Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: The Art Studio

Emilia woke up feeling uneasy, her mind still reeling from the midnight encounter with Julian. She tried to shake off the feeling, telling herself that she was just being paranoid.

After breakfast, Emilia decided to explore the manor and find the art studio. She had been looking forward to working on her art, and she hoped that it would help her to clear her mind.

As she wandered through the corridors, Emilia stumbled upon a door that she hadn't noticed before. It was hidden behind a tapestry, and it looked like it hadn't been used in years.

Emilia pushed the door open, and a musty smell wafted out. The room was small and cluttered, with canvases stacked against the walls and paint-splattered easels standing in the center of the room.

Despite the initial shock, Emilia felt a surge of excitement. This was the perfect space for her to work on her art.

As she began to explore the studio, Emilia noticed that there were several canvases already set up on the easels. They were all blank, except for one.

The canvas had a sketch of a woman on it, her face twisted in a scream. Emilia felt a shiver run down her spine as she realized that the woman looked eerily like her.

Suddenly, Emilia heard a noise behind her. She spun around, and Julian was standing in the doorway, a smile on his face.

"I see you've found the studio," Julian said, his eyes gleaming with intensity. "I've been waiting for you."

Emilia felt a surge of fear as Julian approached her. What did he mean by his words? And what did he know about her own dark past?

As Julian stood beside her, Emilia noticed that he was holding a small, leather-bound book. It looked old and worn, and Emilia felt a sense of curiosity.

"What's that?" Emilia asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

Julian smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "This is Elizabeth's journal," he said. "I think you'll find it interesting."

Emilia felt a shiver run down her spine as Julian handed her the journal. What secrets did it hold? And what did Julian want her to know?

As Emilia took the journal, she felt a sense of trepidation. She was trapped in Ashwood Manor with a man who seemed to be hiding secrets, and she was not sure if she would ever be able to escape.
