-"Four days. You have four days to come up with a formal debut stream idea, Iudex."
-"Hold on, four days? I don't even know how to stream to begin with."
-"I said idea, Iudex, focus more on the words! Obviously you don't think we just hire talents and let them fend for their lives on their first stream, do you?
All you have to do is tinker on your own, construct your ideal introduction to the world! Let them all see you!"
-"Doable, I can do that much.
It would only be right to make it fit within the name bequeathed to me by you, Mr. Yagoo."
-"Look at you speaking like an actual judge! You've got your character right, we might have some acting lessons, interested in being the teacher?"
-"Huh?"
-"..Nevermind that.. Damn good joke gone to waste.
Yes, it would be better if you have the setting, content and channel ideas fall under the one category that is you, Iudex."
I stayed silent, gritting my teeth slightly as I poured my mind for a background, a story,
That's when I received a bonk on the head.
-"No getting help. I want it to be you and you only. Any other influences will easily seep in.
Make a good first impression for everyone Iudex.
I'll be here if you ever need guidance, 'kay?"
He patted my shoulder as I left right after.
Of course, I got lost because he didn't tell me anything about where to go now, so I was about to head to wandering instead, maybe sleep in the main hall where that Panther-Lady was sitting.
It's just a few days. I've endured worse.
(Recommended Song: Peekaboo - Kendrick Lamar)
I couldn't escape anyone's attention. Every corner I turned, someone peeked out and tried to get to know me.
Is this what you call social anxiety? Being afraid of anyone looking at you for even a second? If so, count me in.
-"Yo, new guy, over here."
Impossible, a male in this corporation filled with women?
Maybe he's part of that branch HoloStar that Mr. Yagoo spoke of.
I continued walking, not wanting to converse with anyone any longer, but that seemed to tick him off.
"Oi, I'm talking to you here."
He was about to place a hand on me to make me stop moving but someone else intervened.
-"Oi to yourself! Jurard, this is no way to act towards your new junior!"
I turn around to look up at the commotion, two men, who looked the exact opposite, one had wine-red hair and two guns holstered by his side, who I'm assuming is Jurard judging by his unhappy expression.
The other had light blue hair, had a much more peaceful expression on his face despite his inflection of scolding.
-"And I'm trying to teach our new junior here some respect. I wasn't going to hit him, just.. A simple scare."
-"Jurard, you do that and I'll shove your gun up your a-"
Alright my ears had it up to here.
-"Enough."
My unintentionally commanding tone seemed to reverberate throughout their entire being as they just looked at me immediately, but they went back to their normal states, Jurard let out a small whistle of amusement.
-"He talks, how wondrous!"
-"Come on Jurard.. It's his first day! Atleast wait until after he debuts to start your antics!"
This blue haired fellow will be someone I visit frequently. Sensible.
-"..Altare. Back off. You know I hate it when you try to act as the peacemaker between all."
-"I don't care, I'm not trying to be the good guy here I'm trying to stop you from getting yourself kicked out, Yagoo-San had immense patience with you last time, you big oaf."
-"Why you.."
I didn't notice but I did feel a strange sense of change inside of myself.
I wanted to shut him up personally.
It was like I was gaining a sense of.. Confidence in myself?
Not like I didn't have it before, no, but this time it felt different.
Like I knew I could, for this specific time only.
-"I said enough.
What do you want, Jurard."
-"...Nevermind."
Huh? Why's he turning around?
"We'll speak later after your debut, make sure you don't trip and fail it, junior."
-"Jurard, I will rip your thro-"
-"Yeah yeah we get it Altare, later."
Jurard walked away. He caused a hassle then left, how counterintuitive. I don't know what exactly is up with him, but it seems the other man, Altare, was very well-acquainted with Jurard's "Antics" as he calls it.
-"Sorry about that, how should I refer to you?"
-"Iudex is fine, since that's going to be my main call from now on."
-"I am Altare, Regis Altare, nice meeting you Iudex!"
We exchange greetings, shaking his hands and whatnot, and he begins to speak about himself.
"Let me start by saying this again, I am Regis Altare, the founder of the Adventurer's Guild of TEMPUS, which also holds the same debut name of generation's unit.
There's a few others I'd love for you to meet at a later date, we're all like family over here.
A realm beyond imagination lays unknown to you, Iudex, I hope to get your company to see it one day, how about it?"
-"I will have your offer in consideration, believe it or not you're the first person from HoloStars I've properly met."
-"That's good to hear! Well, not really, sadly it took you this late, but being the first to meet you makes me happy that we got you off on a good note."
-"Mhm.."
-"Are you heading anywhere right now? I'm free and have no scheduled streams for the day, I can show you around."
He's a really friendly man, this Altare.
Actually everyone here is, besides this dude Jurard, everyone has been basically the same, kind, happy, cheerful, teasing.
It's not a bad thing, better than the other way around.
-"I am sort of.. Lost. Headless chicken in here.
I forgot to ask where to go."
-"Oh! I can show you to A-Chan! She's basically everyone's go-to solver for any problems you might have!"
-"A..Chan?"
-"A-Chan, Friend A, that's her codename, don't worry about it too much, there's far more.. odd names than that.
She's the bestest of the best you'll meet, and that's a REALLY high bar to pass here at HoloCorp!"
That radiant smile can light up my room.
