The Marvels returned to their base, exhausted but determined. They gathered in the debriefing room, still processing the events of the day.
Marcellus listened intently as they recounted their mission. "The device's energy signature was unlike anything we've seen before," Inferno explained.
Sonic Boom added, "And the blast caused massive destruction. We need to find out who or what is behind this."
Apex nodded in agreement. "We can't let them continue to threaten the city."
Terra Verde's expression was grim. "We have to be prepared for anything."
Kairos's strength was evident in his clenched fists. "We'll do whatever it takes to protect this city."
Marcellus nodded, his eyes narrowing. "I'll review the footage and see if I can identify the source of the device. You all get some rest. We'll regroup soon."
The Marvels nodded, their faces set with determination. They knew the road ahead wouldn't be easy, but they were ready.
As they dispersed, they couldn't shake off the feeling that the city was on the brink of something big. The Marvels were ready to face it head-on.
