City Sector 3 – Anomaly Ground Zero
4:21 a.m.A spiritual collapse wave struck the southeast quadrant of the city.
Overpasses crumbled.Containment seals failed.Dozens of minor spirits burst free into the night.
But this was only the prelude.
Inside Bureau HQ, the alarm system blared:
"Anomaly ID: GX-01""Entity Classification: Enforcer of the Gray Domain – Code Name: Arbiter of Laws""Abilities: Word as Law. Logic Override. Resistance: None."
When Lu Feng and Kaelin arrived, the street was unnaturally silent.
Buildings shimmered with ghost-text—red letters etched into concrete, air, and light:
"Be Silent.""Do Not Move.""Forget.""Collapse."
People, spirits, and even Bureau-forged barriers had already failed.
"This is law-binding speech magic…" Kaelin murmured, "but on a scale that violates reality."
"That's the Gray Domain's signature," Lu Feng replied. "It doesn't cast spells. It declares truth."
At the end of the street, a figure emerged.
Cloaked in an ancient robe, its face hidden beneath silver. It didn't speak—but its voice echoed in their minds:
"Dual-bonded soul pair—under observation."
"Existence classified as anomaly."
"Verdict: Erasure."
The Enforcer raised a hand.
A blade of light, shaped by pure linguistic code, slashed forward—cutting through space itself.
"Fall back!" Zhao Ting shouted.
But Lu Feng stepped forward instead.
He raised his arms.
Two soul chains—blue and white—wrapped around him like flowing armor.
"Fate Chain – Autonomous Protection: Causal Reversal!"
The Enforcer's strike hit—And was immediately reflected back by Lu Feng's reversed fate construct.
The Enforcer paused—its logic circuits momentarily disrupted.
"You rerouted the chain of command," it said flatly."You carry the mark of Deviation."
Lu Feng's eyes sharpened. "I'm your worst-case variable."
He charged.
The twin soul chains spun into a radiant spear—and struck directly at the Enforcer's core.
The Enforcer retreated, phasing through dimensions.
"Freeze," it commanded.
But Kaelin activated her own technique:
"Bond Echo Disruption – Rule Nullification!"
Her shared frequency interfered with the Enforcer's declaration magic—just long enough.
Lu Feng struck.
One chain pierced the Enforcer's arm—data exploded in silver fragments.
The Enforcer reeled back.
"You have been designated a Subject of Central Core Observation."
"You will soon be… chosen."
With that, it vanished into the crackling rift.
Aftermath – Bureau Central
The city returned to stillness. But this fight had changed everything.
Not just for the Bureau.
For the entire world.
The Gray Domain had spoken—not through destruction, but with one clear truth:
Its words could reshape existence.
And now—Only one man could stand outside that rule.
Lu Feng.
