It was morning and I checked my phone and saw missed calls from an unknown number, I immediately called back and I heard a soft voice...hey Tony, it's Mary
Hey mary where are you?? What happened? Where did you go to? I thought you were with me? Mary what happened? Heyy talk to me..I threw dozens of questions to her but she remained mute. I decided to stop asking for awhile so as to hear what she has to say and after some minutes, she spoke... Tony what are you? Please talk to me, who are you truly? What were you planning on doing to me?? Where have I ever gone wrong? Tony why do you hate me this much? These questions kept coming out of Mary's mouth and I remained speechless.
I was wondering where all this was coming from and just as I was about to feign ignorance. My mind flashed back to where my eyes was blue and I decided to hold on before saying anything, I had to pretend like I didn't know what she was talking about. Mary what do you mean by that? We were together last night and you just left me all to myself, I tried going after you but you were nowhere to be found. I had to ask a friend for a favor in order to get your number but still, you called with a different number, what's wrong Mary? Tony your eyes, your eyes Tony...she replied with a low Tone.
Oh crap, I couldn't say any other word, she went on about how I had excessive energy and how I was banging her furiously and when she looked at me while I was pounding her from the back, she saw my eyes blue and she got so scared, she told me she doesn't want to scream so I wouldn't harm her and she was so lucky I went to the bathroom. That gave her enough time to escape from me.
Mary please listen to me, I'm still human I swear to you, I didn't know what came over me yesterday but trust me, I'm not a demon.. it was my first time seeing my eyes that way and I'm as scared as you are, please believe me. I didn't complete my sentence before she ended the call on me.
I sat in my bed for hours thinking about the whole incident, I honestly thought I was the only one who saw the eyes and I didn't know Mary saw that too. Another thought hit me just when I was about dialling her number again, STEPHANIE!!!!
After my last encounter with Stephanie, she avoided me like a plague till now and never said a word to me, could that be it? Did my eyes transform while I was getting intimate with her? I asked myself questions that I knew I wouldn't get answers to. My eyes? My strength? Stephanie? Mary? My distancing myself from the world for a long time, could that be it? I was looking for clues as to what happened to me, I needed answers. I summoned up the courage and decided to ask my parents whenever they're back at night.
The day went so slow that I could swear it was 32hours instead of 24hours, I slept most of the time just to avoid getting into more trouble, I didn't tell anyone else and didn't make contact with anyone cause I never wanted to hurt anyone. My parents came back and after the dinner, I went straight to my dad's room, my mum was still at the parlour so I was opportuned to have a private conversation with my dad. Hey dad, I need to tell you something please. Something has been bothering me and I need you to help me out. My dad's facial expression changed and he stood up and went to shut the door properly, he looked at me and I could see concerns written all over his face, he was hiding something and I wanted to find out what it was. You've found out..those were the words my dad said and I was starting to get more anxious, dad please tell me what's wrong with me please, tell me. Son I thought you were different from me and your grandad, I honestly thought you were just a human but I guess I was wrong, I can smell you from miles away, I knew you were gonna come to me but seems like you're not yet well informed. You can smell me from miles away? I asked. Then my Dad proceeded To telling me how I grew up with human scent and how he and my grandad checked me properly just to make sure I was human but their doubts were put to rest when they couldn't smell any scent from me but a Human's own. What scent? Human scent? What am I dad? Please? Please talk to me.
Slowly, my dad looked at me and said, you're my son and I'm proud to have you. Dad please tell me what I am, how long do you plan on keeping me in the dark? I saw my eyes blue and I had this emerging strength I've never had before, please talk to me. My dad said my grandad would be here tomorrow and I can ask him all I want to ask, Dad how did you know granpa would be coming here? My grandpa has never visited since when I was small and I've never spoken to him but I've seen him in the Family picture at our parlour. Son, you've got a nice scent, your scent is the strongest out of all the others and I know you're a special one, I should have seen this coming... You being smart in class and how you distance yourself from the world, I should have noticed this earlier but it's just your smell that made me know, you're indeed special son. Your grandpa must have perceived you and he'll be here by tomorrow to take over from where I stopped. I left the room more disappointed and I couldn't blink my eyes, I had questions but my dad insists on my grandpa answering those questions himself, I was frustrated and angry at the same time. Multiple emotions flooded me and I punched forcefully on my glass and it shattered to soon many pieces. I looked at the floor filled with broken glasses and I saw my reflection, my eyes were blue again. I looked closely this time around and I could see my eyes were like fire, burning blue....my vision changed completely, I could hear car horns from miles away and I could hear everything my neighbours were talking about, everything was so clear. I could hear noises of animals running in the bush nearly and I could hear the cracks of nuts from a squirrels mouth. My vision became blurry and I fell hard on the floor as I blacked out.
