Audrey thought that living life as someone's wife wasn't so bad. She thought like that until the news arrived that made her emotions explode.
After forcing the guards to take her to her destination, Audrey finally arrived at a sturdy building usually used for wedding events. Her quick steps brought her inside, opening the strong door, causing everyone inside to focus their attention on her.
"What is all this? You're getting married again without my consent?" Audrey approached her husband, was it still appropriate to call him that?
Everyone there also looked confused. Staring questioningly at this disruptive woman.
Before she could get an answer, Audrey grabbed a flower vase beside her. She threw it with all her might, and it made a loud sound. Audrey was angry, the sharp glare in her eyes made it clear. She just needed an explanation for what was happening. Her husband, Lewis, had once promised to make Audrey the only woman in his life. But what was this?
One man spoke up, "Count Lewis, didn't you say you were divorced from your previous wife?"
"Divorced? What do you mean," Audrey replied. Her hands trembled, her knees felt too weak to even step closer. This couldn't be true!
"Guards, take this woman away!" Finally, Lewis spoke. However, his voice and words made Audrey's heart ache even more.
"Let go! Let me go! Lewis! Stop all this! I need an explanation! Explain to me why you are doing this! Lewis!"
Audrey was dragged out. Thrown until she fell. Their treatment of her was so harsh. Before leaving Audrey alone, one of the guards said something. "We have finally found you, former Countess Bonde. You will be tried after this wedding is over."
Audrey frowned. "For what? It's Lewis and that woman who deserve to be tried!"
"You will soon be arrested on charges of using dark powers. You also attacked another person and almost threatened their life."
Audrey looked on in disbelief. Tears streamed down her face uncontrollably. Audrey felt weak, her health had indeed deteriorated lately. Audrey didn't know the cause, but it felt like a powerful energy was gnawing at her body. As if she were slowly dying from the inside. Knowing Lewis had betrayed her, Audrey felt her life was shattered. She no longer desired anything else; even death would be welcome.

Audrey gazed out the window of her room. Staring blankly at the front yard of her residence. Her body was weak, she was just counting down the moments before her death. The transport arrived and took her directly to the last place she would step. After the court sentenced her to death last night, Audrey chose to surrender and follow whatever was directed.
"Any last words, Ma'am?" asked a man behind her.
Audrey glanced at one spot, where Lewis was standing. Her heart ached even more as she realized her ex-husband's hand was tightly intertwined with the hand of his new wife. Ah, maybe Lewis had found a better wife than her. Perhaps in the future, Lewis wouldn't need to hide his wife like he did with her.
"I swear, this is the last time I will love you, Lewis. Live in misery." Audrey's gaze shifted to her children, whom she hadn't been reunited with for a long time.
Moments later, only the sound of blood splattering could be heard. Audrey's vision blurred, darkened, until it completely vanished. Silent and dark, as if there was no more life and only a dark void as far as the eye could see. Ah, this might be death.
Something in front of her displayed a performance. Clips of Audrey's life played in front of her. At first, Audrey smiled faintly, looking at how beautiful her life was before. However, the smile immediately vanished and was replaced by a gaze of resentment and hatred. She finally realized that Lewis did not truly love her. Audrey even just became aware that all this time, she was just being used as a secret wife. Hah, are you kidding!
After finishing her rant, a voice echoed around her. The sound was almost deafening.
"How about it? Is there something you want to fix?" asked the mysterious voice.
Audrey looked around. Searching for the owner of the voice. "Who are you?" she asked.
"No need to know who I am. After watching the clip of your life just now, is there something you want to fix?"
"Can it really be done? Hah, nonsense."
"Why not? Do you want to try?"
Audrey paused for a moment to ensure that what she was experiencing was normal or not. She never knew that a person could fix their life's mistakes. To be sure, Audrey chose to agree. Moments later, her body felt like it was being pulled so hard.
As much as Audrey's body hurt right now, her consciousness and focus were also snatched away. Her vision faded and then went dark. A glimmer of light soon pierced her sight. Forcing her purple eyes to open.
Finally, she could see something bright and colorful again. But where is this? Audrey woke up feeling strange. She looked around the room. Her room, Audrey even pinched her cheek to realize that this was not her subconscious.
Her attention was diverted when a tray of water carried by a servant fell at the doorway. It startled her a bit but also brought her to awareness. Audrey almost called the servant, if only the foreign woman hadn't immediately run away.
Although feeling weak, Audrey forced herself to rise. She approached the large mirror the size of her body. "Is this, is this real? Am I back?" she murmured, asking herself.
Audrey looked again at her fingers. Safe! There was no wedding ring, which meant that Audrey and Lewis had not met or perhaps, had not started a relationship.
"Audrey?" A familiar voice made her turn around.
"Dad?"
Jonathan hugged her tightly, as if they would never meet again. The man slowly let go of his embrace, gently stroking Audrey's cheek to make sure his daughter really had awakened.
"Dad will prepare a lot of food, you must be hungry, right?" he asked again.
"Audrey needs to rest, dear. Right?" This time the woman beside Jonathan spoke up, it was her stepmother.
Audrey almost nodded but froze when another man entered her room. Tall, his silver hair so clean, combined with golden eyes, the man's appearance was perfect.
Yes, that was also the important reason why Audrey had fallen so much in love with Lewis. A man of unparalleled perfection. However, given the second chance presented to her, Audrey would not fall into the same hole again. She was determined to break free from all the mistakes she had ever made.
Without having the chance to say anything, Lewis approached after running in quickly. He hugged her tightly as well, just like the hug Jonathan had given.
"I'm so glad you've woken up, Audrey!" Lewis exclaimed, sounding so relieved.
"Let go!" Audrey pushed the man away.
Everyone present was shocked by the harsh attitude Audrey displayed, especially Lewis. "Audrey, what's wrong? You look very angry."
"I said let go. Step away, everyone! I said get out!"
