kian nodded.
"Don't be nervous okay. Nothing will happen to you." said the officer.
"Well something will definitely happen to you, you dumbass." While thinking this, his faced had an extremely evil smile like he was some kind of an evil lord who found satisfaction on torturing prisoners.
Well the identity assessment began. The way of identification through this platform was very simple. This platform would collect the DNA of Kian and send it to the main server where the DNA sample of every human being is collected through such Identification Portals. Now how are they collected? Well every human was compelled to take the assessment test as the empire didn't want to miss any potential human who would benefit the empire and the human race. So it was mandatory for a child of age between 10 to 12 years to take the Academy Assessment Entrance and anyone failing to comply would be punished but that kind of scenario has never happened because everyone wanted to get into the Academy as it would change their life once they got in.
So once the DNA sample reached the main server, an advanced AGI would collect it and match with all the previous data the servers had. Once the search of the match is completed the database would show the closest relatives of Kian(in this case) according to the DNA sample provided; now the closest ones are always the biological parents, so Kian would have Avian and Anaya. And these two people were already registered here several decades ago when they came for the assessment so the AGI had data and would know. Okay the closest relatives of the person on the platform would be these two so it would assign it's parents based on the gender of the closest relatives. It would also know whose children are these two people again based on the database in the server similarly this chain would go on and on and at last they would figure the person's lineage also.
Now one may think that all these would be a long process but it happened in seconds and a holographic projection came out from the officer's computer. It had the details like this:

MOTHER'S NAME: ANAYA SUMAK
FATHER'S NAME: AVIAN ALVAREZ
LINEAGE: ALVAREZ FAMILY
CULTIVATION: BODY METAMORPHOSIS 1ST RANK

It basically told the officer that accessing this file was way above his pay grade.
This was it and it was enough for the officer's mind to go blank. He was so shocked because it did not even occur to him that he would once have a chance to conduct an assessment to a member of Alvarez Family. He was so shocked that he forgot to say anything as he was dazed while looking at the hologram.
Then Kian voiced " Officer is the identity assessment complete."
"Yes yes complete complete absolutely complete." He lost all his demeanor infront of a kid not because he was weak, he was far from anything called weak but because of the kid's identity which would make any person go crazy let alone him a mere security officer. The name 'Alvarez' was not for show. It was backed by real strength. Though Kian was suspicious what had happened to the officer that he suddenly lost his demeanor because just a while ago he was so calm and composed. But when he looked at the officer he could tell that his reaction was not out of insanity but out of shock but it didn't bothered him much.He just thought " I think this man has gone crazy but why do I care now that my identity assessment has completed I would go around the city with Grandpa Rafael."
Rafael the perpetrator of this fiasco was leaning on the couch and enjoying the shock and surprise he had seen in officer's face. But the officer was cursing the old man in his mind " You old coot could've told me earlier with what am I dealing, but you kept your mouth shut withholding the information. But I think this is a very rare opportunity for me." But Rafael couldn't be bothered with all this as he had an half evil laugh mocking at the situation of the officer.
The assessment being completed and Kian's identity confirmed the officer stood up with a ring in his hand and gave the ring to Kian which he happily accepted. He didn't immediately searched the ring. The officer escorted the duo out and returned to his office reminiscing of all that happened a while ago. He went into deep contemplation as he was curious about the kid but more importantly he was curious about his parents because they were once a force to be reckoned and suddenly disappeared and now resurfaced again. To him it was still unclear if Kian's parents were dead or alive but he swore to protect the kid because he had a debt to pay.
Now that the identity assessment was over they both wanted to try some food here. Rafael was not new here because he frequented to Academy a lot under the family orders. So he was aware of most of the things but still it wouldn't hurt to see the new things that came up after he stopped visiting here.
First they wanted to book a hotel and it was very easy because a few blocks away there was a high end hotel names 'Athana Palace'.
The duo went inside and the interior screamed of luxury just by looking at it. Perhaps only Rafael knew about the luxury of this hotel but he didn't care in slightest and Kian had no idea that everything he saw was very very expensive all these things. They got a room for 10 Imperial Gold Coins which was cheap according to Rafael. If someone heard that amount was nothing but cheap in Rafael's eyes that person would die of heart attack.
They got the keys to the room and were escorted by an attendant. They saw inside the room and Kian was flabbergasted as he had never seen so much opulence. He looked each and every room as he was very curious about all these things and he was experiencing all of these things first hand.
After they finished freshening up both of them headed out of their hotel and went to a stroll. The duo were by walking by a lane and Kian suddenly asked" Grandpa Rafael why is that security personnel so much shocked after seeing my information and he even got me a permanent identity card but without even passing the assessment test it won't have any meaning right." Rafael paused for second and said with a smile " Young Master maybe he wanted to make friends with you or maybe he saw a great potential in you, a future ally or something more which I can't be specific as I have no precise idea."
"And why would that be please pray tell." His eyes squinted as he looked at Rafael.
Seeing this Rafael was panicked for one hundredth of a second which was impossible track at Kian's level, but he didn't falter and smiled and said" Young Master there are somethings that you and only you are required to find out. Me telling you won't do it, not because I don't want to tell but because you are to find that on your own and only then it would hold meaning to you otherwise it would only hold hatred and pain."
Kian though a kid was internally very mature and he understood that his life was not that simple and the future would be very very unpredictable, but where was the fun if he knew everything that would happen to him right at the beginning. After mulling over a little in his thoughts he asked again" Do my parents come from a powerful background?"
Rafael was a little shocked at how sharp Kian was but he didn't show it and just nodded.
"Okay now tell me about this Nara Province and The Arban Academy."
"What do you want to know about Nara Province and The Academy?" asked Rafael amused at his serious expression.
"Everything that is there to know about, I want everything to know." replied Kian.
