Danso sprinted towards the main lobby as Haruki, Tensei, Chiro, Emily, and Natsuki were all gathered sitting on the couch. Danso stepped tiny steps towards them with his heart beating in anxiousness, wondering whether he would get in or not. He has Haruki and Natsuki's votes, but that's only two of the three votes required for the guaranteed job. There was an apparent awkwardness in the living room. Chiro, to ease the room, coughed and proceeded to start speaking.
"The two-week waiting time has ended, therefore, the voting will commence now," said Chiro as Emily summoned one cardboard box and gave two papers with the words 'yes' or 'no' to each of the confirmed members.
"Now these are the rules of the voting," said Emily with a cold glare on her face. "I gave you two papers just now, with yes or no written on them. Put your preferred choice paper in this box as your vote. Since this box is summoned by me, I will know if you rig the voting, Danso, so if you do, you are automatically disqualified," continued Emily.
"Alright, let the voting commence!" Natsuki clapped as all the members made a line.
Emily walked towards Chiro and dragged him out of the line, pulling his sleeve and pushing him to make him sit on the sofa. Chiro landed on the sofa and put on a questioning face, since he didn't know what was going on, nor did any of the members.
"Chiro will always vote yes anyway, so I have decided to make sure he doesn't vote," said Emily as she commanded him to sit.
"Emily wants me to lose this bad?!" shrieked Danso in his mind.
Danso sat alongside Chiro on the couch and just sat there in silence. Chiro noticed this, put his hand over his shoulder, and mouthed the words 'It'll be fine, relax!' The first member to vote was Tensei, then followed by Natsuki, then Emily, and lastly Haruki. After the voting ended, Emily took the box and ripped it open, and proceeded to throw all the papers in the box on the floor.

Natsuki voted Yes
Emily voted No
"The results are a draw, then," said a disappointed Emily.
"Well, now what happens?" questioned Danso as Haruki started squealing in excitement, having no patience and begging Natsuki to know what happens next.
"Well, this is a military squad, right? If the second trial was a draw then let there be a third trial!" announced Chiro with a big, happy smile on his face.
"What?" said Emily.
"What's the third trial?" said a bored and exhausted Tensei.
"Well, who are the people who voted for Danso to leave the DMMS?" asked Chiro.
Emily and Tensei proceeded to raise their hands.
"Well, now you guys have a choice! Vote for him to be here, or fight him in a battle! If you lose, he gets an extra vote! If you win, he doesn't get your vote," said Chiro excitedly.
"Do I get to fight big bro Danso?" asked Haruki.
"No, you voted for him to stay right?" said Chiro bluntly.
"Aw, man," shrugged a disappointed Haruki.
"So I get to fight bird brains, eh?" mocked Tensei as he was cracking his knuckles.
"Since you are so eager, you fight him first," ordered Emily as she sat back on the sofa.
"Alright, I'll take you on loner," aggravated Danso as both Tensei and he locked eyes and started glaring at each other like sharks not wanting to share prey.
"Then it's settled! Tensei, Danso, and whoever wants to watch go to the roof!" declared Chiro.
Danso, Tensei, and Chiro all used the elevator, as Emily retreated to her room, probably preparing for the fight just in case Tensei won. Haruki went to watch the fight using the stairs, and Natsuki escorted Haruki to make sure he didn't get in trouble or cause trouble. The roof of the headquarters was a vast empty terrace with guard rails on the edges to prevent people from falling over accidentally and injuring themselves. Even though they had Natsuki, the best healer in Lukia, they did not want to take any risks. Haruki and Natsuki sat on the right corner of the terrace using the guard rails as back support to watch the match. Chiro stood in the middle while Danso and Tensei took opposite sides of the battlefield.
"Now! Get ready!" screamed Chiro. "Haruki, do the honors of counting down, please," asked Chiro as Haruki's eyes glittered in the sun with overjoy.
"3,2,1! Fight!" said Haruki.
Danso and Tensei sprinted towards each other, leaving dust behind as their feet left the ground. Danso unsheathed his sword while Tensei used his ulna enhanced in soul energy to attempt to block the upcoming attack. Danso, anticipating this, jumped up as soon as Tensei was about to block and decided to attack from above. Danso wanted to end this as soon as possible, as he does not have enough stamina to fight to the fullest, as he woke up from a two-week slumber around ten minutes ago.
"Sword Art of Fire:- Pyro Wheel," said Danso as his blade started to gain heat and fire started to swirl around his sword.
Tensei smirked and jumped a few steps back, dodging the coming aerial attack and preparing his counterattack.
"Water Demon Magic:- Whirlpool Fist," said Tensei.
The attack landed a clean hit on Danso as he was sent flying to the opposite side and hit the guard rail. The effects of the whirlpool fist are that after it lands, the soul energy will disable your eyesight be disabled in a manner that you will feel like everything is spinning and dizzy. Danso started walking in circles as he got up and fell back to the floor.
"Not so strong for a recruit," laughed Tensei as he sprinted towards Danso.
"Chiro, you are not going to help Danso?" said Natsuki.
"Why would I? Unless he gets seriously injured, then I'd even think about it," clarified Chiro as he continued watching the one-sided fight.
Danso got up and started scheming another plan. Since everything felt dizzy and he kept on walking in circles, what if he used that to his advantage? He kept the tip of his sword on the ground and started running in spirals, creating a cloud of dust. This made Tensei not able to find where Danso was. Danso continued running fast, using his passive ability to ignite his legs and run at full speed. Tensei merely had entered the dust tornado, but as soon as he did, Danso sliced his waist. By now, the effects of the whirlpool fist wore off, and Danso stopped spinning as he stood in front of Tensei, who fell.
"One attack hurt you that bad?" said Danso.
Tensei got back up, and both of them started having a staring contest to see who would attack or back out first. After a standoff, Tensei went for the next attack.
"Water Demon Magic:- Water Demon Claws," said Tensei.
Tensei's nails and his entire arms turned into a scaly blue demon form. It was a mix of sapphire and navy blue with a sharp fin popping out on the humerus. Tensei rushed towards Danso, attempting to strike him down in this attack. Danso continued to dodge flawlessly, although it had taken a toll on his stamina. Noticing that Danso's movements were becoming rougher, Tensei decided to amp up his attacks more, increasing in strength and speed. Then he scratched Danso's stomach, leaving a mark above his belly hole. Danso had taken the scratch and stood with a flinch of pain. As Tensei was about to go for another attack using his other hand, Danso slapped the hand away and kicked him using his passive ability to ignite his leg without burning himself on the neck. This made Tensei fall to the floor, and Danso decided to bring the curtain finisher.
"Sword Art of Flames:- Logi's Blade," said Danso as he swung his sword.
"Water Demon Magic:- Two-Horned Water Demon Transformation," said Tensei.
Tensei is a Water Demon. Demons are the offspring of the four original Devils. The four Devils were the Fire Devil, Water Devil, Earth Devil, and the Wind Devil. Three of those devils fell in love with a human and created the first demons. Tensei is the thirty-fifth generation of Demons therefore, his appearance is more of a human as his human genes were taking over. He only has one demon horn to solidify his demon appearance. His Water Demon transformation transforms him into a full demon with two horns..
Danso's eyes widened in shock. Tensei's body started to change as it turned more scaly, and an extra horn grew out of the other side of his head, completing the set.
"Tensei!" screamed Natsuki as her eyes also widened in shock.
Tensei rushed at Danso, picking him up and throwing him outside the guard rails, making him fall down the headquarters. Haruki stared in shock, not able to comprehend what was going on. Chiro got up quickly and looked from the top to the bottom, unable to see Danso. Then, he looked at Tensei.
"I cannot have you going on a rampage, so I'll knock you out, sorry Tensei," apologized Chiro as Tensei growled at him.
Emily rushed up the stairs to see what had happened. A sudden spike in soul energy was felt by her, so she was scared of what happened, and her worst dreams came true.
"That idiot! Why did he think he was ready for a full transformation?!" shrieked Emily. "Where is the other idiot?" asked Emily.
"No time, just focus on stopping Tensei," ordered Chiro as he turned serious.
Chiro opened his sword, and as he was about to say the executionary action words of his sorcery, a streak of smoke appeared as a figure, almost a rocket, flew up the headquarters and above them. Danso had used his passive ability to ignite his legs and create a mini rocket that let him fly, so he didn't die or get injured.
"Did I make anyone worried?" asked Danso.
Emily's eyes went from tensed to more relaxed as she was relieved that Danso was fine. Danso noticed this and quickly stared away as Emily noticed him staring at her.
"I knew you wouldn't lose," said Chiro.
"I'll take care of this with one attack," said Danso.
"Alright, go for it!" encouraged Chiro.
Danso took a deep breath as he charged up all his soul energy onto his fingers and distributed it to his sword. He opened his eyes and smiled as Tensei was about to leap towards him.
"Sword Art of Flames:- Fire of Ragnarok," said Danso as he attacked Tensei.
The Demon scales started to disappear from Tensei as he fell to the floor from the sky. Natsuki and Chiro went towards him to check if he was fine. Natsuki took Tensei to the medical ward while Chiro went towards Danso, who landed on the floor along with everyone.
"You got Tensei's vote, so that makes it three to one! Therefore, you are the new member of the DMMS!" declared Chiro.
"Is Tensei going to be fine?" asked Danso.
"Obviously! This happened before, do not worry, nothing will happen to him," said Chiro.
Danso sighed a breath of relief before he used the elevator to go back to his room and take a long, nice nap.
