POV Flashback 2 Continued
...
As I opened the door his large silhouette turned towards me, eyes menacing, blazing with fury, lips puffy, face shaped by the large frown which it bore.
The shouting started first, a roar of fury, I think a question about where I had been, but in my sorrow I did not pay attention, and as the roars continued, echoing through my head, muddling my thoughts, slowly the sadness, the tears and the grief bled away, replaced by my own rage, my own fury, and by the realisation that I no-longer had anything to lose.
I don't really recall now, who it was that struck first. Whether it was me, or him. All I truly remember was the red that filled my sight, the red of blood, the red of hatred, the red of the burning flames of youth!.. Wait no that's not right, I meant the burning flames of revenge!
Once the fight was over he was unrecognisable, barely conscious, face battered, nose broken, ass was his jaw, eyes blackened and bruised. I rushed towards my room, grabbed as many different bags as possible, stuffing them with my belongings. I raided the man's room too, and the kitchen, and his wallet. I took everything that could be useful, or that could be sold.
I grabbed the car keys and transferred all of the different bags into the car, a cooler holding stuff from the fridge and the like. I drove off, towards the dojo, using the keys that I had received from my master before his death and opening the garage of the house portion of the dojo.
As soon as I was done transferring everything into the house I took a deep breath and looked around, finding a letter on the ground that read.
Dear Aoi
I know that my death is coming soon, and I wish I had more time to spend with you, there are a few things that I need to tell you that I couldn't really do properly with the little time I had left. What I told you about my past isn't entirely true, sure I learnt a lot of Martial arts, every single one that I mentioned, but not because I was in the army and then searching fro a thrill. Instead I accidentally joined a group of international criminals called Black Lagoon. My name is Rokuro Okajima, and although you know me as Gramps, if you go on the Internet you can probably find out more about my past.
Regardless, I'm telling you this because I've left the dojo, and what's left of my money from my criminal days to you. It may be far less than it was before, but it's still around 1 billion yen. I've taken the liberty of getting you a bank account with an old friend of mine that should show up one or two days after my death has been made public.
Listen to what he says! No matter how ridiculous it sounds, ok!?
Anyways, I love you kid, you helped me regain hope for a bit so...
This is me signing off, goodbye and good luck
Rokuro Okajima, your Master and Gramps...
A few days later, a large African-American man showed up, he was very old but still had some of that energy that Gramps had had, that fire burning deep inside. He stepped in and ruffled my hair before handing me a card.
"Wassup Kid! I'm Dutch. In the next few days you'll be seeing a lot of me! As well as a lot of your old man's friends."
