In the beginning, the world was normal.
It had cities, technology, skyrails, and flying cars—hovering between skyscrapers like metal birds across concrete skies. Nations warred with swords and ancient magic instead of missiles. Power was split between bloodlines, and honor was forged in mana-infused steel.
But everything changed… five thousand years ago.
Portals—rifts in the fabric of reality—began to tear across the world, spewing creatures from other dimensions. Beasts of nightmare. Monsters beyond comprehension. Dungeons formed around them, strange zones filled with treasure and horror. With them came death. Chaos. An end to normality.
The old world shattered.
And from its ashes, the System emerged.
At first, no one understood it. Blue windows of information floated in front of people's eyes. Some panicked. Others adapted. Classes appeared. Stats. Skills. Levels.
The world itself had become a game.
The strongest rose. The weak died. Civilization restructured itself around this new truth. Guilds, Clans, Academies, and Factions formed to control resources and dungeons. Power was everything. Bloodlines determined status. And the System—the artificial intelligence governing the world—set rules that all had to follow.
Or so everyone believed.
But there was a secret. A forgotten story buried by time.
A man and a woman—two of the most powerful beings to ever live—defied the System. One was a Lycan Sovereign, born of the first Beast Lords. The other, a Vampiric Empress, descended from the blood-drinking immortals of old. They shouldn't have met. They shouldn't have fallen in love. But they did.
And from that forbidden union, two children were born.
Twins.
A boy and a girl.
Their very existence was a threat to the order of the world.
Because in their veins ran the impossible—a merged bloodline of Beast and Vampire. Their souls, too strong to be bound by the artificial System that ruled the world, awakened a new force entirely: the Bloodlinked Core.
A living system.
One that could not be controlled.
One that could evolve without limit.
And so, before their potential could be realized, they were marked for death.

Ten Years Before the Story Begins
Deep within Ebonshade City, inside the noble house of Umbros, the cries of infants echoed through the night. One with black-silver hair and heterochromic eyes—one red, one purple. The other, his twin sister, had lilac-tinted hair and a mysterious aura that made even the strongest warriors uneasy.
From the moment they were born, elders whispered that the children were cursed.
Their father disappeared the night they were born.
Their mother was found dead a week later, her body drained of blood and mana.
The twins survived.
Barely.
Adopted into the care of the clan that feared them, Kael and Selene grew up shunned, isolated, and eventually… hated.
Their presence brought unease. Strange things happened around them. Mana fluctuated. Creatures avoided their scent. Their talents, even suppressed, surpassed full-blooded warriors twice their age.
When Kael turned ten, the clan struck.
An ambush. Their own family members. Elders, cousins, guards.
Kill the abominations.
But they failed.
The twins fought back.
Blood was spilled.
And the twins fled into the Obsidian Thicket, a forbidden forest feared even by high-ranking cultivators. No one followed. No one dared.
Because something awakened that day.
A pulse.
A storm.
The true System—not the one given to the world, but one that belonged to them.
Their bloodline system. Living. Breathing. Evolving.
And the world would never be the same.
