Zhang Qiang, the calmest one among us, asked seriously, "So, you're really done with Li Yuxin?"
Before I could respond, Li Wei scoffed. "Of course he is. That girl doesn't deserve you. We told you long ago she wasn't right."
But then Wang Jie chuckled and said, "Don't pretend now. Weren't you the one who kept saying she was perfect for our Chen Yu?"
I looked at the three of them—my true friends—arguing over me. My heart felt warm. These guys… they might talk nonsense, but it's all for my sake.
"Alright, enough of that," I said, smiling. "Let's move or we'll be late for class."
We left the dorm and walked toward the lecture halls. As we approached, a random guy I didn't even know blocked my path.
"Chen Yu," he asked arrogantly, "how did you afford that car?"
I blinked. Who the hell is this clown? But before I could speak, my three friends turned to look at me, confused.
"Wait… you bought a car?" Zhang Qiang asked.
"You didn't tell us?" Li Wei said.
Wang Jie gave me a mock glare. "And you didn't think to give us a party?"
They all looked serious, but then grinned in unison.
"You better treat us, bro. We're going drinking tonight!" Wang Jie clapped my back.
I sighed in relief. These guys really are the best.
"Fine, fine. Drinks are on me—at the usual spot."
BUSINESS CLASS
We walked into the classroom. I was a business major, but until now, nobody even acknowledged my presence. Today, though, everyone turned to look at me, whispering and pointing.
I took my seat at the back. A few seconds later, Bai Ruxue sat down beside me.
"Chen Yu… is it okay if I sit here?" she asked softly. "I think your ex is looking this way. She might come over if I'm not here."
I smirked. "Sit. No need for excuses. You're my girlfriend now—do what you want."
When I said "girlfriend," her eyes widened slightly. She looked away with a blush.
He said girlfriend… she thought. He really sees me as his… I won't ever leave him.
AFTER CLASS
I checked my bank balance:

I've spent a lot already, I thought. Time to invest and expand.
"Ruxue, come with me," I said. "I need to talk to someone."
We walked toward Lei Meiyun.
"Hey Meiyun," I said. "I need a moment. Come with me."
She approached, graceful as ever. But her expression changed slightly when she saw Ruxue beside me.
"Thanks for buying from our store last time," she said.
"No need to mention that. I heard about your family's situation. I might be able to help."
Meiyun shook her head. "No. You've already helped enough. And if you give us money, my brother will waste it. It's no use."
"I understand," I nodded. "But what if I meet your father first? Let's talk it out."
She hesitated. "Alright. You said you'd help if I ever needed it… and I do now. He wants me to marry some young master from a rich family. That guy's notorious. I need your help, Chen Yu. Please."
"Don't worry," I said calmly. "Let's go meet him. And remember—be confident."
LEI FAMILY ESTATE
The estate was large, but the atmosphere inside was tense. Her parents sat in silence, worried. Her brother lounged casually, unconcerned.
Meiyun introduced me, but her father frowned.
"Young man, we're already dealing with too much. Don't waste our time. Meiyun, what were you thinking bringing him here?"
Her brother sneered. "Dad, I know him. He's just a college kid who won a lottery and thinks he's a big shot. Throw him out."
Ruxue couldn't hold back anymore. "Watch your mouth, brat. Chen Yu could buy you and your mouth with his pocket change!"
I gently pulled her back. "Easy, Ruxue."
Then I turned to her father. "Uncle Lei, I want to invest ¥700,000,000 in your company. But I want a few conditions met."
He looked at me like I was joking.
"I'm serious. Meiyun, give me your bank details."
Within seconds, a notification pinged on her phone. She showed it to her father:
¥200,000,000 received.
His eyes widened. Now, he listened.
"What do you want?" he asked quietly.
"Three things," I said. "One, I want 60% of your company's shares. Two, Meiyun becomes CEO and can't be removed. Three, her brother doesn't get a single cent of her earnings."
Her brother exploded. "You think you're some big shot—!"

His father smacked him across the face. "Shut up!"
He hid behind his mother, grumbling.
Her father turned back to me. "Draft the agreement. Meiyun will get the shares."
Everyone was shocked.
Meiyun teared up. "Thank you, Chen Yu… I… I don't know how to repay this kindness. No one's ever done anything like this for me."
I smiled. "Just do your best. That's enough."
With the contract signed and everything sealed, I left the Lei estate, Ruxue walking beside me.
