And the fix advanced into new territory. Fen cussed lightly under his breath. Followed by some words that seemed like a small prayer.
"May Sol rise after the Dawn... And give me power to deal with his god damn child. . ."
Tris roamed from room to room. – Nothing perked his interest as most just seemed like normal offices.
As he continued toward it, the fox ran into a metallic door! The lock was not a keypad, but similar to a phone's lock. You needed to draw a pattern with your finger connecting dots! Should be fox-proof... Right?
No, it was not. The bard smiled, taking out his phone and turning on the flashlight, making the light shine lightly from above as he looked from the side... Spotting the movements of the fingers with a grin.
He then turned it off and moved his hand to try the possible patterns. Nailing it on the first try! The door simply flicked open with ease. Allowing him entrance. – I think this was called trespassing. But not like he cares.
As he entered, the room seemed to be some kind of workshop. Dusty at best, it seemed frequented but not used. Almost like a lost storage room.
He kept moving forward. His eyes falling on the long desk to the side, which held peculiar runes, he understood them! Thanks to Fuka being around and whispering the answers to his mind, but they seemed rather messy. Like the type of notes only the creator understands.
As he kept moving forward, he ran into a weird contraption, seemingly made for cooling with water of hot material or steel.
His fingers moved into the air, white threads moved, and formed a small Silvery dagger. From the looks of it, he could create things with some larger ease thanks to Fuka's presence.
Moving it, he placed it in the water. Suddenly, two runes lit up at the bottom as a soft layer of thin ice formed around the dagger. . – Two runes he did not know. The first translated to 'Water' or 'Tide' for that matter. Combined with a second one meaning 'Freezing' or 'Frozen', causing quite a peculiar effect.
Tris smiled, taking the dagger out of the water. Looking at the ice layer dissipating the dagger as he was left with just it. Popping it in his mouth to melt with a smile.
His hands then moved, taking his Runic book from the bag, opening it he scribbled them down. Perhaps to experiment with them later.
Fen began following from behind, going in Tris's footsteps. Rather glad to see the office spaces were not destroyed.
The others seemingly left. Apart from Mina who kept following Fen, deeper into the office spaces. Perhaps also interested in what the foxes were doing.
And as such, Fen ran into the now open door blinking. He sighed and proceeded to just continue onward without a word. Not like he could say anything.
As they entered. They could just see Tris in the corner, scribbling over the peculiar contraptions.
"Please do not tell me you now know those two shitty runes-"
Fen spoke exasperatedly. This is why he kept this place locked in the first place. It held a giant amount of runes in its contraptions.
"Hmmm! I'll give you the bad news and say I have obtained two new ones!~"
The fox grinned, still scribbling in his book.
"How did you even get the thing to open the door... I swear I have not told anyone. ."
Fen blinked once more. Mina just smiled in the corner. Quite perplexed and amused by the situation the sly fox found himself in.
"Flashlight. Looked at the fingerprints and marks remaining on the pad itself. I did the combination first try. Sometimes you must redo it when messing up a letter. So the most deteriorated spot was first. "
He spoke blankly. Grinning from ear to ear. Quite pleased with his actions and discovered information.
"You scare me... Seriously. What are you going to do next? Break into my Instagram and post fox images?"
Tris slowly turned over to Mina, smiling sweetly. Mina looked with the same proud smile. Wondering what the fox had prepared.
"You know- Actually... I did see your email in the car... I mean what?"
Mina blinked for a moment, shaking her head. Tris cackled, seemingly happy with his own words, there was not much if any regret from those two.
"Bad Fox! Do not make me get a spray bottle. ."
Hearing those words, Tris blinked... He raised his hand, taking a look at his notebook, and just moving it in the air! Creating the 'Tide' Rune!
Suddenly a ball of water seemed to form itself from the air's humidity. He raised and THREW it at her! He was going to fully win this fight. No more regrets, no setbacks allowed!
As such, the ball made an impact with Mina's head, proceeding to just envelop it before breaking! Drenching her fully with the water! He just grinned and began chuckling. Mina puffed her cheeks up. He would probably end up regretting this later.
Fen just broke down laughing, he was with his back on the floor as he could barely take in breaths through his laughs. For a moment Tris contemplated stomping his chest right here and there. But the intrusive thoughts did not win! For now.
Mina was in shock, blinking at the fact that the foxy boy did it! She surely did not expect to be drenched in water today, so she once more just began laughing, following along. Seemingly, it was like a disease!
"By the way, I did tell you Summer vacation is ending, and school is starting Monday, right? I think I sent you a text- I know you do not keep count of days. ."
There was a small pause. The next person in shock was Tris! Just blinking a few times. Now, he regretted not burning that algebra book earlier that day.
"Fen... You realize that's in like. . LESS THAN A WEEK?! ITS TUESDAY. FEN, ITS TUESDAY. YOU'RE THROWING ME IN THE WOLF'S MAW AGAIN?! I AM GOING TO STRANGLE YOU-"
The man just began freaking the hell out! Blinking, his tail weaving itself back into existence, flickering through the air like he was crazy! Perhaps he truly was crazy.
Fen and Mina kept laughing at his little reaction, in the end, who would not? It was funny to simply stare at a panicking fox boy. Perhaps Mina was even considering grabbing and pulling his tail. But she knew that would probably be a death sentence.
"It won't be that bad! You barely moved into the dorms, there's a long way to get used to! Roommates and all! Will surely be fun for your anti-social ass!"
Fen said with a smile, knowing how much torture this meant to the little Bard. Simply getting up and dusting himself off.
Tris remained without words. He simply sighed, moving over and writing a rune in the air in front of Mina, controlling its output.
Winds moving around into the air as he hair was suddenly being swiftly dried by them, seemingly the runes also brought some ease of life for him. Tris just giving a pout, it was half a joke in the end. He was one to suffer, having the wish to stand alone in his dorm room.
But perhaps it won't be that bad! In the end, he could get a genuinely good roommate, or roommates for that matter. Perhaps some interesting ones!. . . What would the chances of being in a dorm room with some old magic world refugees be? Probably low, unless Fen messed around on that topic. . .
"Sigh. . . It won't be that bad. Right? I just need to find a way to pass the time! I am good at that. I think. . . I'll just make runes in my free time!"
Tris spoke, perhaps attempting to make himself feel better. The upcoming weeks will surely be a bit easier to deal with, but after that comes the hard part. He truly is not used to standing in one place for that long.
"You will be fine, we know it. Do not let it pester you too much. I will give you more runes to play with hmm? Sounds like a good deal! With your love to mess and experiment with them, I'd say there's no other more fun thing!"
Fen spoke, attempting to lift the Bard's morality by at least a bit. After all, he could not just leave him like that! It would have been rude, to take it as his fault for even mentioning it in the end. Though he did not regret it, it was funny.
"You have a deal, old man!"
The bard spoke with a grin, his tail brushing against Mina's hand, she was left in small awe at the fluffiness! It was adorable, and she loved it! By now if he wasn't that fast she would have eaten him alive! Would not have left even bones to remain from our poor fox!
Suddenly, a loud sound came from the bigger sides of the gym, making all three turn to the door, shocked by what seemed like. A scream?
