Jamie was walking down the read looking through alleyways trying to find his way to a Brothel to have some fun.
"Ughh, where the hell is this place? I can't find it." He was annoyed now.
"Come to think of it, I totally forgot to buy one of those skills." He was suprised that he didin't think of somethink like that.
"System is there a abilitythat allows me to sense the area around me on a large scale?" He totally forgot about a sense ability. He always knew all those things he read in novels and manhua back on earth might be real here too along with the stuff the System can do.
Jamie naturally thought of some abilities he wanted to check from the system to see if they existed and one of thos e abilities was the SENSE ability. In every story he read so far the main character always had a overpowered sensing ability that surpasses the others. So why not have one for himself.
"[SENSE] GRADE 6 ABILITY - 800 000 SP" System voiced in his head.
"so it really do exist huh, well that's not much of a surprise." He thought.
Mages also has the ability to sense the space around them. But only Sovereign Realm Mages and those above get this power.
"Buy it." he said not sparing any time.
"ABILITY PURCHASED."
[SENSE] - GRADE 6 LOW RANK ABILITY (Can sense 500 meter radius around the user without being noticed by others. 5 Mana points consumed per hour the ability is activated.)
Jamie activated [SENSE] and the moment he did he felt his mind going away from his body onto the sky and it felt like he was wayching the 500 meter area around him from the sky like a eagle not missing a single detail. Be it people or non living objects, He could see them all ina different manner.
'This is awesome. This ability is much more useful to me.' Jamie thought inwardly.
He already found the brothel he was looking for it was not far from him. But he found something else unexpectedly.
Jamie could sense a man lying on the ground using a wall for his support in two alleyways before him. He seems to be badly injured.
Jamie's habits from earth didn't disappear that quickly as he thought so the moment he sensed him he ran toward him wanting to help him.
He arrived at the narrow pathway. That place isn't even alleyway it was hard even for a few people to pass through.
Jamie saw the man he sensed a while ago at the end of the pathway supporting his back to the wall.
"Are you okay?" he asked getting closer to him.
Only after he got a bit more closer to the person did Jamie finally saw him clearly.
The person lying down did have the characteristics of a human but he had some otherworldy sense of aura around him, like he didn't belong to this world. He had two golden horns on his forehead.
'He's not human !!, Is he a.. dragon?' Jamie thought.
This is the first time jamie met a being from another race. So he was a little lost.
"Hey, are you okay?" Jamie asked again squatting down to touch him.
The man slowly raised his head and looked at Jamie. Right side of chest seems to be peirced by something and he had blood all over his body.
"Can you speak.., what the hell should i do?" Jamie panicked because this is the first time he got into something like this.
"What's the point of all that if i'm going to die right now" The man spoke softly with a mocking smile on his face.
"What ?" Jamie heard hat he said.
"Do you know anyone here, should i ask them to come here" He asked from the man.
"I don't have any healing pills or anything. Just stay here i'll go get help quickly" He was going to ask someone for help to save this man but the man suddenly reached out his arm and grabbed Jamie's wrist.
He looked into his eyes and said "You can't save me kid, i don't know why you came here and now trying to help me. Most people would just run away when another race being was found out on another continent."
He continued,
"this could be a coinsidence or this could be fate. So be it i'll give it to you, I'm not even worthy to use this in the first place."
Jamie didn't know what the hell this man was speaking about so he just listened to him for now.
The man who's now identity is clear as a dragon moved his hands in a certian pattern like making a seal and,
whhosh!! A bright golden light came out suddenly and Jamie could only close his eyes not being able to look at it.
"What is this!!" after a while Jamie opened his eyes and looked at the first like golden core made out of somekind of energy just floating on the dragon's hand.
That energy looked like something so pure and Jamie felt like kneeling in front of it and worshipping it.
But he suddenly came out of his revere and glanced at the dragon cautiously.
The dragon looked at the golden energy core in his hand with a mixture of anger,greed and sadness.
"all of that for this one thing which no one can ever hope to control. what's the point!! HAHA..." He spoke coughing out blood.
"What is that what do you want to do?" Jamie got up and moved back a little out of fear not knowing what would happen now.
"You're cautious, Good!. If you were just a naive little kid who only think of good will it will be troublesome to keep your life for long in this cruel world." The dragon said looking at Jamie's eyes.
"Kid.. you can't save me i'm going to die no matter what. The meeting between the two of us must be destiny or it could be just a coinsidence. But whatever the case i want you to have it." he said
"This is something that the people at the very peak of this world greedily looking for but no matter what they can't control this and neither can i control it" The dragon continued,
"I want you to keep this with you, or someone else might take it away when they find me anyway. What i want is to never let any of those people i mentioned to not have this. To despair in lost!! that's what i want. now take it, If you value your life don't take this out to show it to people unless you're strong enough to stand with the people at the peak of this world"
"But even if you're as strong as them you still won't survive hahah... look at me. Look at my state." He pointed at himself with a self depreciating smile.
Jamie was flabbergasted right now he knew this man must be a very powerful person if he speaks about the strongest people in this world.
Without saying anything the dragon waved his hand and the golden energy ball floated toward Jamie and he moved back in surprise but the Energy ball suddenly flew toward him like it was attracted by a magnet into Jamie's body and disappeared.
This made the dragon widened his eyes in horror. He looked at Jamie like he's seeing a ghost.
"WHAT!!! How did you do that. Who are you."
"What's your name?"
"did you come here knowingly?"
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?" The dragon asked so many questions.
Jamie himself was shocked that energy did enter his body but he doesn't feel a thing after it entered his body, he thought something might happen but nothing did happen at the end.
The dragon breahted out his last breath but he was still shocked, his eyes still widened looking at Jamie in shock.
The poor guy's body started burning in golden flames until it turned into ash and disappeared into thin air.
"WHAT IN THE FUCK HAPPENED. I SHOULDN'T HAVE COME HERE SEEKING PLEASURE..." Jamie didn't know what to do anymore, he just stood there like a stone still processing the things that happened so quickly.
What he didn't know is today's encounter will be a very important thing to Jamie in the future on a certain day.
