ūma stood with Kaelen on the edge of the Resistance city. The storm still raged above them, ink pouring from the sky like a dark flood. The city was safe, for now, but Yūma knew that wouldn't last long.
"We can't keep hiding," Yūma said, his voice steady. "The storm will reach us soon. We need to act."
Kaelen nodded. "We fight. We end this now."
Rhae, the leader of the Resistance, joined them. Her eyes were sharp, full of purpose.
"The Council is readying for the Inkborne Ascension," she explained. "They plan to merge all worlds into one — their world. They will control everything."
Yūma felt the weight of her words. The Inkborne Ascension wasn't just a storm. It was the end. The Council wanted to rewrite everything, to erase all that existed.
"We'll stop them," Kaelen said, his fists clenched. "We need to find their core base, destroy it."
Rhae nodded again. "We know where it is. But it won't be easy. The Council has been preparing for centuries."
The Journey to the Base
The Resistance had a map — the path to the Council's base. It was hidden deep in the heart of the Inkstorm, surrounded by corrupted lands.
Yūma and Kaelen led a small group, moving quickly through the ruins. The landscape was twisted, the world falling apart as the ink consumed it.
They fought monsters made of ink. Creatures with jagged limbs and glowing eyes. They were strong, but Yūma and Kaelen were stronger.
The Final Battle
They reached the base, a towering structure made of black ink. The walls seemed to shift, constantly changing like a living thing.
Inside, the Inkborne Council waited.
Yūma felt his heart beat faster. This was it.
"Yūma!" Rhae shouted. "We need to destroy the heart of the base. It's where the Ascension will begin."
They fought their way through waves of enemies. Ink beasts, dark scribes, and Council members. Each one was stronger than the last.
At the center of the base, they found the heart — a glowing, pulsing mass of ink. The storm above grew stronger, darker.
The Decision
Yūma raised his Inkblade, ready to strike.
"This ends now," he said.
But then, a voice echoed through the storm.
"You think you can stop it?" A tall figure stepped from the shadows — the leader of the Council. "You're too late."
Yūma's heart sank. It was true. The Ascension had already begun.
