Under the dimly lit night sky two figures clashed both young kids sparring to see who was better
But then they saw flames engulfing the forest bordering their village those two boys rushed to sound the alarm "we need to get there before the infiltrators arrive"
In the same village inside a hut bigger than the rest a old man was telling a story to his grandkids he had a calm expression but his still young body said otherwise
"And that is how the great war had end- "
"was there ever any villain that won " the little boy cut short the old man's word with his little sister sleeping sheepishly on his shoulder
"That's.... the second part the villain was merely captured as there had been no one capable enough to kill him he was locked away in mt.velskus.... but he escaped he vanished from that place"
"As if he was never there some say he died some say he still lives deep in the.... eight realm" then a loud bang was heard a deafening boon. the old man had a solemn expression he went out only to see soldiers gathering civilians running there was chaos everywhere the forest was engulfed in flames
The tall trees were reduced to ashes the earth itself shook due to the relentless marching of the army clad in black
The houses where set on fire civilians killed the old mountain village had a mere 200 soldiers though strong pales in comparison to the army that had nearly ten times their no.
A figure came out from the ashes wearing barely any Armor with only a sword while the person opposite was clad in black armour with red stripes and an emblem of a raven on the back carrying a dual edged sword
"Why do you want to break the long established peace we worked hard for" the old man asked
"What we created was not peace it was merely an illusion it doesn't matter if you die the people don't care they have forgotten you" said orshred the first hero
There was silence between the two but their silence was louder than the screams echoing in the village .
"You took an oath to protect not destroy" said kael the old man
"I am protecting this world new heroes are being chosen a new threat is emerging soon and it may or may not just be.....him"
"What does the village have to do with this" kael said raising his blade
"it isn't about about the village it's you...you are a threat to my future plans." Said orshred
"I should've killed you when I got the chance"
Kael said while slashing towards orshred
"And now you live to regret that "
He said doging the slash without much effort and carelessly blocked the upcoming attacks with his sword
"You can't kill me now can you" orshred said
He threw his blade forward and it got engulfed in flames and became a spear
"This feels right" he said slamming his fist onto the ground creating weblike patterns that spread out endlessly
"You became the very thing you ought to destr-argggh " he said as his arm w,as impaled
"No...I still protect this place all I am doing is for the better good of this place " orshred stepped forward
"You speak....just like him that monster"kael grunted
"Maybe...we are all monsters" orshred said
Kael put all his energy on the top of his weapon shooting a black and red beam
Towards orshred
"RUIGERD TAKE THE KIDS AND RUN"
"Yes..yes my lord " ruigerd said hesitantly
He immediately went inside the hut and grabbed the kids
"Ruigerd where is grandpa" he said half asleep
Only for him and his sleeping sister to be yanked on ruigerds back
"We need to get out of ..here" he said rushing outside towards the forest while being followed by shadows and soldiers distant cries could still be heard
He stopped on his tracks and slashed behind releasing a strong gust of wind.Hurling the soldiers backwards
Continuing forward without looking back
After what felt like ages he couldn't hear the footsteps it was quiet
A little too quiet"did we esca-" he turned around only for a sword to go through his chest
He looked he couldn't see anything except the distant fire that seemed to slowly engulf the entire forest
"Tch shadow soldiers"
"Run I'll find you" he said tossed them forwards with the boy though in mid-air managed to catch his sister
He closed his eyes thinking he was going to experience pain only for him to be levitated by a gust of wind
5 shadowy figures clad in all black from head to toe even their blades black appeared infront of ruigerd
"I've fought the likes of you before you are just...a lesser version of them"
The shadowy figures spoke nothing as if they couldn't speak they charged forward only for some of them to dissapear into thin air
Ruigerd closed his eyes
He let instinct take over his body
The slashed that seemed to come from thin air were narrowly doged as if they were anticipated
Each step seemed to carry aggressiveness but still peacful at the same time it was odd but a wonderful sight
Each slash of his spear took down one of them
"Will that be enough for you to run away or do I have to kill...you as well" ruigerd said as he couldn't feel the presence of the last one
"Big talk" the voice was horse as if he hadn't spoken in ages

Both figures clashed however one was desperate and one careless
"You have grown weak...you taught me this power and now you forget how to yield it" orshred said cutting one of the old man's arm
"Haah...haah I haven't forgotten I just don't deem you worthy enough for me to use it against you " said kael the old man desperately gasping for breath
