Chapter 50 – The War Starts with Lunch
It looked like a normal day—the sun was shining, students walking by, and Gevran sitting in the cafeteria with a plate of bulgogi.
But everything changed the moment Cain Seo-Jun walked in like a K-drama actor intentionally seeking a slow-motion entrance.
Cain made his way toward Gevran with a smile and sat down uninvited.
"Wow, even the ex-mayor's son eats budget meals, huh?"
The entire cafeteria fell silent.
Gevran turned to him. "Why? You want a taste? I can order for you if you're low on allowance."
A few students held back their laughter. But Cain simply smiled—a sharp, irritating smirk.
"Your dad seems like a good man… too bad history isn't so clean," Cain said quietly, sliding over an old newspaper clipping.
The headline read:
> "Secret Political Negotiation Scandal During 2003 Economic Crisis"
Mi Yong, sitting across the table, immediately stood up. "You're really playing dirty, Seo-Jun?"
Choi Eunwoo stood too—mostly because Mi Yong's camera angle was pointing at him. "I'm down to duel… as long as the lighting's right."
Haesung held Gevran back, who looked like he was about to snap.
"Not here," he said softly. "If we get provoked now, we've already lost."
Cain stood, leaving the newspaper on the table.
"If you're strong, Gevran, prove it. But don't be surprised when every door starts closing on you… and your family."

Later that night – G-Force HQ (Mi Yong's café basement)
The team gathered under heavy tension. Mi Yong started researching the article Cain brought. Haesung contacted people from his family's law firm. Jiwan began digging for loopholes in defamation law. And Eunwoo… was busy preparing a clarification video, just in case.
Gevran sat in silence.
"My dad's an honest man. But politics… the dirt can take years to surface. If Cain exposes everything, Seoul won't just learn about my dad's past… but about theirs too."
Suddenly, Jiwan exclaimed, "I've got it! Let's throw the biggest campus party ever. Invite every gang, every major, all the seniors! We'll make G-Force untouchable in the eyes of the student body. Show them who really runs Seoul University now."
Mi Yong lit up, "I can handle the venue and sponsors. My family owns a TV station—we can broadcast it live!"
Haesung nodded. "If we're playing the public game, we need the crowd. And throwing a party is the most Korean way to start a reputation war."
Eunwoo added, "Plus, I can debut my new single at the event. Bonus exposure for all of us!"
Gevran smiled.
"Then let's do it. G-Force won't fight with slander… but with a stage. Let the entire campus see who truly deserves to stand at the top."
