Kakashi:

I've said before—Naruto was publicly recognized as the Nine Tails Jinchūriki, but the fact that he was the Fourth Hokage's son was deliberately withheld.

He also lived through the Nine Tails Rebellion. Since then, the villagers have rejected him, unable to separate him from the trauma caused by Kurama.

Though Naruto was merely the host, the hatred meant for the Nine Tails was redirected onto him.

So even though he grew up among them, the villagers never truly accepted him.

He suffered ostracization. He was bullied.

And this is how it was expressed—

Trash would be thrown at his doorstep.

Vicious messages would be written on his walls.

His attempts to transform and disguise himself just to shop at the market—those weren't pranks. It was the only way he could get people to serve him.

Vendors refused to sell him food.

This kind of damage… it's far too much for a child to bear.

Namikaze Minato:

Senju Tobirama:

Namikaze Minato:

I need time to calm down.

I knew being a Jinchūriki would be hard… but I didn't expect this.

My wife, Uzumaki Kushina, was the previous Nine Tails Jinchūriki.

What I experienced during her time as host was Shinobi villages constantly scheming to abduct her. But she was strong—she endured.

So why did Naruto end up like this?

No.

Maybe that's exactly why…

After the Nine Tails Rebellion, Konoha lost countless lives. Entire clans suffered.

And all that grief… was projected onto Naruto.

Even though he was just a boy—cute, innocent—he couldn't receive the acknowledgment he deserved.

Worse, the taint of Kurama's chakra influenced his behavior, making him impulsive. This led others to call him a failure—the dead last.

Everything was stacked against him.

Namikaze Minato:

Could it be… that no one saw the Chakra imprint I left inside Naruto? The one meant to protect him?

Minato remembered the security measure he placed inside Naruto—the Chakra fragment that should've activated if the seal weakened.

But Kitahara Hitoshi had just entered Naruto's consciousness and undone the seal with no resistance.

Nothing blocked him.

Why?

Namikaze Minato:

No… that means when Kitahara-kun entered Naruto's subconscious, the protective Chakra I left behind didn't react.

And that's likely because…

He saw Naruto's entire life—his isolation, the neglect, the pain.

He didn't need to break the seal maliciously—he was still the Fourth Hokage's successor.

Was I wrong?

Senju Tobirama:

Hashirama (Big Pillar Hanhan):

Hashirama, ever the emotional one, didn't know how to comfort Minato either.

From what Minato revealed, although the next generation of Hokage weren't as strong, their will of fire was still being passed on.

Even if it meant dying to protect the village.

And Minato had done exactly that.

Hashirama could subdue the Nine Tails with his Wood Release and the True Several Thousand Hands technique, but Minato couldn't.

Still, he gave his life—used the Reaper Death Seal to divide Kurama in half, giving one portion to Naruto, the other to the Shinigami.

All to protect Konoha.

But the result of that sacrifice…

It made Hashirama feel ashamed.

Senju Tobirama:

Senju Tobirama:

Minato, I understand you're overwhelmed right now, but please—just calm yourself for three minutes and hear me out.

Three minutes.

Senju Tobirama:

Let's start from the top. The current Hokage is still the Third Hokage—Sarutobi Hiruzen, right?

@Kakashi?

Namikaze Minato:

Yes.

Senju Tobirama:

So… since Sarutobi is the one in charge, and you've heard his reasons, you've reluctantly accepted them, haven't you, Minato?

Namikaze Minato:

…Yes.

Minato answered. His tone indicated that this truly was a brief moment of clarity.

If Tobirama failed to convince him within these three minutes… the emotional dam would burst.

Senju Tobirama:

Sarutobi chose not to reveal Naruto's lineage because of wartime necessity. The Nine Tails Rebellion had just claimed many lives and weakened our forces. Concealing Naruto's identity was a way to maintain stability.

Namikaze Minato:

I understand that.

Senju Tobirama:

And keeping Naruto's identity hidden didn't mean it would be hidden forever.

At the very least, it would be revealed once Naruto had the strength to protect himself.

So Minato, no matter how painful it is… I'm asking you to give Sarutobi a little more time.

Terumi Mei (Mizukage Candidate):

Then couldn't someone have been assigned to guard Naruto?

Even if his identity as the Fourth Hokage's son wasn't disclosed, he could've been raised like a precious child, a ward of the Hokage line.

Wouldn't that have been enough?

Terumi Mei:

He could've been treated like Sarutobi's own grandson.

Terumi Mei:

So why did the Third Hokage let Naruto live alone?

Terumi Mei:

That's nothing but neglect. He didn't even stand behind the boy.

Senju Tobirama:

Ah—Mizukage, enough!

Tobirama was startled.

She was… right.

If Sarutobi had been more generous, if he'd stepped in to guide Naruto, treated him like family—none of this would've happened.

And the village?

They wouldn't have dared to scorn Naruto so openly if they knew the Hokage stood behind him.

So then… why didn't Sarutobi do it?

Senju Tobirama:

Minato, regardless of what's happened, I ask that you hold on a little longer.

Let me believe in Sarutobi one more time. After all, he was the one I chose to succeed me.

I've always had a good eye.

Namikaze Minato:

Namikaze Minato:

Namikaze Minato:

Minato didn't respond. His silence was heavy, as though he were trying to contain the flood within him.

But Tobirama knew Minato's character—measured, composed.

He was listening.

Because—

Senju Tobirama:

Naruto is okay now.

Senju Tobirama:

He's met Kitahara Hitoshi. He's made a friend in Sasuke.

Senju Tobirama:

And Kakashi will look after him.

@Kakashi. Isn't that right?

Kakashi:

Ah… Of course. I'll do my best.

Kakashi:

I wasn't aware before. But now… I'll do everything I can.

Kakashi responded quickly.

He could feel it—the Second Hokage was doing everything he could to rebuild what had crumbled.

Even if he had to single-handedly bear the weight of Minato's pain.

Even if it meant hiding the truth.

Because the village still needed peace.

Tick!]

[Due to the low number of members, a new person has been added to the group chat.]

[Welcome, the Blue Beast of Konoha!]

[@Might Guy, say something to everyone!]

[Your good friend Kakashi is already here!]

[Congratulations, Might Guy! You've been given the special title – Kakashi's Good Friend]

Kakashi's Good Friend:

Huh?!

Ha! Kakashi, I see you!

And… this isn't some Genjutsu, is it?

Kakashi:

Kakashi froze upon seeing Might Guy added to the chat.

Then quickly realized—

He had to stop Guy from blurting out anything outrageous.

But—

Kakashi's Good Friend:

Eh?!

Wait… who is that?

Uchiha Sasuke? No, this one looks older…

A senior from the Uchiha clan?

But weren't they all wiped out?

Kakashi:

Great. That's it.

There goes the last bit of subtlety.

And now… the Second Hokage's going to blow a gasket too.

Kakashi braced himself.
