Chapter 18 - Chapter 18:The Bonecrusher Tribe

Ugga Bonecrusher, who had been hungry for three days, wolfed down the ice field worms while answering Garon.

"Ugh, our Bonecrusher Tribe has a total of forty-four ogres: a two-headed ogre leader, twenty-two male adult ogres, ten female adult ogres, and eleven juvenile ogres."

This traitor shamelessly sold out his tribe's information.

A two-headed ogre?

Garon was shocked internally.

Among the ogre race, most were brutes like Ugga Bonecrusher who wielded large wooden clubs, but occasionally, highly intelligent subspecies capable of wielding magic were born, known as ogre mages.

Ogre mages weren't necessarily two-headed ogres, but two-headed ogres were definitely ogre mages. Besides their strong physiques, they also possessed spellcasting abilities. Because they had two heads, they could multitask and think with dual threads, making them much more powerful than ordinary ogre mages.

And in the Noah Continent, those who could cast spells had the right to speak. Mages who mastered spells above the ninth circle were like walking nuclear bombs, highly respected wherever they went, and a single word from them could influence the decisions of a kingdom.

The most respected identity was always that of a mage.

Reality wasn't a game that needed to consider class balance. In the Noah Continent, a wealthy mage could defeat more than a dozen warriors of the same level and emerge victorious. And besides combat abilities, magic could also do many strange things.

Such as teleportation arrays, city shields, and interdimensional summoning.

"A two-headed ogre, that's troublesome."

According to Garon's understanding, ordinary juvenile dragons wouldn't have much chance of winning against a two-headed ogre. If that two-headed ogre also mastered high-level spells, it would be even more troublesome and difficult to deal with.

As for ordinary ogres, although each of them was strong and sturdy, they didn't pose much of a threat to him.

Thinking of this, Garon's eyes showed a thoughtful look.

After pondering for a moment, he asked, "How far is the Bonecrusher Tribe from here?"

Ugga scratched his head and said, "Not far, only about fifty kilometers."

More than fifty kilometers... for ordinary people, it was a relatively long distance.

But for creatures like Garon and ogres, it was a very small number.

Before Garon could ask further, Ugga's next words made his expression change slightly.

"The tribe members occasionally come to hunt near this glacier river. There's a water source here, and more prey comes and goes."

Different races of creatures had different habits and customs. Ogres were a race that liked filth and chaos and didn't like water. Otherwise, when Garon discovered the small glacier river, it would definitely have already been occupied by ogres.

Garon also furrowed his dragon brows, his heart sinking.

Didn't that mean he could face the threat of the ogre tribe at any time?

Ordinary times were fine, but if his lair was discovered by ogres during hibernation, it would be a very dangerous thing. The two-headed ogre, in particular, needed to be watched and guarded against.

Garon thought for a moment and said in a deep voice, "Tell me all the information you know about the two-headed ogre leader's abilities."

Ugga's eyes lit up. Knowing full well that Garon wanted to deal with his tribe leader, he actually said with great joy under Garon's strange gaze, "Our leader is called Serra Bonecrusher, about as tall as Ugga..."

A few minutes later, Ugga Bonecrusher told Garon the information about the two-headed ogre in great detail and looked at Garon with anticipation.

Garon pondered slightly, without speaking.

After a moment, he looked at Ugga Bonecrusher with a meaningful gaze and said, "Tell me, why are you so eager to tell me this information?"

Ugga Bonecrusher scratched his head embarrassedly, grinning foolishly, "Because Ugga wants to be the leader. He is Ugga's biggest obstacle."

After a pause, Ugga Bonecrusher knelt down sincerely and said to Garon, "Great True Dragon, if you can kill Serra and let Ugga become the leader of the Bonecrusher Tribe, Ugga Bonecrusher swears to you in the name of the Sun God that the Bonecrusher Tribe will respect you and be at your command."

Sun God? Garon was slightly stunned.

When did ogres start believing in the Sun God? Shouldn't it be gods like the God of Strength or the God of Courage?

Moreover, there wasn't a real Sun God in the Noah Continent.

Garon was a bit puzzled. In his Dragon Inheritance, the Sun God wasn't a deity in the Noah Continent.

But Garon didn't think too much about this.

After all, deities stood in great numbers in the Noah Continent, and there were countless beliefs and religions. Perhaps this 'Sun God' was a newly emerged god, so it wasn't yet recorded in the Dragon Inheritance.

But in any case, daring to swear in the name of a god, whether true or false, was no small matter.

Those who broke their oaths would definitely be cursed by the gods.

In a world with gods, swearing in the name of a god was the most solemn contract, not something to be said casually.

As for what Ugga Bonecrusher said about killing the two-headed ogre leader... Garon was a bit tempted.

Because according to Ugga Bonecrusher's description, although the two-headed ogre leader could cast spells, the only spell it had ever used was a forked lightning bolt.

Thinking about it, magic wasn't that easy to master.

Although the two-headed ogre was a rare subspecies, it wasn't a very outstanding magical creature.

After gaining a certain understanding of the two-headed ogre through Ugga Bonecrusher, Garon was already pondering strategies to deal with it.

How could he allow others to snore beside his bed? And it was a ferocious ogre tribe that ate anything.

Of course, if this tribe was under his control, it would be a good thing. Its overall strength far exceeded all of Garon's current familiars. After subduing it, it could solve many things for Garon.

In the current Ice River territory, although the Arctic Ice Spirits' strength was growing day by day after transforming into dragonblood creatures, they were still too weak, as they had just started. The terror lizard and white hound pets weren't very strong either.

With the addition of the ogre tribe, the strength of the Ice River territory could be greatly improved. If they encountered some minor troubles, Garon wouldn't necessarily have to take action himself to solve them.

In addition, as his body grew, his appetite was getting bigger and bigger. The current hunting results of his familiars were already a bit difficult to satisfy Garon's stomach. He needed more familiars.

"Before the next hibernation, destroy or subdue this ogre tribe."

After a brief thought, Garon made a decision.

He looked at Ugga Bonecrusher, his expression unchanged, and asked calmly, "Ugga, how does the strength of the adult ogres in the Bonecrusher Tribe compare to yours?"

Ugga Bonecrusher was stunned for a moment and said, "Except for the leader, Ugga is already the strongest ogre."

Although he had just come of age, he had already defeated all ordinary ogres in the tribe. Otherwise, the thought of replacing the leader wouldn't have been born.

Garon sized up Ugga's body.

Three meters tall, hard bulging muscles under the simple tanned leather clothes... the height of adult ogres was roughly between two meters six and three meters. Ugga Bonecrusher's size was indeed large among ogres.
