What have I turned into!
Laymar inwardly screamed upon seeing the reflection of a small black-purple dragon in the water.
He then pinched his cheeks with his small right claw.
Ow. This is real. I am not dreaming. I've really reincarnated. As if reincarnating wasn't ridiculous enough, I ended up as a damn chubby dragon.
He was mortified. He was still having a hard time believing that reincarnation was actually a real thing.
Laymar sat down with a sigh.
"What now?"
Sprawling on the grassy ground, he mumbled to himself, "So, I really have reincarnated. But why? Is there any reason behind it? Was someone or some force did cause this? Or is it natural?"
As he was mumbling, he suddenly remembered something. He immediately summoned his status window.

Laymar widened his purple eyes.
It's like a game system!
Abruptly, he was struck with a realization.
Wait, wait, wait.
His gaze specifically focused on the word "Mana."
Mana. That means magic is a thing in this world?!
All of a sudden, Laymar jumped to his feet, looking amazed and excited. He lived in a science based world before. Magic was only children's fantasy back in his old world. But now things were different. This world had magic or so it seems. So, it might finally be possible to live Laymar's fantasy.
Spell Recreation, Shape Shifting....
One by one, he began to count his skills on the window.
A total of 15 skills! And all of them look interesting too!
Excited, he pressed the first skill, and a notification window appeared.
[Spell Recreation: With this skill you can recreate any spells or skill you see. But during crafting the spell if you do not have correct knowledge about the spell it won't work. Note: this skill is still Lv.1. So that means, you won't be able to recreate power spells yet. As you and your skill level up, you will gain the luxury of recreating powerful spells. Reading that he shook his head.
Then he pressed the next skill. Like before another notification appeared before him.
[Shape Shifting: A skill that allows you to shift your shape into anything. But note that even if you shape shift into human and other living creatures, you can't mimic their voice. Note: This skill of your is still at Level 1. So, you can only shape shift more 1 minute. Each time you use it, it will cost you 1 mana point]
Shape Shifting, huh? Let's see.
He glowed as he thought that. Then he utter while imagining his past self.
"shape Shift."

As he uttered it, a notification appeared before him, then he began to feel tingles all over his body. Next, his black-purple color body transformed into fair human skin.
As the body color was changing, Laymar's body grew bigger, then his hands. After that, his purple eyes turned black, while small white hair changed into messy black hair.
The shape shifting was a success from the looks of it. Laymar from his small stature returned back to his 5'5 foot size.
As soon as, the shifting was complete, he again dashed towards the river. Then leaned his head forward, but cautiously, looking nervous.
His heart began to beat faster, as he was leaning his head forward. Then a reflection of a boy with messy black hair, black eyes, fair skin appeared on the streaming water.
"Hmm. Is this for real?"
As he was touching his face, he confirmed that it was true him, not his eyes tricking him. Then a relieved smile washed over Laymar's face.
He was relieved to learn that he could even shape shift back to his human form.
Now, I feel more at ease.
As he thought that he shifted his gaze back to the floating window before him.
As he moved his hand, he accidentally tapped the "Dictionary Lv.1" option. So, the description of that skill came flowing before him.
[Dictionary: You can use this skill to search for the information about something you are not aware about. Right now, due to being Lv.1 skill, it can only provide with common information that are already available in public knowledge. But after reaching certain level you will he able to attain information that are not even known to public. Note: You do not require any mana points to use this skill]
Not bad. A skill like this could come in handy- especially for someone like me, who just got thrown into an unknown world.
Suddenly an unknown force was approaching towards Laymar from behind with full force. It was a big shadow.
As the shadow was approaching him, Laymar quickly turned his head while his eyes glowed in white.
"Something is coming- something terrible."
As he said that, he immediately jumped to his left. The moment he did that a giant shadowy sphere tore through where Laymar was standing. Thus, he avoided a fatal blow.
"What the heck was that? Luckily, the sensory skill activated on its own the moment it sensed danger."
"NOT BAD, HUMAN. YOU SOMEHOW MANAGED TO SENSE MY MAGIC AND DODGED IN TIME."
Abruptly, a harsh, veil voice sounded from behind Laymar.
He instantly recoiled his body, then hurriedly rose to his feet.
"The hell?!"
Shadows from the every corner of the forest were rushing to single place. Within a few seconds, the gathered shadows formed into something like a reptilian dragon of pure shadow. It was large in size and had a pair of giant black wings.

A few drops of sweat dripped down Laymar's forehead, as his face grew pale.
