Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

007 I Crave Beautiful Girls, I'm Honest

With Lin Moze leading the way, the two quickly arrived at the school's rooftop.

What was somewhat unexpected was that the rooftop door was open, and apart from a few scattered Kabane, there were no survivors as anticipated.

It's possible that during the disaster, the students on the rooftop turned into Kabane.

It's also possible that someone escaped here, but the door wasn't locked in time and was broken through by the pursuing Kabane, ultimately becoming one of the monsters.

But no matter what, it made Lin Moze's actions much easier.

After dealing with the few Kabane, Lin Moze's points had begun to approach the 2,000 mark.

Originally, he wanted to try out his devouring ability, but because of Kiyokawa Haimo behind him, he didn't do it immediately.

On one hand, he wanted to conceal his true abilities.

On the other hand, he also wanted to create a "harmless" filter to his image, to some degree.

Humans are visual creatures. When they see someone fight monsters, they tend to label them as "heroes" and show admiration.

However, if they see someone using an even more terrifying method to devour the monsters, they will easily regard that person as a monster among monsters, causing fear and rejection.

In an apocalyptic world, Lin Moze naturally didn't care about ordinary people's rejection, nor did he enjoy admiration.

But, he craved beautiful girls!

He didn't seek a perfect image, but he didn't want to fall to the level where a beautiful girl would still be trembling in fear while playing cards with him.

Without the girl actively interacting, the experience would be too low.

As for using force directly?

Sorry, anyone who thinks like that should take a cab and turn themselves in.

...

After closing the rooftop door, the atmosphere on the rooftop finally returned to its original silence.

Kiyokawa Haimo walked to the edge of the rooftop, observing the situation in the distance.

The school building itself wasn't very tall, but compared to the surrounding residential buildings, the view was quite open. At this moment, she could see several places in the distance with fire and smoke rising.

Faint screams and explosions could be heard from between the buildings, and occasionally, a few helicopters flew past, creating a loud rumble.

The chaos of the collapse of civilization was already beginning to show.

What should she do next?

For an ordinary student, they would definitely try everything to go home, to check on their family, and reunite with them.

But she had been raised in a single-parent family, with her father always busy with work, frequently traveling both domestically and internationally. Over time, even she didn't know where he was headed.

When the disaster first started, she tried calling her father, but she couldn't get through.

Among the classmates who came with her, there was no one particularly dear to her. Her close friends were currently in Saitama Prefecture, and even if she wanted to worry, she couldn't do much.

For a moment, Kiyokawa Haimo was unexpectedly filled with confusion.

However, this feeling didn't last for more than a few seconds, as the sound of a loud "bang" behind her interrupted her thoughts.

She quickly turned around to see Lin Moze, who, without her noticing, had left two small craters on the ground and was now holding a plastic bag full of items.

"What's this?" The girl curiously stepped forward.

"I saw you standing there in a daze, so I went downstairs and brought some food I had bought earlier," Lin Moze said.

He flipped the plastic bag, and bottles of mineral water and loaves of bread spilled out.

When the apocalypse first began, he didn't know he would gain the power of the Black Light Virus, so he had bought a lot of water and food from a convenience store.

Because he was eager to test his strength earlier, he had left these things in the gymnasium. Not wanting to waste anything, he went to retrieve them, also enjoying a bit of rooftop parkour along the way.

In fact, even with his recent enhancements, he was already able to run on the walls of buildings, greatly improving his mobility.

The only downside was that he didn't yet possess the ability to glide, so his flying dream was still a bit far off.

"You went downstairs?"

Kiyokawa Haimo glanced at the still-locked iron door of the rooftop, then at the deep craters on the rooftop edge, and seemed to understand how Lin Moze had managed to go up and down. She couldn't help but exclaim:

"Lin-kun, your ability is truly amazing. It's much stronger than the power I drew."

"It's okay. I got a super soldier serum ability from the newbie package, so my combat power was pretty strong from the start," Lin Moze replied nonchalantly, lying through his teeth, before asking, "How about you? This 'stand-in' ability you have looks pretty interesting. What exactly is it?"

At this point, if someone was particularly sharp, they would be wary of Lin Moze's sudden question, but fortunately, Kiyokawa Haimo didn't suspect anything.

"I got an ability called 'Stand,' and my Stand is called 'The Golden Control,' which is the golden thing you see," the girl answered in detail. "I can cover it over my body to change my appearance, and it can also block some attacks. But its size isn't very large, so when it covers my whole body, it's only a thin layer."

Her answer confirmed Lin Moze's guess.

The Stand ability was inspired by the special power from the anime JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and the Stand named "The Golden Control" was an ability originally belonging to a character in the anime.

Moreover, it was quite a powerful Stand ability. At least in the anime, its performance was quite impressive.

From Lin Moze's memory, just in terms of defense, when "The Golden Control" expanded to a certain size, it would form a rubber armor that was impermeable to physical attacks, capable of absorbing kinetic energy impacts perfectly, and even resist burning and freezing, protecting the body from any harm.

Not only that, "The Golden Control" could devour organic matter to increase its size. When a small part of the Stand split off and attached itself to other living beings, it would start to cover their whole bodies, eventually killing and absorbing the entire organism.

In short, Kiyokawa Haimo, with her "Golden Control" Stand, had immense potential. Even without meeting Lin Moze, after getting past the initial chaos of the apocalypse, she could have lived quite well.

And since her potential was so great, she definitely couldn't be overlooked...

Thinking this, Lin Moze's tone softened as he said:

"Actually, I think the ability you drew isn't as simple as you might think."
