Yamcha's true identity is that of a desert bandit. He can afford to buy some firearms and carry a couple of grenades for self-defense—sounds reasonable, right? His official cover, however, is as an Interpol officer. So, if an Interpol officer carries two grenades, that should also be reasonable, right?
Well, regardless of what others thought, Keicho Nijimura found it completely unreasonable.
"How the hell does he have something like that?!"
His eyes widened in shock.
Even if an Interpol agent carried grenades, that was way too extreme. Did the police in Neon Country just turn a blind eye to this?
"Are you freaking insane?!"
His instincts screamed to curse aloud in rage.
Then, suddenly realizing something, his expression changed drastically. "Damn it! Stop him!"
The confined space of the room was perfect for maximizing the strength of the Extremely Evil Squad, but it also limited their movement. Especially under the blinding light of a flashlight, their concealment was gone, and their mobility was locked down. If they encountered a large-scale area attack…
Worse yet, Keicho Nijimura had distanced himself from the window for the sake of dramatic flair, now standing in the center of the room with his back against the wall.
"Not all the conditions favor you."
With a wave of Yamcha's right hand, countless rocks formed a small stone wall, blocking the Extremely Evil Squad's advance. Then, with his left hand, he flicked his wrist, and two grenades traced a graceful arc through the air.
At that moment, Keicho Nijimura's eyes fixated on the grenades.
"Fire!"
He gave the order, but it was already too late.
Meanwhile, Yamcha grabbed Josuke and dashed out of the room at lightning speed.
Before leaving, he was even considerate enough to close the door behind him.
Then, raising two fingers, he muttered a phrase under his breath.
"Art is explosion."
"Ha!"
"BOOM!!!!"
A deafening explosion roared through the air, accompanied by flames. The door that had just been shut was blown off its hinges and sent flying.
"Is… Yamcha going to be okay?"
It took a while for Josuke to recover from the shock. He swallowed hard, his voice trembling slightly.
Although he had decent combat experience, he was just an ordinary high schooler until recently. His first real battle with other Stand users had only happened not long ago.
Grenades were way beyond his expectations. Now, he was really worried Yamcha might have been caught in the blast.
"No worries, no worries. Something like this couldn't possibly take him out," Yamcha replied casually as he strolled back into the room, stones floating around him as a precaution.
These grenades were the weakest model, barely powerful enough to break the room apart. They were just right for handling the Extremely Evil Squad without actually killing Keicho Nijimura.
Besides, as long as someone wasn't instantly killed, Josuke could always heal them.
"See? Told you so," Yamcha said leisurely, pulling a deck of playing cards from his pocket. With a flick of his wrist, he scattered them like cherry blossoms. Under the control of his psychic power, the cards spun at high speeds, turning razor-sharp.
Psychic power was an incredibly versatile ability—it all depended on how you used it.
The cards pointed directly at the heavily injured Keicho Nijimura lying on the ground. If he made even the slightest move, blood would surely spill.
Josuke and Yamcha were unscathed. Keicho Nijimura was gravely wounded. The winner was obvious.
"Brother!"
At that moment, Okuyasu Nijimura, who had been unconscious, finally woke up. He rushed over to his bloodied older brother in a panic.
"You're under arrest."
Yamcha had simulated this battle countless times to ensure nothing unexpected would happen.
And besides that, he had a Plan B.
If that failed, there was a Plan C.
Even if everything went wrong and all plans failed, Yamcha could still escape by teleporting away.
The key was to stay cautious. Keeping himself alive was the top priority.
Seeing that Keicho Nijimura wasn't dead, Josuke sighed in relief and stepped forward. "Why did you two…?"
"Brother…"
Keicho Nijimura glanced at his "genius" little brother, then sighed and said slowly, "Since we've lost and are now prisoners, there's no point in hiding anything anymore."
With that, he began to recount the whole story. Josuke finally learned the truth.
The reason the Nijimura brothers had been using the Arrow to create Stand users was all for their father.
Ten years ago, their father had chosen to serve DIO for money. As a result, a flesh bud (a part of DIO's cells) was implanted into his brain, turning him into DIO's puppet.
When Jotaro and his crew defeated DIO in Egypt, the flesh bud inside their father went out of control, transforming him into an immortal monster—hideous and completely mindless.
Everything they had done was in pursuit of a Stand that could finally kill their father.
A truly tragic tale.
No wonder DIO remained a central antagonist throughout the JoJo series.
DIO… what a sinful man.
That said, if Okuyasu's Stand, The Hand, could even erase space itself but still couldn't kill their father, then it meant their father was also a Stand user—though his exact abilities remained unknown. Likely, his Stand had some kind of survival-based power.
Keicho Nijimura's words left Josuke in silence.
As they all sank into the weight of the story, Yamcha casually tossed a Capsule Corp universal capsule into the air and started rummaging through it.
Because the battle was far from over.
The Nijimura brothers weren't the only enemies.
Now, the second phase of the fight was about to begin.
Crackle, crackle…
Small electric sparks flickered from the power socket in the room.
While everyone had been caught up in their emotions, those tiny sparks had been quietly gathering and growing.
Before long, a golden creature resembling a lizard with a bird-like beak slowly emerged from the socket.
A Stand ability.
Someone had been keeping an eye on this house—another person who wanted the Arrow.
This was Red Hot Chili Pepper, the Stand of ANijimura Otoishi, the mid-boss of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable.
His ability allowed him to travel through electricity, control electrical power, and increase his strength based on the available electricity. As long as he was in an electrified area, his stamina was nearly limitless.
He was a formidable Stand user.
Most importantly, he could digitize his body entirely, making him nearly impossible to capture.
His stats were ridiculous: Power A, Precision C, Durability A, Range A, Growth A, Speed A—a five-A-tier Stand.
In terms of raw stats, he even surpassed Killer Queen, the Stand of Nijimura Yoshikage, the final boss of Diamond is Unbreakable.
Not to mention, he even had better stats than The World, the Stand of DIO himself.
And once fully charged, his strength could reach a level even Crazy Diamond couldn't ignore.
Unfortunately for him, all abilities have weaknesses.
Let's see how this battle unfolds.
