Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: My new path through difficulty

Deep in the state of Nunavut, in the Canadian interior, where temperatures range as low as minus seven degrees Celsius, a small town, abandoned for years, rose from the depths of the forest.

A town that had once been important for its coal mine and a large factory, was now nothing more than a place abandoned many years ago due to the difficulties of living in the area, causing it to be an area with human presence for more than an hour.

In a small house near the center of town, a four-year-old boy was walking, covered in an old and worn set of clothes for such a hostile climate. His hair was a striking soft pink, with a faint glow that gave him an almost ethereal appearance in the light. His eyes had a single pastel heterochromia, one a very light lavender blue and the other a pale mint green. His skin was as white as porcelain, flawless, smooth, and luminous, as if made of a fragile and precious material. In addition, he possessed some subtle features that made him appear more childlike, with a slight feline air.

- This climate is truly extreme - the boy said, searching through the remains of the home for something interesting - If it weren't for this small layer of aura, I could feel my bones freezing - the boy said in a soft, melodious voice.

The boy was the former elderly artist now known as Sotmis Mondisogni. According to memories obtained about two days ago when he was reincarnated, this boy is the son of a couple who died on a trip near the area where they currently resided a little less than a year ago. But the most important memory of that event is that it was the day this body awakened its aura.

The three year old's Nen had allowed him to withstand the hostile climate with more ease, but sadly being a child he hadn't given much thought to that peculiar sensation and had gained little mastery over his skill, only able to use a rudimentary Ten that had been perfected over time, currently in fact with two days of practice and the Nen manual he came across when he was reincarnated he had made some progress in building a slightly more sophisticated Ten and was attempting to learn zetsu currently with unclear results.

- The training is very different from my study in my past life, but it is necessary when being in a world full of creatures like Superman - Sotmis said calmly, searching the remains - I do not know the state of this world even with the memories I possess in this life, that is why I need to first try to understand how to find a method of survival in this environment and train, then I will think of other things.

- The essential thing to survive in this hostile climate is a shelter that is currently satisfied by using the old village factory that has a less cold climate than the rest of the village - said Sotmis finding a box with some things from the former resident - Next is food that is obtained by hunting and farming, but it is scarce, then follow the rest of the provisions such as clothing and fuel to keep the fire in the factory.

- This will do - Sotmis said as she gathered the clothes inside the box - They might work, and this will last for the rest of the day. Let's head back to base.

Grabbing the small box to carry the item of clothing more easily, she headed back to base. It turned out this area was once inhabited by younger versions of the Ghost Brigade and Pitou, who had arrived for various reasons.

It was currently created as a sort of refuge for everyone to stay alive, but with a peculiarity that had puzzled her at first when she took the memories of this body and interacted with them. However, she remembered something from her past life: Chrollo's past.

- This goddess probably took inspiration from the original and adapted it to this DC world - Sotmis said to herself as she felt the snow in her hair - I have to think about how to continue developing our bonds with them, since we're getting along well right now, but a friendship between children and their adult versions is different.

- I also need to continue training Ten to build a basic barrier that allows me to store the largest percentage of my aura so it doesn't go to waste - Sotmis said as he thought about what he could do - Zetsu could also be a good training.

- Also, although I know my aura type as a specialist, I should first focus on training the basic and advanced principles of Nen before beginning the development of my aura type - Sotmis said as he sighed, tired of lifting the box with his current body - I don't know what was worse, going back to the physique of a child or remembering what my old man's body was like when my health deteriorated to a critical point.

After a few more minutes of remembering and thinking about some other things, he was able to reach the main entrance of the factory. As he bypassed a small wooden barricade to enter, he paused for a moment after entering after seeing a familiar face.

A 1.08 meter tall girl with pale, almost white, hair with natural volume that falls in large, messy curls down to her neck; Her large, round eyes were a light red, almost pink, with dilated pupils; her pale, almost translucent, flawless skin, with slightly rosy cheeks.

- Sotmis is back - the girl said with overflowing joy as she ran to the boy with the box - What does Sotmis have for Pitou?

- Here, Pitou, pick out your new clothes - the boy said as he dropped the box, causing the girl to quickly sort through the variety of clothes Sotmis had brought.

- Pitou likes this one - Pitou said, pulling out a pink sweater with a cat print - Can I keep it?

- I know the others should choose first, because last time you chose first, but what does it matter? - Sotmis said, causing Pitou to give her an excited hug before running back in another direction, which she followed shortly after.
