Nicholas "Nick" Carmine honestly lost count of how long he's been a prisoner for sick scientists. Nick's former life wasn't eventful either. He had no parents and was basically homeless. That was until Atlas Soldiers captured him and brought him to a laboratory. For years, he'd been in the care of ruthless figures and was treated like an Animal. That was until he became a teenager, then the real torture began. The Scientists began forcefully adding Cybernetic augmentations. He had no say in the matter. Most of his body was turned into Metal, all for the goal of creating the ultimate weapon against the Grimm. A Super Soldier as they put it. But all Nick wanted was to be free from this suffering.
One day, Nick was taken and put onto a train that was sent to a Schnee Dust Company building in Mantle and it was that day that everything would change. Nick was currently chained in a cage that had no openings besides a hole on the door for people outside to look into the cage. The rays of light breaching through the darkness were not soothing or calming. Because Nick knew what would happen to him once they reach their destination.
But as he sat in his cage chained up, he felt the train come to a halt. They must've reached their destination. But then after a few moments he hears gunfire and sounds of battle. All of it was muffled by the cage walls. Suddenly, the chains around him were deactivated and he was free. Well partially. He was still stuck in the cage. He stood up from the floor of the cage and looked at the door.
Nick clenched his fist before he cocked it back and stepped towards the door. Outside of the cage, a number of AK-130's were shooting at two intruders who had stopped the train with some aid. Adam Taurus and Blake Belladonna. They came to raid this train for weapons mostly. But they didn't expect such a large security detail. There weren't many AKs left only Five. Blake saw a black box looking cage and figured something was in there.
Suddenly, the cage door is flung off its hinges and slams one of the AKs into the hall. From the cage, Nick steps out and looked around. The AK switch to their swords and charge at Nick. Nick used his right arm to swat aside one of the Robots before he used his left arm to do the same to another robot. He then kicked forward and knocked an AK back before he dodged a sword swing before grabbing the Robot by the neck and crushing its neck. Its head remained in Nick's hand as its body fell to the ground. Nick dropped the head. Blake and Adam looked at each other before turning their heads to Nick who started to walk towards them.
"Who are you two?" Nick asks.
"Adam Taurus, this is Blake Belladonna." Adam introduced. "What are you doing on this train?"
"They were sending me to a Schnee Dust Company building in Mantle to be unveiled as a new weapon." Nick explained.
"A new weapon?" Blake asked.
Nick looked at his hands. He then clenched his fists as compartments opened up on his arms revealing his Cybernetics. Blake gasped in shock as Adam's eyes widened.
"They turned me into half a machine." Nick said. "Against my will."
Adam scowled with hatred.
"Damn humans!" Adam said angrily.
A White Fang Soldier rushed into the train car.
"Adam! We have Atlas Reinforcements incoming!" The White Fang Soldier said.
"That was fast." Blake commented.
"Let's go." Adam said before looking at Nick. "You're coming with us."
Nick just nods before he followed them outside of the train car. Once outside, he felt a rush of cold air hit him. It was snowing hard outside, but visibility was still optimal. There was a Bullhead Airship resting on the snowy landscape and it bore the White Fang emblem on the side of it. Nick followed Adam and Blake onto the airship and inside were a few White Fang Soldiers. The side door closes as the pilots begin take off.

The trip to a place called Menagerie was long. During that time, Adam and Blake asked Nick questions and he answered. Nick told them who he was before he was captured by Atlas Soldiers and experimented on. He told them about his Cybernetic Augmentations and what he can do now. Blake was horrified to hear these things while Adam was livid. Everything Nick said only seemed to fan Adam's hatred for Humanity. Nick then asked them questions and they answered. Turns out, they're a part of an organization called the White Fang. They fight for the possibility of Faunus Equality, something that doesn't exist right now. The place they're going to is called Menagerie, it's the only place where Faunus can feel safe. They are taking Nick there so he can be safe and maybe return to a normal life. But Nick didn't want that. So much of him has changed, he can't live a normal life anymore.
He was made for Conflict; he was a living Weapon. He can't change that. By the time they arrived in Menagerie, Nick immediately felt a huge difference from this place to Atlas. One was cold the other was warm. He liked this change. As he stepped off the Bullhead, Blake and Adam guided him away from it.
"This place... it's peaceful." Nick points out.
"It's a place here Faunus from all kinds of backgrounds can gather together without fear." Blake explains. "It might be cramped and small, but it's home."
"And it's where you'll be able to live in peace." Adam said, looking at Nick.
Nick hung onto those words. Peace. A luxury he previously couldn't afford. He looked at his saviors.
"Is there... any way I can help?" Nick asks.
"What do you mean?" Blake asked back.
"I want to help the White Fang. I want to help other Faunus like you helped me." Nick said, determination in his tone.
Blake and Adam looked at each other for a moment before Adam looked at Nick with a slight smile.
"If you're sure you want this." Adam said.
"Working with the White Fang can be pretty demanding." Blake warns.
"I can take it." Nick said.
"Very well." Adam said before holding a hand forward. "Welcome to the White Fang."
Nick didn't hesitate and grabbed Adam's hand and shook it. On this very day, the world of Remnant shifted towards a path of uncertainty. Nick's true journey began today and with it, untold challenges.
