Chapter 6 - Chapter 5 – Hunter’s Eyes

Gabriel came back from preschool around 3 PM. He was tired, but there was a spark in his eyes. Inside his backpack, he carried a plastic ball he'd gotten from the lady at the front desk. It wasn't anything fancy, but enough to train with at home.

After a shower, he spent the rest of the afternoon drawing plays on notebook paper and kicking the ball against the wall in his room — always trying to predict how it would bounce, where it would land. Without realizing it, he was already practicing.

Night fell silently, as if the world outside knew something important was about to happen.

Gabriel had dinner with Eliena — rice, ground beef, and fries — then brushed his teeth with his Spider-Man toothbrush. Camila, his older sister, had already returned from school and helped him pack his backpack for the next day. Between laughs and a quick head pat, she said "good night, little pest" before disappearing into her room.

In bed, eyes half-open, Gabriel stared at the white ceiling. The memories of the day jumped in his mind like flashes: the dribbles, the vision of the inner monster, the feeling of growth…

But he knew: this was just the beginning.

Then, the world went black.

As if pulled by an invisible force, Gabriel plunged into a deep void — no sound, no scent, no touch — until he heard that familiar voice.

["It's time to truly open your eyes."]

He found himself on a completely white soccer field. No crowd, no painted lines. It was like a dream field — infinite, clean, and silent.

Before him stood the tall silhouette of a man with glasses, hands in his pockets, eyes piercing.

["Welcome to the guided training, Gabriel. Today, we'll activate your most powerful weapon: Meta-Vision."]

[Special Training Initiated: Meta-Vision – Rank E, Level 1][+10 QI temporarily activated]

Gabriel swallowed hard, but stepped forward.

— "What do I have to do?"

["You've watched Blue Lock. So you know what it means to see the field like a strategist. But this... this isn't anime. This is real. You have to see not just what's happening... but what will happen."]

Suddenly, five players appeared on the white field. They moved with the ball, as if playing a real match. Every movement was detailed — precise passes, intense runs.

["Watch."]

Gabriel's eyes lit up.

Lines began to appear around the players — possible routes, pressure zones, pass probabilities, marking triangles. His brain felt like it was on fire.

["This is Meta-Vision. Your mind calculates the present to predict the future. But with Rank E, Level 1, you can only see up to three seconds ahead. And only for two players at a time."]

Gabriel's eyes widened. Even so… it was incredible.

— "And how do I improve this?"

["Training. Matches. Defeats. Mistakes. Every inch of your evolution will be earned. But I'll guide you."]

The scene reset. The same play, but now Gabriel had to act.

[You have three seconds. Move to where the ball will be.]

He watched. The right-side attacker ran diagonally. The midfielder dropped back. The ball was coming in a vertical pass.

'There.' — Gabriel ran, heart pounding, and intercepted the pass before it even happened.

[Mini-challenge complete: Anticipated Reading][+1 QI | +1 Proficiency: Meta-Vision (Level 2)]

Gabriel fell to his knees, panting. He didn't feel physical pain — it was a mental simulation — but his brain felt like it was burning.

["You're using your cerebral weapon. And your body is still that of a child. So…"]["Avoid overloading. Use it wisely. In real matches, you'll feel the physical effects."]

[Temporary Attribute Update:]

Speed: 10

Stamina: 10

Strength: 10

Dexterity: 12 (+2 from training, +10 from Instinctive Dribble)

QI: 32 (20 base +10 Meta-Vision +1 bonus +1 evolution)

Gabriel felt proud.

But then, another voice echoed.

[Ego System – Mission Unlocked: "The Game of Invisible Lines"][Objective: Anticipate 3 moves during your next real match.Reward: +2 QI | +1 Proficiency: Meta-Vision]

["Wake up, Gabriel. Your next battle begins tomorrow."]

The vision vanished like smoke. Gabriel woke up in bed, the first rays of sunlight touching his window. The clock in the living room read 6:02 AM. His body still felt the white field, the routes, the calculations.

He smiled.

'So this is my superpower…'

He got up calmly. The world was no longer the same. And neither was he.
