Chapter 14 - Chapter 14

As expected of the Perfect Script System—think of something, and it comes true. Teaching a brat a lesson even came with rewards.

"I'm a Trainer from Pallet Town! Weren't you looking for a battle? Fine, I accept!"

Kazuki took up the challenge from the so-called samurai.

"Oh? Great! This time, I won't lose to a Trainer from Pallet Town!"

The boy started swinging his toy samurai sword around excitedly.

"But!"

Kazuki held up two fingers. "I want two matches—one physical contest between Trainers, and one Pokémon battle!"

"Pfft—hahaha!"

The boy burst into laughter. "Kazuki, I was actually looking forward to our battle. I thought you might have some clever tactics or strategy!"

"But now, I think you're just a dummy. Just look at me—I live by the way of the samurai!"

"You think your physical skills can match mine?"

"Fine! I admire your courage! I accept!"

The samurai kid tossed aside his toy sword and bug-catching net, assuming a dramatic stance to begin the duel.

"Wait, Kazuki!"

Misty tugged his sleeve. "I agree he deserves a lesson, but… he looks pretty chunky. What if you get hurt?"

"If I do, you'll take care of me, right?" Kazuki joked, stepping forward.

"M-Me take care of you? In your dreams! I'm not your girlfriend or anything!"

Misty mumbled, flustered, but still cheered him on. "Go for it, Kazuki! Be careful!"

Kazuki gestured to the boy. "Bring it on."

"Hi-yaaah!"

The boy shouted and charged.

Kazuki easily sidestepped and caught the punch with his wrist.

To be fair, the kid packed a punch—not much weaker than James from Team Rocket.

But Kazuki, already enhanced physically, had no trouble at all.

He flipped the boy over in a classic wrestling throw and followed with a swift flurry of fists.

The kid was surprisingly resilient, trying to retaliate even after a few hits.

Only after getting bruised and swollen did he finally cry out:

"I-I give up! I lost! You're too strong!"

Kazuki stopped immediately at the sound of surrender.

The boy rolled away, clutching his puffy cheeks.

"Oww! Why's Kazuki so strong? Ugh, that hurts… but I can't say it out loud. That'd be too embarrassing!"

"Woohoo! Kazuki, you won!"

Misty clapped and cheered with genuine joy.

"Fine! You win the physical match…"

The boy grumbled, still not entirely convinced.

"But the real test of a Trainer is the Pokémon battle!"

"Go! Pinsir!"

He sent out his Pokémon with pride.

"Hah! Impressive, right? I've raised this Pinsir well! Get ready to be crushed!"

Clearly, the lesson hadn't sunk in.

Kazuki eyed the bulky Pinsir—his own Pidgeotto was still recovering after getting zapped by Pikachu.

So he sent out Pikachu again, aiming to finish this quickly.

"Go! Pikachu!"

"Pika!"

Pikachu dashed onto the field, ready for combat.

"Hahaha!"

The samurai laughed. "Pikachu? That weak little electric mouse? Its Thunder Shock won't even scratch my Pinsir's defense!"

Kazuki raised an eyebrow. "Wow… you really don't respect people or Pokémon, do you?"

"Exactly!" Misty chimed in, arms crossed. "Your attitude is terrible!"

"W-Well… whatever! This is a duel! Pinsir, use Tackle!"

Despite his loss earlier, the kid was still irrational—sending a heavy, slow Pinsir to attack first.

If it weren't for the system rewards, Kazuki wouldn't even bother fighting a Trainer like this.

Pikachu easily dodged the incoming attacks with graceful agility, and then—

Bam!

One Thunder Shock, and Pinsir collapsed.

"Huh?! N-No way!"

The boy dropped to his knees, even more devastated than after being punched.

"My… my carefully trained Pinsir lost in one hit?!"

Kazuki narrowed his eyes. "Your Pinsir has decent potential, but its Trainer? Clueless. You seriously tried to outspeed a Pikachu?"

Misty gave the boy a judging look.

Yep—Kazuki was way more impressive now.

"R-Right… oh man, you're right…"

The boy scratched his head, then stood again.

"I'm not done! Come back, Pinsir! Now… go, Metapod!"

Yup, he was completely lost. Even threw out a Metapod to fight.

"Pika?"

Even Pikachu gave Kazuki a confused look.

Kazuki waved for Pikachu to stand down.

"Hah! Giving up already? Guess we'll call it a tie—one win each—"

"A tie? You sure you want to say that?"

Kazuki cut him off with another verbal slap.

"You call yourself a Bug-type Trainer, yet you're sending Metapod into battle?"

"You don't even know that Metapod isn't meant to fight? You want it to spam Harden and never evolve?"

In the original series, this brat always gave Ash moral lectures.

But here? Kazuki was returning the favor with interest.

As he spoke, Kazuki released his own Metapod.

"I've got one too. That's why I didn't let Pikachu attack yours. And you're calling it a tie?"

That final barrage of logic and righteousness completely crushed the boy.

He had lost in strength, in training, and now even in morality.

There was nothing left—he dropped to his knees and sincerely apologized.

Misty, watching from the side, felt her heart race a little.

He really is someone who loves and respects Pokémon…

Wait… why does he suddenly look kind of handsome?

Her affection visibly grew.

She began paying attention to his face… and her thoughts wandered into new territory.

[Ding! Mission Complete: Fully Discipline and Reform the Bratty Kid]

[Reward: Sharp Beak added to system inventory!]

[Host's Poison Resistance increased by 50%!]

The resistance boost wasn't something Kazuki felt immediately.

Instead, he turned to check the item—Sharp Beak.

An item that enhances Flying-type moves.

Perfect for his Pidgeotto, which had high potential and deserved focused training.

Bzzzzzzzzzz…

Just as Kazuki was about to equip the item, he suddenly heard a loud buzzing sound…
