Cherreads

Chapter 10 - 10

I haven't cooked for a long time.

Since I lost my sight, the kitchen became my forbidden area. Now, with such a rare opportunity, I couldn't help but feel a sense of heartache.

I packed all the dishes Jennifer Miller had made and put them in the refrigerator. I tied up my hair, put on an apron, and started washing and cutting vegetables, seriously.

The doorbell rang half an hour later.

Because our house has one household per elevator, the house type with accurate dialing, so in the absence of Jennifer Miller and Michael Smith, this became the safest meeting point.

Opening the door, I stood at the elevator door waiting for David Wilson.

The moment the elevator door opened, I looked at this comrade-in-arms who had fought side by side in the past, my eyes couldn't help but turn red.

We hadn't seen each other for almost a year, he was still tall and handsome, and except for changing his hairstyle, there seemed to be no changes.

But my life, in a short period of time, went through so many ups and downs.

Looking at each other, he was obviously sizing me up too.

Meeting my eyes, which were surging with emotions, his eyes darkened, and he suddenly raised a big smile at me and slowly spread out his arms.

"Long time no see, Sophia Davis."

After a pause, he said again, "Welcome back, Sophia Davis."

I was stunned, and the tears that I had been trying to control suddenly surged.

Taking a step, I hugged him heavily.

The tears surged even more, I desperately endured the impulse to hug him for a while longer, seeking more comfort, and politely let go of him after tightening my arms.

Wiping my tears, I gestured for him to come into the house.

Seeing that he was dressed in a suit and leather shoes, obviously having a social engagement outside, I was moved and couldn't help but thank him several times.

David Wilson should have come over from somewhere temporarily to help me?

Being helped by such a good friend, perhaps it was my only good luck after a string of bad luck.

Following my memory, I carefully made several dishes that David Wilson liked to eat.

After drinking half a bottle of red wine, I said coldly, "I checked my account these days, and most of my money has been transferred to Jennifer Miller's account by Michael Smith under various reasonable names."

"Under normal circumstances, Jennifer Miller should have spent a lot of this money, after all, there are many famous brands in her closet, but when I checked Jennifer Miller's phone, I found that the money in her hand increased instead, more than doubled."

"Even more interesting is that she didn't tell Michael Smith about this, but always complained to Michael Smith that her savings were getting less and less."

David Wilson concentrated, "You mean, Jennifer Miller wants to take all the money for herself and has another way to make money."

"Yes." I nodded, "I've observed her these days and found that after Michael Smith goes to work every day, she will chat and play games with a man, and also take some self-portraits of herself and send them to him."

"She is very skilled in tea art, and the man she cheated has transferred her a lot of money many times, and she also does some financial management, so the daily income is very good."

David Wilson narrowed his eyes and suddenly smiled: "You want to use Michael Smith's hand to get your money back intact?"

I laughed along: "That's right."

"But I need you to help me one more favor."

David Wilson nodded knowingly: "It seems that I also need to go on a business trip for a few days."
