Chapter 55 - Chapter 51 – The King and the Monster

Location: Back Alley Near Hwayang High – After School

It was silent—too silent for a place usually filled with after-school noise.

The alley was cleared, as if the whole school knew something was about to go down.

Kang Hojin leaned against the wall, arms crossed, a cigarette burning between his fingers.

Hamin stepped into view.

> "You sent the dogs first. Now you show up yourself?"

Hojin exhaled slowly, the smoke twisting like a smirk.

> "I don't care what you think of my boys. You crossed the line."

> "No," Hamin replied coldly. "They crossed mine."

---

The Staredown

Kang Hojin wasn't just a gang leader.

He was a national boxing prospect, undefeated in underground matches.

Powerful, ruthless, efficient.

He hadn't fought in months—no one was worth his time.

Until now.

> "I'll give you one chance, Seo Hamin. Bow your head and leave this school."

> "Not interested."

---

The Fight Begins

The first punch came like lightning.

Hamin tilted his head, dodging by a millimeter.

Hojin's knuckles brushed his ear—but Hamin countered instantly.

> Crack!

A knee to the ribs.

Hojin stumbled back, smiling with blood on his teeth.

> "You're fast."

> "You're sloppy."

The next exchange was brutal.

Hojin's punches were like gunshots—each one aimed to end it.

Hamin weaved between them, eyes unblinking, studying everything.

He didn't fight like a boxer. He fought like someone who memorized every martial art and chose the cruelest parts.

But Hojin was a brawler. He grabbed Hamin mid-kick and slammed him into a dumpster.

> Boom!

Dust flew. Blood spilled.

Still… Hamin stood back up.

Eyes colder than before.

---

The Turning Point

Hamin's breath became unstable.

His fingers twitched. Something inside him surged—

> Thump... thump...

His vision blurred—then sharpened.

Blue. His eyes were turning blue.

His body moved on instinct now.

The next strike wasn't human.

Hojin's guard shattered.

His arm twisted unnaturally as Hamin's elbow crushed into his shoulder.

> CRACK!

One step.

One pivot.

One spinning backfist to the jaw.

Hojin flew back five meters and crashed into a wall.

He didn't get up.

---

Scene: Hospital – That Night

Kang Hojin:

Right arm fractured.

Jaw dislocated.

Multiple rib fractures.

Doctors said he was lucky to be alive.

---

Scene: Hamin's Room

He sat on his bed. Unconscious.

His eyes still glowing faint blue.

Outside his window, Yun Jiseok stood quietly, watching.

> "It's awakening. But he still doesn't know."
