"Miss Bellin, when will you be able to develop Human Potential Activation Drink version 2.0?"
Vistad asked with a fawning grin, watching Katie sleep on the Lounge Chair. Even though Bellin's newly developed Beverage had terrifying side effects, the finished product was undeniably a treasure worth its weight in gold.
"Do you think development is that easy? Human potential is inherently difficult to unlock. Moreover, my creation doesn't directly unleash your potential; it acts as a catalyst to activate your original potential. The potential you unlocked last time probably hasn't fully converted into Strength yet, has it?"
Bell-lin said, turning to look at Vistad, who scratched his head sheepishly.
"I've run into some research bottlenecks recently, so I estimate it won't be developed anytime soon. However, if you, Vistad, are willing to cooperate with my research, we might be able to develop a new product before long?"
Bell-lin said with a smile. In Vistad's eyes, Bell-lin at that moment was like a demon tempting him into hell, yet the things she offered were incredibly alluring.
"Alright, Bell-lin, stop teasing Vistad." Nicholas interrupted them. "The problem of test subjects is easily solved. We can just find some clueless Pirates later." If Bell-lin could fully control her own Ability, Nicholas wouldn't interfere. However, after deep development, even Bell-lin herself struggled to control her Ability. A single mistake could be dangerous, even for Vistad with the powerful Vitality granted by his Giant Bloodline.
"By the way, Bell-lin, how's the research on that book coming along?" Nicholas asked, curious.
"That book isn't actually that complex. Although parts are missing, it's clearly an old artifact. Many Fruits aren't recorded in it, but the Fruits that are documented have been a great help to us. Of course, the most interesting part is what's recorded at the back of the book – secrets that very few people in this world probably know." As she spoke, Bell-lin pulled out a book with a hard cover from behind her.
Nicholas took the book from Bell-lin and began to examine it. This book, too, Bell-lin had acquired by trading her specially prepared Beverage with Roger and his crew. In fact, strictly speaking, Bell-lin was the wealthiest person on the ship.
Holding the book in his hands, Nicholas could immediately tell it wasn't made of paper. It felt more like tanned animal hide. After all, paper wouldn't survive the ravages of time.
Upon opening the first page, Nicholas was slightly taken aback, as the contents of the book were incredibly fascinating. Indeed, it was a Devil Fruit Encyclopedia, something even rarer than a Devil Fruit itself. While Devil Fruits were rare, at least people had seen them. But a Devil Fruit Encyclopedia? Ordinary people would never have the chance to encounter such a thing outside of major powers.
Take Five Emperors King Luffy, for example. If Sanji, the Germa Prince, hadn't had exposure to it due to his father's connections, no one on the entire crew would have even known about the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia. If even a Five Emperors crew was like this, the Supernova crews were even less likely to know.
The first page of the book covered Zoan Type Fruits. After all, Zoan Type Devil Fruits were relatively common on the Grand Line and their Abilities were easier to analyze. The entire first page was dedicated to information about this Fruit type.
Zoan-type Devil Fruits allow people to transform into Animals, with a total of three transformation Abilities: "Human Form," "Beast Form," and "Human-Beast Form."
In Human Form, while maintaining a human appearance, one already possesses the various enhancement effects of the Zoan-type Devil Fruit Ability.
Beast Form: transforming into the Animal represented by the Devil Fruit Ability. Among these, Mythical Zoan are the most powerful, followed by Ancient Zoan.
Human-Beast Form: the physical Abilities of an Ability User who has consumed a Devil Fruit representing a certain Animal will be enhanced. Animal-specific body parts like horns, teeth, claws, body hair, and Tails will be strengthened.
Note: Among Zoan types, "Carnivorous Species" tend to be more ferocious compared to "Herbivorous Species."
Next came the introduction of Fruits.
Animal-Animal Fruit, Jackal Form.
After consumption: grants the Zoan Type Jackal Form Ability, allowing Human Form, Beast Form, and Human-Beast Form transformations. This Zoan-type Devil Fruit is a standard Zoan Fruit, with no special forms.
Ability: Aside from standard Zoan enhancements, no special Abilities have been discovered yet, awaiting further development.

This Fruit is a common Zoan Fruit, providing a boost to Strength, but its potential for further development is low.
The following entries were mostly Zoan Fruits, including several Ancient Zoan types, though there were no Mythical Zoan recorded. Further on, there were also entries for various Logia Type and Paramecia-type Devil Fruits. However, Zoan Fruits remained the most numerous.
But this Encyclopedia was still incredibly valuable. It not only described the names, Abilities, and Power gained from consuming Devil Fruits, but also mentioned some other uses.
It wasn't until Nicholas reached the last few pages that he understood what Bell-lin had meant. The entries here weren't about Devil Fruits themselves, but rather research Data related to Devil Fruits.

The following section detailed experiments on imbuing Weapons with Zoan-type Devil Fruit Abilities.
According to our research, to imbue a Weapon with a Devil Fruit Ability, we must first accomplish the following. First, we must use some kind of container to place the Devil Fruit in an absolutely sealed environment. After all, based on our speculation, the reason Devil Fruits possess such miraculous Power might be because, as their name suggests, a Demon resides within them. Or perhaps even a God. After all, Devil Fruits might have been called God-Given Fruits long ago, who knows?
Our research team discovered after countless experiments that no matter what material Weapon we used, the Demon within the Fruit would eventually escape. Fortunately, we soon discovered an item called Sea Prism Stone. This material seemed to be specifically created to suppress the Demons within Devil Fruits.
Using unique methods, we processed it into a sealed container. Then, we placed a Weapon, infused with Lineage Factors compatible with the Devil Fruit, and the Devil Fruit itself inside simultaneously. The specific extraction method for Lineage Factors (large section crossed out).
With preparations complete, we could proceed to the next step, which was also the most difficult: extracting the Demon from the Devil Fruit. After completely destroying the Devil Fruit, the Demon, lacking a host and unable to escape the Sea Prism Stone cage, would wander within the sealed space. In our initial observations, the Demon within the Devil Fruit seemed uninterested in the Weapons infused with Lineage Factors.
However, one day, we noticed that the Demon within the Sea Prism Stone seemed to grow anxious, as if something terrible would happen if it didn't find a suitable host soon.
And so, we obtained a Devil Fruit Weapon.
Although the experiment was a success, and my colleagues were quite excited, I couldn't bring myself to be happy. We seemed to have stumbled upon an unknown realm, a realm belonging to Gods!
I have a feeling that something terrible is going to happen.
After closing the book, Nicholas fell deep into thought.
