Chapter 78 : Love Accepted
It had been almost a month since Gevran and Seol-Vi grew closer. They joined inter-university programs, had lunch together, worked on group projects, and even shared late-night laughter in the library. Seol-Vi realized her feelings were changing. It was no longer just admiration like before when she watched Gevran from afar. This was love. Pure, simple, and growing every day.
On the other hand, Gevran felt the same. He, who was usually confident and focused on big ambitions, now got nervous just imagining Seol-Vi's smile. He decided to be honest. Love had to be fought for.
Without hesitation, Gevran called his close friends in G-Force. "I need your help. I want to confess to Seol-Vi. Today. In the campus hall after afternoon class."
G-Force paused for a moment before laughing—not mockingly, but because they knew it would be a big moment. They moved quickly. Yong handled the flower decorations. Jiwan hired a professional violinist for a high price. Eunwoo arranged the lighting and documentation, while Haesung spread the invitation to all students.
At 4 PM, the campus hall was packed with students. The atmosphere was full of anticipation and whispers. Some even went live on social media.
With sweaty hands and a pounding heart, Gevran gently blindfolded Seol-Vi. "Come with me for a bit," he whispered.
Seol-Vi followed, confused. When they reached the center of the hall, violin music began to play. When the blindfold was removed, Seol-Vi was stunned. Flowers everywhere. Soft lights hanging from the ceiling. And hundreds of eyes watching them.
Gevran took a deep breath. "Seol-Vi, I... like you. Not because you're beautiful or smart, but because you are you. Will you be my girlfriend?"
A brief silence. Then Seol-Vi smiled, eyes glistening. "I've liked you for a long time, too. Yes. I will."
Cheers erupted. Applause, whistles, even playful teasing from their friends. G-Force cheered the loudest.
After things calmed down, Gevran held Seol-Vi's hand. "Let me take you home."
He called his mother. "Mom, I have a girlfriend. Send the driver and car. I want to take her home."
His mother laughed on the other end. "Finally! You're thinking about girls now! Alright, I'll send the best."
That night, they had dinner at Seol-Vi's house. Her father, surprisingly, was the Chief Justice and welcomed Gevran warmly. "I used to be a big fan of yours during the bullying case. We've met before, remember?"
Gevran was surprised, then laughed. "Now I understand where Seol-Vi got her sense of justice."
The next day, G-Force swarmed Gevran on campus.
"Dude, we went viral!"
"The whole campus is talking about you and Seol-Vi."
"You guys are the power couple now!"
Gevran could only laugh as he wrapped his arm around a blushing Seol-Vi. The world felt more beautiful when love was accepted.
