The morning sun rised as the sunlight entered into the tower of a certain professor.
The rays of the sun hit just right, highlighting the professors toned abs and muscles as he layed absent mindedly on the bed.
"The plot starts today huh?" Alaric rubbed his eyes before getting up from the bed and approaching the window.
A long line stretching hundreds of applicants had lined up at the academy gate as they waited for the entrance examination to start.
Alaric furrowed his brows before looking at the pocketwatch on the table next to him.
"Oopsie, might've slept through an alarm or two. Teehee" Alaric smiled before looking at himself in the mirror.
"What's cooking good looking,Heh what do you think we should wear on our first day, king?" Alaric rubbed his chin before finally deciding.
'might as well go in decked out.'
Alaric snapped his fingers as the clothes he had neatly folded on the table magically appeared on him.
"And for the final touches." Alaric took out a red velvet hat that had a feather sticking out of it from his sub-space.
"Eh, good enough." Alaric smiled while looking at his signature all red outfit.
'Sigh this is gonna be boring.' Alaric closed the door and made his way to the academy gate. On the way he saw Marius teaching advanced magic theory to a group of third year students.
'now now isn't that interesting?' Alaric smirked as he walked towards the classroom.

"So as explained in yesterday's lecture the fifth grade circle for the spell thunder gale requires two different sets of runes one for stabilizing and forming a connection between the thunder and wind elements."
Marius continued explaining while writing down the main points on the blackboard.
"As for the second rune, it channels your mana directly into the first rune. If the configuration of the first rune is incomplete or inefficient, the quality of the spell will be inversely effected." Marius continued before drawing the magic circles for Thunder Gale.
"Any questions so far?"
One of the students raised his hands.
"Yes, jonathan."
"But sir, is the addition of a second rune really necessary? By chanelling mana into the first circle we c-"
As he spoke the door barged open as Alaric burst through.
"Apologises but due to unforeseen unforeseen circumstances professor Marius's presence is currently required. Your professor will resume his duties tomorrow. You can take rest of the class as free." Alaric spoke in a stoic and emotionless tone.
"Alaric, what is this about?" Marius frowned before keeping the book on his hand back on to the table.
Seeing Alaric staring him in the eye without saying a word Marius finally gave in before leaving the classroom with him.
'this better be worth my time.'
Alaric's shoulder softened and a smile returned to his face as he finally went back to his childish demeanor.
"AHEM what did you think about my new act nay personality? Pretty good for a professor right?" Alaric smirked before hitting a pose.
"You.... Are you real? It's a miracle your ass is considered an adult let alone a professor." Marius rubbed his temples before remembering what he was going to ask.
"Why would you call me in the middle of a lecture? This better be important."
"Because I was bored."
"..."
" I think my ears may be deceiving me what did you say again Professor Alaric." His expression warped into one of anger
"Heh, exactly what I said you might have to get your ears che- Hey Hey Hey what're you doing?" Alaric was going to continue riling him up but he felt the mana around Marius start to shift.
The aura around Marius changed as his body slowly floated into the air.
[The heavens weap as they look down at god's failed creation]
Two great runes materialized holy magic eminating from them.
[The enraged god stood still looking at his failure fury blooming in his eyes]
The two great runes merged before vaguely taking the shape of a man who's body couldn't be seen due to the glowing light surrounding him.
[The trumpets of annihilation echo through the universe as judgment falls]
Two trumpets appeared on the sides of Marius, releasing a deafening sound.
[Hear me o great one, may my body be your vessel. Your order my voice]
A giant thunderbolt long enough to cover the academy had materialized atop Marius finger as he aimed it down at Alaric.
[Rain down your fury...]
'As fucking epic as this is i still wanna see tomorrow.'
"HEY YOU DUMBASS YOUR SISTER IS TAKING PART IN THE EXAM!" Alaric shouted as loudly as he could hoping Marius could hear it through the buzzing sounds of the thunderbolt.
[Heaven's might]
Marius changed the trajectory of the thunderbolt last second and aimed it directly at the sky above.
The cloudy peaceful sky was no where to be seen as a giant hole in the sky appeared where the thunderbolt had passed through as the water vaporized.
Finally the sound of the thunderbolt exploding was heard as for a brief second the entire sky above the academy turned a dull gold.
Looking at the rain that started pouring down from above Alaric stared at Marius with a deadpan expression.
"You could've just told me before." Marius crossed his arms before picking Alaric up by the collar.
"You're coming with me." Marius's legs were covered with light and thunder as he basically teleported to the academy gate.
"Hmpf and you're not even saying thanks for the infor-" Marius dropped Alaric onto the ground.
As he stared at the smiling Marius Alaric sighed.
"Every dog has his day" He got up before dusting his clothes
[Cleanse]
Looking at the giant door he signalled the guards to open it.
Finally Alaric could hear it the sounds of hundreds of applicants talking to each other.
'this is why I hate academy novels.'
[SILENCE] Alaric used a spell to make sure his voice reached to the end of the line.
"Now move in an orderly queue to the examination hall. Me and professor Marius will guide you." Alaric said in a cold tone.
Then he felt a hand grab his shoulder from behind.
"Say Alaric... I'm not really seeing any sister anywhere in this line?"
*Sigh*
"We've barely been here for a minute how could you possibly find her?"
"Light magic and holy magic." His eyes briefly had electricity passing through them as his pupils dialeted and turned into a blur because of how fast they moved.
"She's already at the hall. Let's just finish this as fast as we ca-"
And he's gone.
'haaah what am I going to do with you.'
"Okay applicants we'll now move in an orderly queue to the hall. Maintain silence."
'i wonder if things will still go according to the plot.'

At the examination hall one could see a peculiar scene.
A giant silver orb stood in the middle of the room. Complex mana Circuitry powering it with small runes were written all over it.
At the same time a young girl probably 16 stood next to it with long wavey silver hair that continued all the way down to her ass. She gave off a regal aura with her imperial clothes.
Just as her hand was about to touch the sphere she heard a voice echo behind her.
"Seraphine..." Hearing the familiar voice she smiled.
"Well well well if it isn't the shame of the household." Seraphine grinned before waving at Marius.
"Why did you have to come here out of all places?" Marius asked not caring about her remarks.
"Why wouldn't i? After all this is the imperium academy the best academy in the world.
Just as Marius was about to reply he saw a light enter the room from above as Elira glanced at them from the balcony.
"Marius get your ass up here it's almost time for the students to arrive. No time for your family drama." She snapped her fingers as the room lit up from the light from the mana crystals scattered around.
"Make sure not to scare everyone away like last time." Elira said before leaving the room.
"We'll talk about this later seraphine." Marius turned his back away from her before he appeared on the balcony spectating her.
Finally the door to the room appeared as Alaric with a line of students came in.
"Alright alright settle down everyone i shall call upon your name after which you will pour your mana into the orb. It will tell us everything we need to know about you."
Alaric said before jumping atop the orb. In his hand he had taken out a clipboard handed to him from Selene.
By now the students had comfortably stood in the hall and finally took a look around.
students nervously gathered with each other. Some adjusted the collars of their stiff uniforms and others already cozy enough to spread rumours.
"Pssst... Did you know that if the orb shatters while you're touching it your soul gets cursed."
"Don't speak nonsense linden. The only thing it does is judge your magic and combat rank, mana quality, and which affinites you have..... I don't even know how much debt I'd have if I broke it." Whispers surrounded the room before they saw who had just appeared.
Next to Alaric who was going through his clipboard Marius appeared hovering in the air.
"Get this over with quickly Alaric. I have other matters to attend to."
"Yeah like your sister over there?" Alaric looked towards seraphine who was looking at Marius with a condescending gaze.
At the same time gasps and blushes swept through the girls in the room as they saw Marius.
Tall, composed and wearing the professor uniform, a sword rested on his hip. His snow white hair , sharp blue eyes and the air of disdain around him as he looked at them, it was too much for them to handle.
"Kyaaaaa!~ that's professor Drayne!"
"He's even more handsome in person...."
"I think a white tear went down my leg."
"Do you think he would still let me pass if I faint?"
"No you dumbass the professor next to him is grading us"
"Huh? Who's that I've never seen his face before anywhere?"
"Hmmm he looks... Good? Still nothing compared to Marius."

' i'm gonna murder each and every one of you' Alaric forced a neutral face but inside he was crying.
'i even ironed my suit yet not a single compliment? We live in a society'
He couldn't let such heresy be spoken of anymore.
"Welcome to your entrance examination. I'll be incharge for today's fate orb evaluation."
He once again heard the students start talking among themselves.
'Annoying'
"If I hear a single whisper from this point onwards that person automatically fails."
"Let's begin."
The first wave of students approached the orb as Alaric called for them.
"Candidate Seraphine Drayne step onto the platform."
She stepped forward her silver hair cascading in waves, golden eyes glowing with hospitality. Her uniform was flawless, marked with the imperial crest.
The orb reacted immediately as she poured her mana into it.

Whispers erupted once more in the crowd as the imperial princess's score came in before even they stopped once Alaric glanced at them with murderous intent.
'Still to think that she has a dual affinity together with an A+ mana quality, it's even more impressive then what was there in the plot.'
"Pass."
As he said so Seraphine winked at him playfully before returning back to the hall.
"Candidate Darius quandale"
.....
"Fail."
"Candidate.....
"Pass."
"Fail."
"Pass."
A symphony of passed and fails continued before he finally spotted a named character.
'well I'd be damned she's actually here.'
"Would candidate Veloria step onto the stage?"
No last name, No noble title.... no nothing the girl that approached looked out of place.
Her purple hair was tangled, her eyes dark and uncertain. She kept her head down. While her whole body was quivering with nervouness.
A few students snickered. She raised a trembling hand and placed it on the orb.

The girl bit her lip as she gazed at her result. Before she started punching the sphere until her fingers were painted purple.
'why.... Why does this always have to happen to me?'
She started crying as she felt the condescending glances the other applicants threw at her. The other girls who were jealous of her figure snickered at her.
"Get up applicant this is not place to cry." Veloria shivered as she felt Alaric's aura overpowering her.
"Y-yes professor."
"Pass." Alaric said while putting a tick mark next to her name.
"W-what?"
"Is he just after her body?"
"Why the fuck did he fail me but pass her?!"
Various voices erupted in the hall.
Even Marius next to him raised his eyebrow.
"Quiet."
"Applicant Veloria wait at my office. The guards shall guide you there."
The whole time Veloria stood frozen in place before tears finally fell down her eyes.
"T-thank you professor." Veloria bowed repeatedly.
'To think that one of the final villains is in such a miserable state... Pitiable.'
At the same time he felt Marius starting daggers at him.
"Alright fine I'll explain it later stop staring at me like that."
"Okay, next candidate.....
Finally after over two hours the hundreds of candidates had been thinned down into barely thirty that passed the academy's specifications.
'finally time for the main event. Where exactly are you my dear protagonist." As he finally flipped to the last page of the clipboard he saw it,
'Bingo'
Lysander Aelwin
"This is gonna be good..."
