Ch.2: SuperStack

Getting out of guild, I made my way towards my home.
Contrary to what one might expect, I was really in a good mood.
As for the little scene in the adventurer's guild? Hah, I was gonna leave that anyway, so it' s good that they themselves showed their willingness to part.
Somewhere in my heart I was afraid that those guys would be too attached to me after all the things I did for them, I even suppressed my nausea and tried to treat them with genuine kindness, undeserving them even till the very end.
Who would have thought, Offered a finger, they grabbed for the heart.
'Let's not remember those things today is one to be happy afterall~!'
And why should I not be? Today is the day when I will finally evolve my skill!
During the age of 10, only 1 out of 100 people awaken a skill. The same rate of people having the talent to become a mage or knight.
But even then, only a few people awaken a useful skill and then there comes a few people who awaken a skill as unique as mine.
'Super Intuition'
When I had awakened this skill, a few people said that it was a pity that I have already walked on the path of a mage and the skill is suitable for a knight instead, but I couldn't do go back in time and told my 9-year-old self to change my way could I?
But there was a catch, apart from granting great intuition and senses to detect danger it also gives answer to any question asked in true or false, 1 or 0.
Like I could know not only if it will rain tomorrow but also if a business is gonna succeed or fail, a person is a spy or not and much more.
These were the things based on which I created my various potions, magic products and had their patents.
Even the dual core theory could have been successful if not for me not considering the possibility of aura affinity causing a problem.
"Hah, let's not remember depressing things." I sighed.
That was the most tragic moment of my life, if not for it I would have definitely ruled the continent in the future.
Walking for a few minutes, I saw a 3-floor building with unique style standing in the middle of the garden surrounded by 10-foot-tall walls.
Unlocking the gate, I got inside.
*Shatter! *
*Crash!*
There were some sounds coming from the second floor laboratory .
"It should be from room no. 3. Hmm, good looks like it's the third time. This subject is really something else."
Though I was curious, I still ignored them, something else is more important now.
With that, I quickly got into my room and took out a spherical magic item out.
"Let's take a last look at my status, after all it is going to change by what will happen now." I said with a smile on my lips that reached out to my ears.
Activating it by allowing my mana to get in contact with the magic item. I could see a set of information appearing on the surface of the glass ball.

"Yes! It's finally 100%" I said with imaginary tears streaming down my eyes.
"Finally, I don't have to keep coping up with those filthy commoners who try to look human by calling themselves adventurers to increase my skill experience to use my trait on it."
Still, I should be happy that it was done under 1 year, I was having a really hard time holding myself back from showing my disgust outright at their face. Even then, I did not lose much time and was successful in having some experiments side by side as well so it's all good.
"Now I don't have to worry about such things."
Thinking that, without wasting any more precious time, I got to work instantly.
"Alright my trait unique to my own, you have shown your worth when operating on others, now show me how effective you when working for your master!"

"Oh, there is an option! Didn't have it when I used my trait on the experiment subjects till now. Maybe it only appears on targets which has reached 100% experience."
Seeing this I started to ponder. "Based on my research, if chose specialization it will pretty much enhance in capabilities like long rang with multiple detection types and allowing the answers to be given in short sentences instead of just a few words but there is a possibility that it will just evolve towards what its name entails.
"And Generalization will probably include other few abilities of the same caliber while also keeping the original effect active."
After thinking about it for a bit I had made my decision, "Lets go with generalization. I don't like the possibility of loosing the original effect."

Slowly time passed by, and the results were self-evident.

"SuperStack? Sounds fancy, what does it do?" I said to myself, but little did I expect for something to pop out in front of me, much less a screen.

"Hm? So, the now upgraded skill has 3 subskills all on the level of the pervious version. That's cool! Let's look at the one called Super Recovery first, I think this will be the one which can help me the most right now!"
Just thinking about being able to have my mana circuits regenerating on their own sounded like a fantasy to me.

"Yes! Yes! Lets see in more detail. Maybe this is one which will do the work!"
[Physical Recovery: Recover from any kind of negative effect multiple times faster than what is normal (passive). Once a day can recover any and all kind of negative physical states to complete recovery (active). ]
"Lets do it!"
I said mentally activating the skill and a visible green glow surrounded my body and a cooling energy enveloped my body. For a second i feel like i was in heaven.
And the next instant i could feel myself completely reborn, like there is an endless energy inside of me unused even 1%.
I quickly took of my robe and upper body clothes, only to see even the large slashing mark on the side of my waist had disappeared.
Even the small cut mark I had on my toes which I had received when i was 4 years old had disappeared.
D-Does that mean even my mana circuits have recovered?
Unable to contain my excitement i tried to feel my mana.
Though rusty, it was incomparably more smoother connection than before.
Now onto the next step. Manipulating the mana to feel my magic circuits.
Slowly, I tried to manipulate my mana...
"Hm? Why is it the same?"
I tried again and again, but I never managed to feel my mana circuits.
"Why! Why! Why! The skill worked just fine. Why is the effect I am wanting the most missing?"
I tried many different approaches but it never worked.
Hours had passed but i didn't get what i wanted.
Though there was another interface glowing in the golden light about some achievement of reincarnation or something I just ignored it for now.
What is important is to get answers.
And so, i moved towards my encyclopedia.
Super Intuition.
And a few moments later i knew what went wrong.
It looks like small injuries or scars are fine but if i want this skill to work on something major like severed limbs or broken mana circuits, it should be a defect obtained after I got the skill.
Still I managed to get myself together. After all it's been such a long time, I had already lost hope for a solution to appear.
Let's drop the past to what it was, i should focus on the present for now.
"Sigh, so this won' t work huh? Still, while I am at it, lets just see what spiritual part of the skill does…"
[Spiritual Recovery: Recover from any kind of negative spiritual or mental state at an accelerated pace (passive). Once a day can can recover from any kind spiritual, mental or soul recovery to the most optimal state (active)]

On that last part a curious glint appeared in my eyes, this could be a good research subject.
"Passive one aside, the Active one seems interesting. Doesn't get constrained by samsara? Does that mean if there exist a past life, i will remember it?"
Pondering for a little i decided to appease my curious heart.
"Let's try if it really works, if it works it will prove that things such as reincarnation and all exists."
Ray thought while mentally activating the skill.
A few seconds passed.
"Hm? Let's wait a bit more."
A few minutes passed.
"Maybe this takes a bit more time. Let's just lay on the bed while waiting for the skill to show effect."
One and half hours later.
"The fuck? How long will it even take? Or is the skill description fake? Or it might be that this is my first life, not other reincarnation? Whatever let's just get up, I have many things to do than just spend my time laying here." I got up annoyed but then a sudden wave of dizziness and headache hit me.
What followed was a good chunk of memory dumped on my head making me feel a headache like never experienced before.
And before I could do something, i feel on the floor passing out cold.

A/N: I just now realized, that it may appear to some of you guys that if this guy(ray) is so special (being a genius and all) why is he Lottering around with these low levelled adventurers. Well there is a reason for that. The reason is that, he joined them to get the experience(till it maxes out to 100%) by using his skills not only in deduction of true and false but also to detect dangers and all. By using this approach not only he got his skill experience till 100% but also managed to reach D rank as an adventurer which might be useful to him in future. He couldn't directly join high ranking adventurers, as for why would they and he couldn't hire then cause it would not be fruit full at all as it wouldn't allow him to freely use him skill to assist them in battle, defeating the meaning in hiring them.
