Flashback
I screamed and cried my innocent heart out, calling my parents to come back to me, why did they leave without saying goodbye to me I thought. I was young then and didn't really know anything about life. Suddenly my aunt dragged me out of the cemetery.
She hailed a cabđźš—đźš—and forced me to get into the cabđźš— and I did.Then I remembered I had a little brother. I forced myself to ask my aunt where he was. "Aunt please where is my little brother" I softly asked. "Shut up!!! you swine, if you want to see your baby brother then shut up"she directly replied to me. After hearing that from her I then knew what an evil stepmother literally meant of. I thought all those stories where just tales and all but no way will I ever forgive my aunt . After what felt like hours. We reached my mansion which my parents built in my name.
I knew this because my parents told me. I had high Iq so my parents started to teach me a lot at a very young age.It really helped me but worth all these I was always bullied by my classmates. I was the youngest and the favourite of all the teachers so yeah you get it, life was hell and heaven I didn't have any friends but I had my parents.
When we reached my house I planned to go to my room
but then my aunt pulled me back and then called for a meeting.
All the staffs in the house were summoned. I thought she was going to say something sensible. I didn't know that what she was going to say would turn my world upside down. She told the butler to send only my clothes and other things he found useful for me to my new room.
And that her daughter was going to sleep in my room on my bed. Above all the neatly furnished rooms why my room a room that has all the nostalgic memories I had with I and my father and mother."You would be sleeping in the basement for the rest of my new horrible life "my aunt told me. I would be cleaning and doing all the household chores and as for schooling she didn't say anything about it. In school or not, if she took all the luxury and didn't take my life it would be worth it.
"From now onwards behold I will be the queen of this house as I know you all have heard of the demise of your former master and mrs,I rule now so no one should therefore defoe my order,you may leave now". "But aunt since we got here I have been asking for my little brother but you haven't told me where he is yet" said Maraian. "You need not worry because he is already in good hands just do as I say then you brother will be just fine "said Aunt Sylvia menacingly "I will do anything you say aunt" said Maraian
"I want you to clean the whole house every Saturday and anyone I said anyone who helps her would be given 20 lashes, you will then do anything the twins tell you to do now go to your room Maraian and you will start with your job tomorrow" Yes aunty "I said
Maraian's Pov
When I reached my room, what I formally called the basement. I was lucky I wasn't allergic to dust but I still had to clean it. It took almost three hours to finish everything. It didn't turn out the way i wanted it to be though but I couldn't ask for more. I had to pull through all these I sighed. Then I heard angry voices I remembered aunt talking about her children but I ignored them. I started checking if there was any backup room. When i touched our family picture that was in the basement. I pressed something then a key hole appeared in the middle of the picture.
Then I removed the necklace my dad gave to me for any emergency. He didn't explain it to me but he just said it was just a present. I took a torch near by and pushed the lock. It then open and showed a door.I unlocked it with the key and walked in. What I saw shocked me, My parents were the best I could ever have. It was a nice room with a study table, a long shelf full of books, a new iPad, and laptop. I saw a letter wishing me a happy birthday..My parents died in a car accident and were buried on my birthday. What a cruel world" I thought "
The basement was next to my room but now my room had been taken away from me all I had to do was use the only room left by my parents nobody knew of.
Why is this world so cruel to humans, so my parents where planning my birthday before their demise. I broke down in tears. Then I heard a sound from the room. I saw it was a computer that showed images of the whole house. It showed a picture of a girl. I instantly guessed she was my cousin cause she really looked like aunt She was shouting to be given ice-cream she clumsiness for fucks sake she is not a baby boo. I scroll down to see my aunt coming towards my room hallway. I rushed and turn off the laptop and lights in the room[secret room ]. And off the ones In my room[basement] and sat down. IÂ started to cry bitterly she then screamed. "Maraian didn't I tell you to cater for all the needs of the twins". I stood up and said.
But aunt I'm still mourning the death of my parents "I shouldn't had made that deal with her in the first place" Then I got a hot slap from my aunt. Which caused me to fall down very hard I then shouted aaaaahhhh.Then remembered my aunt said she was allergic to people that cry. I then sobbed quietly then said "Aunt I'm very sorry this won't happen again" "it better not" She replied to me then left afterwards she then told the maids not to give me
anything to eat, unless I
Finnish catering for her children.
After all that drama I went to the my old room I knocked and went in after I had heard a response "Hi I am Maraian you new help" I said. "Okay I am also your new master Valeria I want you to be my help in the house understood said Valeria. Yes ma'am I said. "I clearly said IÂ was your made and u are telling me again to help you in the house so dumb "I thought." Now I want you to go tomorrow you will start your job" "thank you ma'am" I said again.
"And by the way you really stink" said Valeria. I wanted to slap her but then she said you "say thank you to whatever I say got it" "yes ma'am thank you ma'am" I said Maraian.
Their room were opposite to each other before mine
which was the last. I then headed to the other twin's room I knocked, and he told me to enter. "Hi master I am you new servant Maraian and I will do anything you want me to do for you"I said he looked very cool not like his twin sister though. "Okay but listen I'm not like my mom and sis I'm just playing along, I hate what their doing seriously but can't voice it out so cousins"he said. "Yeah cousins" I said. "I'm Valerian" "OK" Then I walked out of theroom and headed to the kitchen. Then the other maids were surprised to see me. With the look on their faces, they wanted to help me out, but with what their master had said they dare not go against it.
