Twenty-One years later...
[ Breaking news: Double manslaughter rocks quiet neighborhood: A father and son lay dead in their home, victims of bloody shooting. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots ring out from the house.]
In a luxurious office, Taro, the head of Omnium Inc organization, sat behind his desk.
" How's the product moving?"
He asked.
His assistant, Kenji's right-hand man, came in, looking frazzled.
" Sir, we've got a situation. One of our...guests has escaped, and we can't track him down."
Taro's face became cold, " Find him. Now. Tell Kenji to search the street, leave no stone unturned. We can't afford to have anyone interfering our little side business. You know what'll happen if the higher-ups find out."
The assistant nodded. " Yes, sir. Right away."
" Get out!"
Taro barked.
As he got out, Taro's thought turned to the prisoner. He'd make sure to take care of him, personally.
Kenji's phone ranged, and he picked up.
" Kenji, boss Taro wants you to find the prisoner, now."
Kenji quickly sat on his motorbike, the engine roaring. He wore his devil red mask, the one he used for special missions. Gun hung at his back, and sword was strapped to his belt. He speed his bike, riding through Osaka street.
Kyuho ji street:
" Boss, Taro wants to see you."
" Okay, tell him I'm coming."
A masked man, Kaito, a dealer and Taro's right-hand man, sat in his hideout. A rich man, who'd tried to double-cross them, hung from chains, his guards beating him mercilessly. Blood stained the floor.
" Tell me, where is the case?"
Kaito voice was low, dangerous.
The man eyes filled with tears.
" P-please...it's not with me!..A man stole it! He...he..."
Before he could finish, one of Kaito's guards interrupted,
" Boss Kaito, Taro needs you now."
Kaito glanced at the man, who was now silent, his eyes closed. Kaito slammed his fist on the table that echoed the room.
Kenji riding hid motorbike, scanning the street. Suddenly, he saw the prisoner closing the road. A car screeched, and the prisoner's body crumpled under its wheels. Blood stain spreading on the pavement.
Kenji let out a groan, his hand clutching his chest as he smile. He pulled out his phone, and made a call. " Boss, the prisoner is dead."
Taro reply calm, " Good. Come back. Kaito is on his way."
The mask men gathered in Taro's office. Taro, the leader, his face covered with white wolf mask, asked.
" Where's Kazuki?"
Kaito, his mask a chilling shade of devil, replied, " He's at the hospital, working."
Just then, Kenji's phone beeped with an unknown caller ID. He picked it up, his hand shaking slightly. A raspy voice, " Do you remember, twenty-one years ago, you and your people killed a man and his son in their house? The son is still alive."
The voice abruptly disconnected. Kenji stood frozen and shocked, his eyes open in disbelief.
" What's wrong, Kenji?"
Taro demanded.
Kenji swallowed hard, " I just got a call...from an unknown number. He said...we killed Mr Bryce and his son last pass years...but...the son is still alive."
Taro sprang to his feet, his masked face in anger. The other mask man mirrored in shock.
" How is that possible?"
" I shot him twice in the head! He couldn't have survived!"
The room became silence as they were thinking of what to do.
7:00 PM
The bustling Abeno-suji avenue pulsed with life, a stark contrast to the silence of the hospital room.
" Master, Executioner," a gentle voice spoke, " Eat this food for me."
Executioner lay still, his white hair messy. The gunshot wound had left him num, unable to move or speak, his mind adrift in a haze of pain.
Bryce's assistant, a young lady named Sakura, carefully spoon-fed him. Executioner, once formidable man, but now a numbness being.
Taro's office:
Taro thought for a moment, then he took his phone and called Kazuki.
" Find that boy, Kazuki. search every hospital in Tennouji. Make sure he doesn't escape this time. And slip poison into the water connected to his IV."
After he ended the call, he turned to the two and said,
" Find me some fresh meat. Young, healthy, easy to control. We need new recruits.
The masked men walked away to find the teens.
Meanwhile, Kazuki was on the hunt for Executioner, the hospital a labyrinth of white walls and sterile smells. He'd been searching for hours, the building with every passing moment.
Suddenly, he heard a woman's voice saying:
" Nurse, the patient has moved! Come quickly!"
Kazuki turned in curious on his face. Could it be? He entered the hospital. He went to the washroom, spotting a doctor with his back turned, relieving himself. This was his chance.
Kazuki's hand shot out, silencing the doctor with a swift, muffled gasp. He went to unconscious and he dragged him to the side, his movement quick and well practiced. He took the doctor's cloth and put them on, even putting on nose mask. He walked quickly to the room where Executioner lays.
As he entered, the room was dimly lit, the air with the smell of medicine and the sound of beeping machines. A nurse and a woman stood beside the bed.
" I'll take over," Kazuki said, his voice disguised by the mask. " You can leave."
They hesitated for a moment, then obeyed, leaving Kazuki alone with Executioner.
He stared down at Executioner.
" You shouldn't have survived,"
Kazuki whispered, his voice cold as a wicked smile played on his lips.
" But I'll make sure you don't escape this time."
He pulled out a syringe, the needle glinting. It was filled with a clear , viscous liquid - poison.
" This time, is over," he muttered. He injected the poison into the IV drip connected to Executioner's arm.
Suddenly, Executioner's eyes moved and stared at Kazuki. His hand twitched, then moved, a slowly reaching for Kazuki. He saw the mask, the same mask he'd seen on the mask men that attacked them.
His eyes, filled with a strange, watery light, stared at Kazuki as he hold on tight onto Kazuki cloth.
