With the sky still shimmering from the Veil Fracture, Kael and Riven stepped through the ancient gate beneath Heartbranch Hall. As it opened, light bent. The forest outside blurred, and time itself slowed.
They crossed the threshold—and the door sealed shut behind them.

They appeared in a glowing glade… but the world looked wrong. Trees floated. Leaves shimmered like mirrors. Shadows moved without a source.
Ethereal statues surrounded a central crystal, each holding a symbol:
• A flame
• A tree
• A wave
• A star
Puzzle: Place the memories in the correct order of creation.
Kael stared at them. "Flame… is probably first. Fire starts life, right?"
"No," Riven said. "Tree is life. Then flame, to test it. Then water to cleanse. Star to guide."
Kael nodded. "You're the brains. Let's go."
They placed the order—and the statues bowed.
The forest shifted.
Phase 2: Echo Beast Ambush
As they stepped forward, the ground twisted, and a monstrous creature burst from shimmering grass.

Kael's movement staggered. His dodge warped backward. Riven's arrows bent mid-flight.

Riven grit her teeth. "Enough of this."
She activated Hawk's Eye, piercing the illusion, and loosed a barrage of true-aim arrows. Kael synchronized his Dual Flashsteps, striking from four illusion angles at once.
The beast screamed—and vanished into shimmering dust.
