Chapter 29 - 29

Chapter 29: The Leak That Shook Everything

Morning – Student Council Office, Daehan International School

The room was silent as Gevran revealed the file handed over by White Owl. Inside it—secret meeting recordings, suspicious fund transfers, and shadow contracts between the school and a foreign consulting firm.

Han Jimin stared at the screen, jaw clenched. "If this leaks… it could shake the entire system."

"Not just Daehan," Rhea added. "But every international school using joint-curriculum systems. This... is massive."

Min Soojin hesitated. "Are we ready to carry all this?"

Gevran looked each of them in the eye. "We're not just students anymore. We're the first generation who must choose: stay silent... or break the chain."

---

Afternoon – Internal Broadcast Room

Through a special school broadcast system, Gevran delivered an official statement as Student Council President.

> "Today, we face more than academic tests. We face a test of courage and conscience."

> "We will release crucial information to the media and educational bodies—so that no student is ever sacrificed by a shadow system again."

The atmosphere across the campus shifted instantly. Whispers spread like wildfire, and several senior teachers began to panic.

---

Evening – Principal's Office

Gevran sat across from Principal Yoo, whose expression was grim but not surprised.

"So you're really going to leak everything?"

"Not leak, sir. I'm simply letting the truth be seen."

Yoo took a deep breath. "Then I hope you're ready for the consequences."

---

Night – Online Trends Exploding

Hashtags #DaehanLeaks, #BornToRise, and #SchoolReform shot to the top of trending lists on social media. Thousands of comments poured in—from alumni, educational activists, even celebrities voicing their support for transparency.

Meanwhile, waves of bot accounts launched smear campaigns against Gevran. Threats emerged. But so did… a growing wave of support.

Han Jimin held Gevran's hand as they stared at the screen together.

> "You're not just the student council president now, Gevran. You're a symbol of change."

---

> Real change doesn't come from comfort and safety.

It comes from wounds, pressure, and hard choices.

And in the eye of that storm… one student stood tall.

His name: Gevran Yi Jido.

---

Late Night – Yi Household, Rooftop

The city buzzed below like a restless beast. Gevran stood alone under the starlit sky, his phone glowing with constant pings—messages from media, politicians, school boards, and even strangers.

His mother, Yi-Ana, stepped beside him, holding a steaming cup of ginger tea.

"You used to be so small," she whispered. "And now… the world is watching you."

Gevran smiled faintly. "I just wanted to fight bullies. Never thought the bullies wore suits."

Yi-Ana looked at her son, proud but worried. "Promise me one thing, Gevran. When this storm grows… don't lose yourself in it."

He didn't answer immediately. Then:

> "Even if I get torn apart, I'll make sure the next kid never has to live what I did."

Yi-Ana blinked back tears. "Then… rise higher, my son."

---

Next Morning – Press Conference Outside School Gates

The press had swarmed the entrance. Dozens of microphones pointed at the newly-formed Daehan Transparency Initiative, led by the student council and Gevran.

Behind him stood Han Jimin, Rhea, Kaeyan, Min Soojin, and even some teachers brave enough to step forward.

Reporters shouted questions.

"Are you accusing the Ministry of Education?"

"Is this coordinated with political parties?"

Gevran raised his hand—and silence followed.

> "This is not political. This is personal.

Because we are the ones who sit in those classrooms.

And we refuse to be pawns in a corrupt game."

> "Let this be a warning: The age of silence is over."

Applause erupted—some real, some hesitant. But something had begun. Something irreversible.

---

Somewhere Else – Secret Meeting Room

Cain Seo-Jun slammed his phone down, eyes cold as ice.

> "He moved too early. But he's forcing our hand."

Next to him, a senior official muttered, "If we let him continue, the entire joint-education system will unravel."

Cain stood, fixing his blazer.

> "Then it's time I return to Daehan."

He turned to the shadowed figures behind him.

> "Let's remind Gevran what it means… to challenge the architects of the system."

---

Final Scene – Student Council Room, That Night

Alone again, Gevran pulled out a thick dossier—labeled:

> "Phase Two: The Architects"

It contained a list of names, affiliations, and hidden agendas—evidence collected by White Owl over years.

Kaeyan entered quietly, tossing a soda can on the desk. "You planning to take on the entire system?"

Gevran looked up, dead serious.

> "No, Kaeyan.

I'm planning to burn it down… and build something better."
