A new day started.A call came on a quiet Thursday evening.Raj had just finished stitching the new model of the wristguard. Uday was cleaning up remainingsfrom the floor while Zayed was trying to fold the same banner they'd used at the expo for the fifth time.Raj's phone rang. It's an Unknown number.Raj picked up and answered:"This is Raj."
The voice on the other end was loud. "Raj Pavan, RajCraft?. This is Mr. Arvind from Trinetra Cricket Academy. We spoke shortly after your match."
Raj stood up and replied:"Yes, sir."
"I have an official invitation for you. You've been selected for our Hyderabad Junior Excellence Program."Raj asked- "Hyderabad?"
"Yes. One month. Full scholarship. Training, fitness, and brand development seminars."
Uday's eyes got bid. Zayed stopped in the middle of floding poster.Mr. Arvind also said, "There's more,we're partnering with a youth gear startup initiative. Your brand "RajCraft" has been selected. We want you to attend not just as a player… but as a creator."Raj didn't answer for that. The offer was bigger than he imagined. But the man didn't stop talking."You'll need to leave this Sunday."
After the call, the room became quiet for a full minute. Then Uday said, "Bro".
Zayed said, "This is big opportunity."
Raj answered slowly. "I know."
That night, Raj didn't sleep. He sat on the roof, staring at the stars. The offer was perfect. A dream. But it came with something he hadn't expected.A decision.
Sunday was also the date of the school's Zonal Team Trials. The one Coach had been quietly preparing him for. The one where local newspapers would show up.He couldn't be in both places.
[System Alert: Path Split Triggered]
You must choose:
Option A:Attend Trinetra Academy – gain adv
anced system perks, brand network exposure
Option B: Stay for Zonal Trials – grow reputation locally, strengthen school bonds
Your choice will affect long-term storyline.
Raj closed the system. He didn't want to decide. Not yet.At school, everyone had heard by the next morning. They didn't treat him differently. They treated him like he was already took the decision to leave.Even the juniors. Some smiled less. Some didn't say anything at all.Priya didn't speak to him all day.But at lunch, she finally reached him."You are going?" she asked.Raj answered. "I haven't decided."
She said. "I heard it's big. Real big."He said . "Yeah."Then she asked, softly, "If you leave… will you still be you when you come back?"
Raj asked-"What do you mean?"
"You've changed a lot. But in a good way. What if you change again?".Raj looked away. "What if that's the only way to survive?"
Later that day, Coach called him into his office."You told them yes?".Raj answered "Not yet."Coach fall back on chair. "I'll be honest, Raj. If you stay, you'll probably top the zonals. People will know you. You'll lead this school's cricket legacy."
"And if I go?"
Coach answered. "You'll be thrown into a world full of sharks. But if you survive, you'll come out ten times stronger."Raj stayed silent.
"Whatever you choose," Coach said, "just remember who you are when no one's watching."
That evening, Priya walked past the school gate. She saw her again. The girl in yellow.Same braid. Same quiet smile. This time, she wasn't sitting. She was waiting.Priya stopped. "You know he's leaving, right?".The girl didn't blink. "Not yet."
Priya asked."How are you so sure?".The girl turned and replied.
"Because he never runs from anything. He just walks toward what hurts the least."
To be continued...
So which option will Raj choose? Guess it..
