Chapter 4 - Chapter 3

(Hello everyone! I'll be releasing two chapters every day. And am sorry for releasing today's chapters late.)

John collected his thoughts, took a deep breath, and stood up, pushing his chair back from the desk. The empty classroom seemed to echo with the weight of his responsibilities. He walked out, his footsteps quiet in the corridor, and made his way to the cafeteria. A quick lunch was just what he needed to clear his mind before retreating to his room.

As he entered the bustling cafeteria, the aroma of food filled the air, and the hum of conversation enveloped him. John ordered his meal and scanned the room for a quiet spot. Spotting a desolate corner, he headed towards it, trying to avoid attention.

However, it was impossible to go unnoticed. The other teachers, already seated and eating, cast furtive glances his way. Their hushed conversations and pointed fingers were a clear indication that they were discussing the meeting. John chose to ignore them, focusing instead on his meal.

As he ate, his mind wandered back to the meeting. The mocking expression on Liam Reed's face, the skeptical glances from the other teachers, and the Headmaster's stern warning replayed in his mind like a bad omen. John's thoughts turned to his students and the daunting task ahead – achieving a good ranking in the Teacher Assessment Program. He racked his brain for solutions, but after thirty minutes of mental gymnastics, he came up empty-handed.

Frustrated, John sighed and looked down at his plate, only to find that he had finished his meal without realizing it. The empty plate stared back at him, a reminder of the food he had consumed without savoring. He pushed his chair back and stood up, his eyes scanning the cafeteria once more before he walked out, lost in thought.

As he walked, John couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched. He glanced over his shoulder, catching a few teachers quickly looking away. The atmosphere in the cafeteria seemed to grow heavier, and John quickened his pace. He pushed open the door and stepped out into the fresh air, feeling a slight relief wash over him.

The courtyard was quiet, with only a few students milling about. John walked slowly, taking in the familiar sights and sounds. He passed by the training grounds, where students were practicing their martial arts techniques. The clash of steel on steel and the shouts of instructors created a sense of energy and purpose. John watched for a moment, feeling a pang of nostalgia. He had once dreamed of being a great martial warrior, but now he was just a teacher, struggling to make a difference.

The weight of his responsibilities settled back onto his shoulders, and John continued walking, lost in thought. He knew he had to come up with a plan to help his students succeed. The question was, where would he start?

John trudged into his bedroom, the weight of his responsibilities bearing down on him. He slumped onto the bed, his mind racing with thoughts of his students and the looming assessment. The pressure to perform was suffocating, and John's anxiety threatened to overwhelm him.

As he lay there, feeling hopeless, a sudden voice echoed in his mind.

["Ding! An Unknown Being took pity on your situation..."]

The words were unfamiliar, yet somehow, they resonated deep within him. John's eyes snapped open, and he sat up with a start.

The voice continued, its tone mechanical yet otherworldly. ["The Celestial Teacher System has been activated!"]

John's mind reeled as the messages flooded in.

["Bonding the system to the host's soul... Host, please bear with the pain as the system would also rebuild the host's body and improve his talent!"]

Before John could comprehend the implications, a searing pain coursed through his body. He screamed, his voice echoing off the walls as his body began to transform. The agony was indescribable, like his cells were being rewritten, his very essence reshaped.

As the pain intensified, John's vision blurred, and he felt himself slipping away. His body convulsed, and then, everything went black. John collapsed onto the bed, unconscious, his fate now intertwined with the mysterious Celestial Teacher System.

The room fell silent, except for the sound of John's labored breathing. His body began to glow with a soft, ethereal light, as if the system was indeed rebuilding him from the inside out. The light grew brighter, filling the room with an otherworldly energy.

Time passed, and John's body slowly began to relax, his breathing steadying. The light faded, leaving behind a sense of calm and anticipation. John's fate had taken a dramatic turn, and only time would reveal the true extent of the Celestial Teacher System's power.
