Chapter 1 - message

This story is originally created by Eat2MoreStories. I was so inspired by it that I decided to add my own twist and imagination to some parts. You'll find my thoughts, emotions, and creativity woven into the scenes. All credit for the original concept goes to the amazing original author!

Yuri left Drew's house with clenched fists and tears in her eyes, but she didn't say a word to me. She just… walked away.

I didn't chase her. Something about the silence scared me more than any fight could.

Back in my room, the air felt thick. My phone buzzed once—just one notification.

Unknown Number: "Your beloved Kiefer's next. Watch this."

I swear, my heart stopped.

I opened the video—and everything inside me shattered.

Kiefer. Bruised. Bleeding. Tied to a chair in some dingy place with flickering lights and cracked walls. He didn't look scared. He looked like he wanted to kill someone.

"Tell Jay," a deep voice said behind the camera, "she's next if she doesn't back off."

My hands were shaking. My breathing turned shallow. I pressed the video to my chest like that could somehow undo it.

I wanted to scream. Cry. Destroy everything in the room.

But instead… I went still.

I didn't tell anyone. Not yet.

I needed a second. Just one second to think—to plan. Kiefer wouldn't want me to be reckless. But he also wouldn't want me to hide.

I stared at the paused frame on my phone. A crack in the wall behind him. Red graffiti on the floor. That's a clue.

"Hang on," I whispered. "I'm coming."
