In a realm between worlds four figures sat at an iridescent round table that floated in the void to discuss something of great import, the table was made of some kind of fine marble-like material with a golden material threading within it like the veins of a living creature.
Each chair was made of a different mystical metal that pulsed with divine energy and upon these magnificent and comfortable chairs sat four distinct and mighty figures.
In one chair made of a mixture of what appeared to be roots of some mystical tree and golden metal that pulsed with golden runes that danced along the smooth gleaming surface.
The man who sat at the chair was an aged man in what can only be described as a fantastical royal armor each plate made of mystical metal that thrummed with such might that the very air around them seemed to shimmer even as they danced along the surface of the metal.
Wearing a helmet of the same material that covered one eye completely, the top of the helmet sprouted magical roots that formed into horns on his head giving him a somewhat fearsome look as his one visible eye glowed with golden light and strange magics.
In his right hand he wielded a mighty spear made of a gleaming golden metal sat atop a shaft made of the world tree itself giving it an inherent power and mystery on top of the myriad runes dancing along the length each one crackling with divine potential.
Every subtle movement of the long spear created an afterimage in the void as it passed giving it a somewhat ethereal appearance when moving.
On the direct opposite side of him sat a muscular but aged man with brilliant white hair and a beard, he wore a toga over his body to hide his privates but on his legs were greaves made of some kind of silver metal with a diamond-like structure but within said structure storms raged incessantly fueling the defensive and offensive enchantment that the armor was made with.
Similar Vambraces were also on his forearms with a distinct glowing lightning bolt on both pieces of armor that crackled with divine lightning.
The chair he sat on appeared to be made of some kind of divine gold that thrummed a constant electrical current and sitting beside said electric chair a brilliant golden shield in the shape of a gorgon's head.
Next to the shield a constantly crackling javelin that seemed to contain a powerful and unstable energy, it was clear to all that this was a weapon of mass destruction but none of those around him seemed to care.
To this man's right sat a woman with dark skin and brilliant glowing golden eyes that seemed to peer into all things past, present and future, she wore a red crown that bore an image of a click beetle made of some kind of dark green gemstone.
She wore a thin web-like red dress that only came to her upper thigh and stockings made of a similar web-like material of a darker shade that was closer to black, her bountiful cleavage was wrapped by the same-colored webbing and a red jacket covered the rest, it appeared to be made of some strange leather but if a mortal laid their eyes on it they would typically go mad unless given direct protection.
The woman sat atop a chair that seemed to be made in the image of a click beetle, but its comfort was apparent on her face.
To the side of the strange chair sat a bow with three strings, however if one were to try to focus on one string, they would soon find themselves looking elsewhere as they moved and weaved, withing each other in a way that was almost hypnotic.
The wood of the bow seemed to carry a dense finality about it as if it was wrought straight from a tree that only grows in the afterlife the seemingly living wooden bow thrummed with golden veins that gave it a regal and queenly appearance.
To the opposite of Neith sat a lustful looking woman wearing a loose robe that only barely covered her important bits but left enough mystery to arouse constant stares from any and all within creation.
The robe seemed to be made of a physical form of chaos as it roiled like the waves of the ocean even as she sat there unmoving.
Her fair skin was as smooth as pearl but along her collarbone multicolored scales shimmered in a way that only highlighted her celestial beauty.
These iridescent and multicolored scales arced all the way from her collar bone and faded into her long neck that would tempt any man to take a nibble even at their own expense.
Her seat appeared to be made of some kind of strange coral at the base, but the strange coral shot out a constant stream of water that formed into a dense roiling throne for her to sit upon, despite being water it wouldn't dare to wet her dress and merely formed a cozy sitting spot.
She wore a necklace that had a massive blue diamond that rested comfortably between her unreasonable cleavage if one looked closely within the blue diamond it seemed to contain a living ocean of its own within its magically charged surface complete with sea life and all.
Leaning next to the chair was a staff made of a strange black coral with dense and pulsating blue lights stemming from the deep blue gem at the top of the shaft that seemed to contain an entire worlds worth of enchanted ocean water.
The grip of the staff was a phenomenal silvery metal that gleamed with an otherworldly light even as it sat there, gems of different colors corresponding with different elements were inlaid throughout the staff acting as nodes for the energy coursing within.
All four sat at this magnificent table and stared at each other warily but as if by mutual understanding they refrained from abusing their powers here as not only would they destroy their personal meeting place hidden from any and all prying eyes, but they would most likely all die in the ensuing chaos, not even a god could survive a dimensional collapse which is why most affairs on lesser plains are handled via champions or demigods they or others within their pantheons otherwise their presence in the mortal plane would collapse the realm.
In order to truly descend a god must take on mortal form but being mortal made them vulnerable to damage and any damage would weaken their godly power and if enough power is lost their position in the pantheon could be supplanted after all there were many ambitious gods.
The first to speak was Zeus who was resting his arms on the table and his chin on his hands, "This new world, we will need champions to invoke our influence and whoever gets the most followers at the end of fifty years also whoever has the most followers will as per the usual rules be given the world in its entirety.
Odin clapped his grizzled hands and spoke up, "I already spoke with Yahweh, and we are each allowed to take one person from Earth, mind you we aren't taking them so to speak but allowing them to travel to this world in their dreams!"
Tiamat sat up from her comfortable position and pressed her hands into the table, "Why is he being so damned unreasonable, that old stingy bastard!" Despite her elegant appearance she was quite brash and loud.
Odin looked at her with his one eye and declared, "He won Earth just like we won other worlds, don't be mad just because his happened to bear a magicless people!" Odin said with an inherent snark.
"Tsk, old bastard!" She growled.
Odin slapped the table, "WHO ARE YOU CALLING OLD YOU ANCIENT BITCH!" Odin roared at Tiamat who only glared back at him in defiance but suddenly the space itself began to rumble and sensing this Odin calmed down forcefully and sat back down.
Following Odin's example Tiamat took her seat, but the chair was visibly boiling beneath her.
Neith leaned over and rested her head on the table letting her melon coiffure become slightly disheveled, her eyes glowing golden with what appeared to be stars within stared into nothing as she whispered, "This one should more entertaining than the god games at least!" she said as she thought about her sims character and her previous playthrough of an older game called Black & White which allowed you to quite literally be a new god which sounded like a fun concept but from her side it was rather lackluster as she had been there when the multiverses formed along with many other creator gods and their kin.
"Will it be random again or do we get to pick personally?" Zeus questioned trying to find any way to gain an advantage.
Tiamat glared at Zeus and answered, "Its Yahweh... of course its random, did you think he was going to let you choose the best of his world?" Tiamat summoned what appeared to be a glass of wine, "I bet we end up with dregs again, I would even put a wager on it!" she drank the entire cup of golden wine!
The three other god's eyes snapped to Tiamat who had just finished savoring the flavor of the golden wine.
"A wager you say?" Before the three of them could say anything, a door made of shadowy light opened in front of the four gods and in walked a tan skinned man with dark piercing red eyes and what appeared to be a 4-piece suit.
"Phosphorus!?" The four said in near unison causing their voices to echo one another.
"I go by Lucifer now but it's good to see you all!" Lucifer's red eyes scanned the room and nodded as he locked eyes with Tiamat!
"Now about that bet?" He said giving Tiamat the chills, she held a deep-seated hatred for this god who had left her to raise a clutch of dragon god eggs by herself, and the bubbling surface of her chair began turning blood red as it increased in temperature before sighing and regaining her calm, she wasn't about to let this man get to her.
Soon all five of the gods reluctantly shook hands after making a series of unknown deals and above the shaking hands five magical sigils overlapped into what appeared to be a soul contract using their very divinity as the currency.
The soul contract split into five multicolored beams of light that all travelled to a single world Earth, the home of mankind and the reason Yahweh gets to decide the rules in this quadrant of the multiverse demanding soul taxes and making rules and such.
The beams travelled at speeds that simply broke the laws of physics before arriving in the solar system and eventually arriving at their destination and circling the planet before they randomly chose a target and descended, the last light fell over Owasso, Oklahoma where William was beginning to fall to sleep and just when he does—
"WHOOSH!" An invisible beam of energy somehow bypasses every material in its way and pierces William's head just as he finally went completely to sleep.

Suddenly William's current dream turned to black, and he appeared in a lush clearing within a forest, he looked around and saw nothing but a tree and a pond within the clearing and stood momentarily absolutely stunned before deciding to walk over to the pond for water as he had begun to feel thirsty.
William's reflection looked back at him, and he momentarily checked his features to make sure that he was all there and okay, his green and blue eyes noticed however a dense silvery metal vambrace was on his arm with the image of a solar eclipse perhaps a symbol both mystical and mysterious
He touched the smooth silvery surface, and he suddenly jumped back as a blue screen appeared directly in front of his face catching him off guard and causing him to roll into the water.
"Spash!"
He groaned as he stood up and grumbled as he raised his head and saw the strange screen in front of him, he pushed his hand through the screen and felt nothing, it was clear that it was both there and not there at the same time.

William did some quick and forceful movements and noticed the increase in his power, it wasn't much but he was definitely punching hard enough to knock down an athlete if he caught them off guard and hit them somewhere critically.
He jumped around and due to his strength, his jump height increased and allowed him to perform a series of flips in the air, more than a few times he crashed as he wasn't used to moving like this.
He was unaware of the glowing set of eyes peering at him through the woods and thickets.
