Chapter 10 - Chapter IX Terrorist Attack Part One

[POV: Hades]

This is all so... Unique.

The feelings that are being born in my heart are breaking my head in an attempt to be noticed and understood.

I have no idea why I spoke, I don't even know why I hugged her in the first place.

My arms moved against my will and embraced the trembling body of the girl in front of me.

Maybe it was because I saw small tears filled with frustration and suppressed anger at her own inability.

I don't know, it just... happened.

A cluster of emotions swirl in my stomach and make me feel completely dizzy.

My vision blurs at the proximity of Akemi's sweet lips.

Slowly his face approaches mine.

No... It's not just her... I'm also giving in to her presence and bringing my face directly close to hers.

My heart beats with wild intensity, my breath is suspended in an ethereal instant, and my hands become moist with a nervous tremor.

An incomprehensible heat takes over my face and my lower abdomen.

A relentless rain envelops our surroundings and bathes us in its cold and sweet veil.

I don't understand what's happening, I don't understand what will happen next.

Alone... I can let myself go and witness the end of this journey.

But a voice interrupted the moment, its simple words freezing us in moments.

—Ara... My little Akemi is taking the first step again at her mother's expense... —said the voice of Inko who, apparently, woke up some time ago.

The woman stood in the darkness of the hallway with a faint green aura dancing around her.

I couldn't fully appreciate her appearance, but her voice indicated that she was angry.

—Well... I can explain.

—Oh ho ho... No Akemi... There's nothing to explain, but... go to your room first. —he said, pointing behind him with his thumb. —I might... have to talk to your boyfriend.

—But mom...

—No buts, darling.

The green aura that I could see until a few moments ago fluttered through his eyes and gently traveled all over his body until it reached his hands.

It was a dance full of grace and beauty that permeated the entire room with its presence.

The beam of light traveled steadily along the path until it reached us, still frozen on the sofa.

A feeling of heaviness filled my entire body and left me completely immobilized.

But that wasn't all, as I could feel an enormous pressure around my mouth that prevented me from speaking.

Still, the effect didn't stop with me alone.

Since, the aura that once paralyzed me, fluttered gracefully and completely covered Akemi's body, making her levitate as if she were a feather.

-Mother...

"Shut up, honey. I thought I made things clear when we talked," Inko said, taking a few steps to the side. "Now go to sleep."

Her words resounded like a sublime decree, reverberating through the ether with serene gravity, and the aura, obedient to her charm, unfolded with reverent diligence, as if submitting to the command of its mistress and master.

And so, gently lifting her into the air, Akemi's figure vanished completely from my sight, like an ethereal whisper, as she entered the shadowy corridor that wound towards her room.

The sound of a door slamming shut echoed alongside banging noises coming from the now imprisoned girl, but they were completely drowned out by the crackling of raindrops landing against the walls and windows of this house.

But still, no sound was heard coming from his voice.

It was as if his voice had been completely muffled, just like mine.

—Now... It's just you and me, Hades-san. —Inko said in a seductive tone as she slowly approached me.

A huge predatory grin appeared on his fine features, and whispering hot steam directly into my ear, I was able to speak once more.

But I was still in a state of shock, lost and bewildered by his actions, to the point where I had no choice but to writhe in the depths of my subconscious.

—Why do all the green-haired women love to breathe in my ears!?

Inko, reading my expressions full of resignation and helplessness, spoke.

"I see my daughter has done the same to you, Hades-san," she said, moving slightly away from me to sit gracefully beside me. "Apples don't fall far from the tree, I suppose."

"But anyway... What matters now is the situation I found you in with my daughter," he continued, and lowering his gaze slightly, he could see a lump that only grew larger with every word that came out of his mouth. "And... About that problem you have there." A small chuckle escaped his features, causing me to lower my gaze as well.

Surprise flooded me as I watched the bulge grow in my pants, which explained the boiling heat beneath my skin.

-I...

"Shhh..." Inko interrupted, placing a finger directly on my lips. "Calm down, Hades-san. At first, I wanted to discuss my daughter with you, but now... I don't think you're in any condition to have a conversation like that."

A wink escaped his eyes, a fleeting flash that made my heart leap from my chest.

It seemed as if a charming spell had drawn me to the surface of ecstasy.

A lump of dryness formed in my throat, making it difficult to speak.

But even if that problem didn't exist, I didn't know what to do, I didn't know what to say, I simply didn't know.

"Let me turn on the lights first, Hades-san," he said, snapping his fingers.

The dry sound coming from the click completely illuminated the room in a faint pale yellow color, it was an illumination similar to that produced by seeing them.

And with that, I was finally able to see her.

I finally caught a glimpse of the mortal woman who, with delicate persistence, had intertwined her essence with mine, weaving her invisible threads until she sweetly bound me, leading me to surrender to the majesty of her being.

Her green hair, delicately gathered and draped over her shoulders, framed her milky skin with an elegance that contrasted beautifully with the rest of her features.

A deep neckline emerged subtly from the semi-transparent green nightgown she wore, revealing a glimpse of her mystery and sensuality.

This caused my eyes to travel all the way around his body like moths to a torch.

Her legs extended elegantly directly into my lap as she searched for her prey.

And a small smile appeared on the woman's features along with a proposal.

—How about I help you with your little problem first?

....

A few minutes later.

....

My legs, joined at my hip, shake with an uncontrollable tremor, as if a hidden power were shaking their foundations, overwhelming any attempt at calm.

The erratic breathing from a few moments ago is slowly returning to a more normal state as my heart tries to calm down.

The woman's smile persisted, like a whisper of love, while her tongue fervently licked the corner of her lips, in a gesture that spoke of the intensity of her passion and the depth of her devotion.

—You know Hades-san... Not a single word if you want me to help you again...

—O... Okay, Inko... —I said heavily, as I had never experienced such high pleasure before.

A pleasure that flooded every inch of my body, and left traces impossible to clean.

What's more... I don't think I've ever experienced pleasure before.

I still remember the hundreds of times I tried to do it with my ex-wife, the thousands of times I wanted to have a child but she simply rejected me.

There were always excuses not to do it.

I don't know why, but now I feel it..

I feel as if something that had been forbidden to me a long time ago is slowly coming back after this encounter.

"Now that you're calmer... How about we talk?" Inko said as she took my head, which had a bright green aura, and laid it on her milky thighs.

—What did you want to talk about...?

—Ho ho... About my daughter, of course... but first, tell me more about yourself, Hades-san. —she said, placing her delicate hand on my chin. —I'm curious about how you've been living since you told me you were a vagrant.

I nodded at his sweet touch, and letting out a last sigh, I managed to control my breathing.

—Well, I...

I tried to speak, but my response was completely cut off by a myriad of information.

They were events in the life of this body.

The memories I couldn't unearth are coming at me like an endless torrent, while a voice echoes in my mind.

"Tell him now..." the voice in my head said, as I felt a slight burning sensation on my tongue. "Tell him now!"

—Hades-san, are you okay?

—Ah... Yes, it doesn't matter, I'm fine. —I said while shaking my head slightly.

That strange voice still resonates like soft muffled whispers within my thoughts.

I closed my eyes slightly for a few seconds, and I could see, I could see the silhouette of a black-haired, extremely thin boy waving from the depths of my mind.

—I... I never got to know my parents, right... I don't even know if I ever had any in the first place. —I began to tell, while Inko looked worried.

She listened to my story with subtle melancholy, her eyes reflecting a sadness that seemed to dance in the echo of each word.

The expectation in her gaze was a silence filled with nostalgia, as if my story were a whisper of what could have been.

—I grew up alone in the middle of an alleyway, out of sight of everyone, and...

"You can stop now, Hades-san," Inko said as she slowly stroked my hair. "I guess it's still too early for that kind of detail."

»But... Tell me, why are you studying to be a hero?

—Well... I don't know.

—You don't know?

I shook my head at his last question, and swallowing slightly, I spoke again.

"I... I'm not looking for money, fame, or anything else you offer. I just want..." I closed my eyes as I took a deep breath. "I just want to prevent more children from having to struggle alone in the midst of the rottenness of this world."

Inko gave a warm smile upon hearing my words, and bending down slightly, she sweetly kissed my forehead.

—I'm sure you'll make it, Hades-san, just... Work hard, okay?

—I will try to give my soul if possible.

"Oh ho ho... Nice answer, Hades-san..." Inko said, adjusting her posture. "Now... Let's talk about my daughter."

A heavy sigh left my mouth as I was bombarded by tons of information about the Midoriya family.

The only redeeming feature of that was that she was once Japan's top 8 heroine, but had to retire when she got pregnant.

She told me a lot of things about her husband, but the only thing that stuck with me was that he was murdered by a man with two left hands.

I found that odd at the time, but at the same time, I felt a twinge of pity watching Inko's face wither at the bitter memories.

But, that feeling didn't last long when he cast a voracious glance at my entire body.

It was a little awkward, but I strangely liked it.

Aside from his marital problems, he also told me about Akemi.

She told me how she was withdrawn from contact with strangers, and preferred to stay away from the same mortal who harassed her.

She herself felt sorry for her daughter, she believed she had failed her, but... Akemi decided not to listen to her mother's words.

After that, she told me that one day, out of nowhere, he changed his slightly rude and shy attitude to a cheerful and explosive one that tried to spend as much time with her as possible.

That was strange, but, knowing that Akemi is some sort of reincarnation from the future, it doesn't surprise me that, the same mortal who made me feel unimaginable things...

Go die soon.

A strange feeling stirred inside me.

This was one of hundreds of new emotions I didn't understand, but, putting my problems aside, she also told me about the enormous amount of men's clothing Akemi owned.

Apparently her daughter likes to dress like a man even after being reincarnated.

I guess old habits die hard, even after so many years.

Beyond this, I don't remember anything else.

The amount of information he told me was as useless as the information Akemi gave me the night after the entrance exam.

...

The talk, which initially seemed to last only a few minutes, ended up lasting more than 3 hours.

And, no matter how late the night was, Akemi's knocking on her bedroom door continued to echo until Inko entered her room.

Upon entering, she canceled the greenish aura that held her daughter captive, and, upon noticing the release of her mother's quirk, she ran out as fast as she could.

She looked worried and anxious in equal parts.

But, seeing that he was apparently fine, she returned to her room as if nothing had happened.

And loud snores threatened to drown out the crackling of the rain.

Beyond that, nothing else happened.

....

[2 and a half hours later]

[Point of view: Third person]

The once incessant rain had finally stopped its relentless siege against the city, leaving behind a blanket of glass on the deserted streets.

With the dawn, the city slowly awoke, bathed in a golden glow that filtered between the skyscrapers and reflected on surfaces still damp from the rain.

The first rays of sunlight caressed the city's skin, awakening a symphony of light and shadow that danced on the cobblestones, and the promise of a new day unfolded like a fresh canvas in Musutafu's heart.

All was peace and harmony at the dawn of sunrise.

Every corner exuded new energy, ready to face a new day.

Well... Almost everywhere.

—Hades-san... Wake up... —Akemi's voice said as she poked the aforementioned man's face.

Her beautiful dreams were completely destroyed at the hands of a Titanic monster with freckles everywhere and wavy, frizzy green hair.

Hades could only snort in frustration as he opened his eyes and found himself staring into Akemi's face.

He just wanted to sleep after what happened last night, and this bug wouldn't let him.

"We have a lot of work to do today, Hades-san! So..." she said, using her Quirk as a cloak that covered her completely. "Wake up already!" Her words echoed throughout the room as she picked up the half-asleep Hades like a sack of potatoes.

—Why are you bothering me so early...?

"Well... We have something very important to take care of," he said in a disturbingly serious voice.

Hades snorted at the vague answer, and simply gave in, as he did so he was reluctantly led out of the house.

—We'll be back, Mom!

Inko, who was looking forward to the duo's interactions, could only smile and reminisce.

A small hint of sadness threatened to destroy the good mood he had built the night before with his guest.

Still, she decided to ignore the depressing thoughts temporarily while preparing breakfast for the new member.

....

"Okay, we're out of Mom's ears now," Akemi said as she touched the elevator button.

—Do you want to put me down?

"Isn't the great God comfortable being carried by a mortal?" the girl laughed, faking her voice to make it higher-pitched.

—Okay, why are you kidnapping me so early in the morning?

—I have to tell you something that is very important, Hades-san.

"But first, let's take a walk and explain the current situation to you," he continued as he entered the elevator and pressed the button for the ground floor.

Hades snorted at that and decided not to speak again.

The walk downstairs was completely silent as Akemi finally released Hades.

The vibrant orange color of sunrise permeated everything in its path.

A calm like no other fell over the pair as Hades looked expectantly into his partner's face.

His face expressed a mixture of sadness, bitterness and suppressed anger.

Akemi began to breathe deeply to calm the nerves she was holding back.

And as he did so, he began to take long strides against the wet pavement to warm up his lower body.

—There is... A terrorist group that attacked almost 6 months ago, do you know them?

"Tsk," Hades clicked his tongue as he recalled the day of his rebirth. "I was mistaken for one when I was reincarnated into this world," he said with slight remorse still lingering in his face to those people in ridiculous outfits.

And especially to the woman with bunny ears who dared to break his arm.

Akemi, on the other hand, held back a small giggle as she rolled her eyes.

—Well... You look like a terrorist.

—And you, you have a face like grass!

—Hahaha... I didn't know you could get excited about grass. —Akemi replied, winking at the confused Hades.

As the boy tried to find an answer to what Akemi had said, she began to trot slowly.

—Well, that terrorist group calls itself the Brotherhood of Steel, and today...

»They will appear and destroy Musutafu Shopping Center.

Hearing Akemi's prediction, Hades began to trot alongside the girl, as she was leaving him behind.

—And what will you do with that information? Will you warn those idiots in capes and ridiculous suits?

"Well..." Akemi said, staring at the floor with a deep frown. "If I did, they'd consider me suspect number one, and even if I made an anonymous call, they'd track me."

—That's ridiculous.

—I know, right?...

—Will anything important happen today other than that legion attack?

Akemi stops dead in her tracks upon hearing the question Hades just asked.

A light splash completely wets both of their shoes as Akemi breathes slowly to find the right words.

Hades, on the other hand, is breathing slightly tired, as he wasn't used to cardio.

"Yes... Today my mother..." she said, holding back a small sob that threatened to mar the whites of her eyes. "My mother will be killed by the Brotherhood."

Hades' eyes widened at the news, simply freezing in place as he stared at the downcast Akemi.

—Please... Help me avoid that fate... Help me save my mom...

The girl's face twisted slightly as she clenched her jaw tightly to avoid appearing weak.

"Tell me when those idiots will attack," Hades said, feeling an indescribable rage, even for him, that grew without limits.

—It'll be in 3 hours, and at that time, my mother will go shopping and she...

—Do you have a plan?

Akemi looked up and stood firm to look into Hades' eyes.

The purest determination emanated from his gaze and that pleased the ancient God.

It was a work of art to see those emerald eyes glow with such intense fire that Prometheus himself would be afraid to even touch them.

—I do, and now you're in the equation so... It'll be easier.

Hades nodded.

His eyes were infected with Akemi's determination, since, for nothing in the world will he allow the woman with whom he had such a magical moment for him, to be killed by the filthy hands of mere mortals.

—But first of all... —said Akemi, as she hid behind Hades.

This behavior seemed strange to him.

—What a face...

"Shut your mouth, Hades-san!" Akemi shouted, only to see a truck speed past Hades.

And in doing so, it raised a large curtain of water and mud that accumulated on the road.

All the water lifted by that truck fell directly on a stunned Hades, who could only receive the full load of water on his body.

Akemi on the other hand, by using Hades as a meat shield, was spared this accident.

Still, that didn't stop her from laughing.

—Hahaha... Thanks Hades-chan for saving me from the same truck that soaked me in my original timeline.

Hades, for his part, began to tremble from the morning cold and from an anger that only increased with each laugh from the green-haired girl.

And in whispers, he clenched his fists.

—I'll kill you...

—What did you say, Hades-chan? I can't hear you.

—I'll kill you...

-As?

"I'm going to kill you, you stupid fucking mortal!" Hades said, unleashing all the fury he had inside him, and turning around, he wanted to catch the girl in front of him.

But, as if she were a lynx, Akemi cleanly dodged her partner's charge.

—Hahaha only if you can catch me!

—Come back here, slug!

...

Their laughter filled the silent city of Musutafu, which slowly began to return to the routine of the new day.

The race they both took left Hades the winner as he summoned a skeleton in front of the elusive Akemi, and in doing so, Hades embraced her, sharing the wetness and mud that still lingered on her body.

Having her at his mercy, Hades began to spin around, making the impertinent girl slightly dizzy.

The laughter never ended as they both walked home with Hades now more... calm.

Upon arrival, they were greeted by Inko, who was shocked by all the dirt on Hades' clothes and how damp her daughter's clothes were.

But, she calmed down when she saw the huge smile on her daughter's face, and the almost imperceptible smile on Hades's face.

Still, he wasted no time in lightly scolding his daughter, as Hades had no change of clothes.

"Don't worry, Mom. I promised I'd lend her some clothes," Akemi said as she walked straight into the room where the shower was located.

Then, Inko looked up and down at the boy in front of her.

—I hope his clothes aren't too tight on you...

Time passed quickly, and Akemi finally emerged from the bathroom with a towel on her head and wearing a light blue tracksuit with a white t-shirt under her jacket.

"You can come in now, Hades-san," Akemi said as she dried her hair with a small beige towel.

Hades growled slightly and entered the bathroom.

"Don't take off all your clothes yet, Hades-san. I'll go get you a towel and find some clothes that I hope fit you!" Akemi shouted from the other side of the door.

After giving the order, she began to mutter to herself.

—Will any clothes fit...?

Time passed very quickly once again, and Hades was able to clean himself up and relax in the cool water of the tub.

As he left the bathroom, Hades saw the small pile of clothes in front of him.

Those were the clothes Akemi had brought her, since, if she remembered correctly, she wears men's clothes most of the time.

....

"This shirt is a little tight on me..." Hades murmured as he looked at himself in the bedroom mirror.

He wore a light but convenient set of clothes.

He had a dark green jacket with red line patterns around it.

Underneath it, she had a green short-sleeved t-shirt, and finally, blue pants that were slightly tight on her.

Hades took one last look at his reflection and slightly rolled up the sleeves of his jacket.

With these final touches, he left the room, after putting the dirty clothes in the basket that Inko showed him before he started bathing.

Upon leaving, he found the scene of the family of two sitting at the table while waiting for his arrival.

This was something strange, but comforting at the same time.

"It looks amazing on you!" Akemi said, giving me a thumbs up.

Apparently, the mother-daughter duo heard the bathroom door open and close, so they were eager to see it.

"Yes, that outfit looks great on you, Hades-san," Inko repeated, pointing to the chair next to Akemi. "Lunch is already served."

The food in front of him was comparable to a banquet.

There were several dishes to choose from and share, but there were also those that seemed to be set out for everyone.

Among the individual dishes, I could recognize the same bowl of rice from the night before, but this time, it was decorated with small black seeds.

Next to it was a portion of fish and another bowl containing a slightly translucent broth that emanated an irresistible aroma.

-Enjoy!

"Bon appétit," Inko said as she looked at Hades, who was still marveling at the breakfast in front of him.

Since their breakfast usually consisted of just mushrooms or some small fish.

"Bon appetit..." Hades said as he received nods from both women.

And without wasting any more time, the trio ate breakfast in complete harmony while sharing the anecdote from that morning, and explaining in detail the reason why they were dirty.

Inko was slightly annoyed, but let it go when she learned that Hades managed to catch her daughter.

"Well... I should go shopping now that there are some juicy sales," Inko said as she used her telekinesis quirk on the dirty dishes.

Her eyes were shining as she did so, but Akemi decided to interfere.

"No need, Mom! Hades and I will go to the mall to hang out, right?" Akemi said as she lightly hit Hades's calf with her own leg.

—Yes, Akemi asked me in the morning.

—Ara... Their first date... —Inko murmured as she smiled at the pair of boys in front of her.

Although, a slight pang of emotional pain suddenly appeared in his chest, he quickly ignored it knowing that his inexperienced daughter would have no chance with an experienced woman.

"So... Here's the list and the money," Inko said, levitating a small list of things next to what appeared to be a black wallet.

—So, be careful and don't get into trouble like you did this morning.

—Haha... Problems... Don't worry, Mom!

"Come on, Hades-san, come brush your teeth first; I think there was a spare toothbrush lying around the cabinet," Akemi said as she dragged Hades straight into the bathroom once again.

Inko watched their interaction with a small smile as she went in to wash the dishes using her quirk.

—So... Now that we've stopped Inko from going... What do we have to do?

Akemi ignored Hades' question for a few brief moments as she searched for the spare brush.

—The idea now is to do the same thing my mom did in my time.

Hades raised an eyebrow in confusion at what was said, but he didn't have any more time to remain in that state, as Akemi handed him a black toothbrush with some toothpaste.

"My mom... She used her Quirk to save everyone in the mall, and in doing so..." A heavy sigh escaped Akemi's mouth as she lightly dipped the brush. "In doing so, she exposed herself to those bastards' explosions."

Hades nodded and dipped the paste just like Akemi.

And repeating her same movements, both remained in a small blanket of silence.

—Now... The plan is to go to the mall and save as many lives as possible.

Hades raised an eyebrow, and spitting out the foam that had accumulated in his mouth, commented.

—Aren't they all supposed to be saved?

"Saving everyone is just a silly, childish idea that leads to failure," she said, her eyes slightly losing their characteristic sparkle and merging into her reflection, faint whispers coming from her mouth. "I... I learned that you can't always save everyone..."

Hades placed a comforting hand on the girl's shoulder, causing her to escape her daydreams.

—I'm glad you know, I've seen an unfathomable number of souls who died trying to fulfill that ideal.

—Me too... I've done it too, Hades-san...

"But this time, I won't allow history to repeat itself," Akemi said, raising her arm in Hades's direction and closing it tightly. "We will change the fate of this world by force."

"Big words for a mortal," Hades said, taking a sip of water to rinse his mouth of the minty foam.

—That means a lot coming from a God.

They both smiled at each other's statements, and left the bathroom together.

They didn't waste much more time, and after saying goodbye to Inko, they both went directly to Musutafu Shopping Center.

....

The building was imposing, a marvel of infrastructure unimaginable for the era before quirks.

"Do you know how much time we have left?" Hades said as he walked into the supermarket.

—About 15 minutes, but for now, let's go to the south entrance. There, the ringleader in charge of the attack will appear, and he's the same one who controls the explosives.

Hades growled slightly and began to follow the girl who looked very anxious and distressed.

It seemed like he was afraid of what was to come.

His fists clenched tightly in his palms, shaking uncontrollably.

His gait was hesitant as he looked everywhere trying to find something out of place.

But, this only made him dizzy.

"Calm your mind," Hades said as he took Akemi's hand.

His touch was gentle, but it wasn't enough to calm her.

—I... I'm happy just to save my mother, but... I also hope to save the civilians.

"Anxiety before battle usually leads to the destruction of an army. Calm your mind and you'll be able to face adversity," Hades said as he stood in front of Akemi.

As he did so, Akemi looked up and nodded.

Her breathing was heavy and slow as she tried to calm herself.

Hades smiled slightly, and tried to remove his hand from the girl's grip, since she now seemed calmer.

But a strong grip completely prevented escape.

"From now on, your hand will belong to me," Akemi said, unwilling to let go of the hand that had tried to comfort her.

"By what right?" Hades asked, slightly annoyed by the mortal's attitude.

—You're staying at my house for free, and you're also wearing my clothes. It's only natural that I require payment for all of that.

Hades let out a heavy sigh at the answer, which, while true, bothered him nonetheless.

-Hey...

Hades tried to speak in an attempt to express his discontent, but several explosions ripped through the premises, causing chaos.

Jet-black smoke filled the skies as the smell of burning flesh permeated the air.

But it didn't end there, as to the pair's horror, a large wave of fear-filled mortals swept away everything in their path, while their survival instinct made them ignore their surroundings.

"Shit..." Hades said as he saw the large crowd of people threatening to knock them down.

"Come up with me!" Akemi said, summoning dark green whips that emerged from her hands.

These long whips hooked onto a beam on the second floor and lifted us above the raging wave of flesh.

....
