Chapter 13 - EZEKIEL

I open the door and it is Tammy.

This better be important because she stopped a very important session. I don't know if Samantha will be open to doing this again. The sexual tension has always been there but neither of us have ever been bold enough to make the first move. I did not want to make a move because I respect her and also due to the fact that she is married, even though her marriage is nothing but a joke. I don't know what came over me today. I usually pride myself in my self control but this woman, Lord.

The control she shattered brick by brick with her smile, her presence, her attentiveness, her sweet laugh, her cute little sneezes, her scent. This afternoon, I lost it all. I could not hold it back anymore and I do not regret any part of it.

Her wanton face made it all worth it. She looked so ethereal when she was lost in lust. I had to take in all of that and wish the moment hadn't ended. She was so close. I plan to reward her. That is if she will let me. Samantha too is very shy but her letting loose today was even more arousing. I adjust myself as much as I can without drawing Tammy's attention to my down south problem.

I step out instead of letting her into the office. Samantha needs her privacy. I don't want her to be embarrassed over the fact that someone saw her in that state. I actually don't want anyone to see her in that state.

"You have a message." Tammy says as she starts walking down the hallway.

"From?"

"You'll see."

I follow Tammy down to the living room where she has a laptop open on the coffee table. She sits on a chair and I take the chair beside her.

The laptop is showing a video that has been paused and I am really not sure what we have here.

"So… what am I looking at?"

She hits the space button and the video begins to play. Then I realize that it is a camera footage. It looks like it is from the one on the street the incident took place. The video gets to the end and there I am on camera.

The video message has an attached message to it that says "He knows."

No shit, I know he knows, I know he was going to go snooping and when he did, he needed to find something, so I threw him a bait and I expected him to bite.

I click on the reply option and type "I know he knows, what is his next move?"

The reply comes two minutes later, "he wants to confirm if she's with you before he moves on with his plan."

"What is his plan?" I type back.

"To frame you for kidnapping. I think he is going to involve her parents now."

Well shit, Levi you son of a bitch.

I need to come up with a plan. And fast.

"What are you going to do?" Tammy asks.

"I need to first come up with a plan."

"Don't you need to tell Samantha first?"

I should. But I don't know if I want to. At least not yet. Not because of anything but I just want to have a solid plan in place before I tell her.

"I will. Just not now."

"Ezek…" Tammy protests.

"I will tell her. When the time is right. And it goes without saying that it is not your place to tell her anything."

"Right. I just hope you know what you are doing." Tammy says and takes her leave. Leaving me with the laptop.

I sit and stare at the laptop for a little longer. What is the real reason why I am keeping this fact to myself? I know why. But I am not ready to admit it to myself.

Just as I stand up to go back to my office, the office I am sure Samantha is not in anymore, my phone rings.

I take it out of my pocket to check who is calling and it is an unknown number.

I usually do not pick calls from unknown numbers but I really can't tell who it is this time especially with everything going on. I pick it up and put the phone to my ear.

"Hello."

"Ezekiel."

"Levi." This fool. I have a feeling that he is smiling stupidity on the other end of the line.

"I was wondering when you would reach out. Seeing as you breached our agreement."

"Wow. So when you say breached, you mean you don't have her."

"When I say breached, I mean you did not deliver her like you were supposed to. Semantics."

"So you mean to tell me that you did not take Samantha?"

"If you are trying to say something, then say it."

"Return her."

"She's not a thing. And weren't you planning to kill her?"

"No I wasn't. It was an accident."

"Is that the answer you want to stick with? Because according to your hitman, Emmett is it? That was not the case."

Levi's breath caught the moment I mentioned Emmett.

"Do her parents even know that she is missing? Imagine what the police will think. Your wife has been missing and you did not report it."

"I will get you for this." He says with shaky breath.

"I'll love to see you try."

I end the call before he can say anything else and as I lift my head, Tammy is in front of me.

"Are you going to tell her that he finally called?"

"Tammy…"

"Don't hurt this girl. Don't hurt her anymore than she already is. Does she even know that she's just a pawn in your stupid game of alpha male contest? She trusts you, shouldn't you tell her the whole truth?"

"Tammy, know your place. I will tell her. At the right time. Besides I am not lying to her."

"Half truth is a lie. Withholding information is also a lie and you know it Ezekiel." I sigh.

"I will tell her."

"Hmm." She says already walking away. "At the right time. I hope you know that this will come back to bite you in the ass."

I go back up to my office and true to my thoughts, Samantha is no longer there but her scent lingers.

I wonder if I am doing the right thing. I am falling for this woman. I know she will be mad when she knows that I really started all this. But I will not think about that right now. When we get to that bridge, we will cross it.
